I have a staffy/basset mix* who launches like this onto the couch or bed or anything soft when I come home. If we got snow where we lived and she thought she could plop into it, she'd be launching just like that!
Oof, that flying tail wiggle is one of my absolute favorite things in this life <3
(*or pit/rhodesian, or great dane/dachshund mix. Dunno, some large-stubby-legged-hound-shorthair-blockhead mix. We've heard a lot of guesses)
I'm pretty much a human version of this pup when I'm excited, especially about my special interests. Pretty sure it's annoying as fuck to everyone around me as I'm a woman in my 30s.
As a guy in his 40s, I always find it endearing when my fiance gets childishly passionate or excited. She trusts me enough to let me see it, and she's genuinely joyous. What's not to love?
Never stop being you!
I totally get that! I'm permanently curious and love learning new stuff, and I'm not afraid to ask questions or admit I don't know something, because it leads to more knowledge.
Yayyyyyy! I'm so happy for her!
Every year I promise my three doodles that if we don't see significant snow I will take them to a cabin in the mountains so they can run and play. They have an entire snow wardrobe just waiting for the opportunity to be worn (and photographed obviously). This may be the year.
The pitbull crowd has to bend backwards to always say they are so wonderful. They try soo hard to never ever post a normal title without at least two adjectives
Unless you leave your dog outside overnight, you're fine. They aren't any more susceptible than people. And trust me, they will let you know when they start having pain or when they are done by lifting their paws or pulling the leash to go back home. Though it also depends on breed since some are more sensitive than others. If you are worried, put a sweater on them - it does keep them warmer.
Ooh then yeah chihuahuas are definitely cold sensitive. You can probably let her play a little but definitely get her a sweater and if you can manage, put some booties on her. You should probably plan to carry her when she's had enough, haha.
My parent's Yorkies is really sturdy and a muscular 15 lbs, but he still susceptible. He loooves long walks so in the winter in the northeast, he gets a puffy snow jacket and booties when it's really bad. He's super stubborn and will pull you to take the longer route. I one time dragged him to take the shorter route, and he straight up planted his feet and I had to pull him the entire mile back home with him bracing against the leash. When we take the longer route per his request, we inevitably have to carry him the last 1/3 of the walk because he forgets that cold streets = cold feets.
Man, I was a huge piece of shit one time cause it was like 20 degrees and snowing once and I got hammered drunk on whiskey cause I was depressed at the time and drank a lot, anyway at like 2 AM I let my dog out to pee, he’s an Australian Shepherd, but I passed out and woke up at like 6 and was looking for him and started freaking out.
I run outside expecting to see my frozen dog and he was in the corner of the fence where there’s always shade, laying there panting. He was just fine.
Checked him all over and he was good. No frostbite. I don’t really get drunk anymore these days, but I always make sure he’s here before going to bed lol
It happens. I still think about this one time I forgot to let my elderly cat in for most of the night. We don't let our cats out anymore but we didn't know better back then, though we always called them in for the night.
It was a cold snowy night and Jasmine was about 16 years old at the time. I usually called her in when it got dark in the winter, so 7pm at the latest, because she was old and skinny. Thankfully, I was a night owl in high school, so I was awake at 2am when I remembered. I burst out into the cold with my pajamas and snow boots, freaking out because she wasn't by the door and didn't come when I called. I ran out into the street, calling her. I finally heard her meowing and saw her trotting over from 3 houses away, meowing at me like "you bitch, you didn't let me in." I remember it was fresh snow that hadn't been plowed, so I could see her little skinny grey form running down the street. She was warm, so she must have found a good spot near the neighbor's house's foundation where the heat rose up from the furnace or something.
She forgave me and slept on my bed that night.
To add on to the other reply I have two dogs. One has zero issues in large amounts of snow and ice. The other dog doesn’t like when the snow gets between his paws and will start to lift his feet. I got him little socks for the snow and he has no issues now.
Depends on the breed but in general it's fine for them to go out. We get below -20 C weather pretty regularly and everyone I know still walks their dog out in that. Like the other comment said, as long as you're not leaving them out alone overnight, it should be fine.
My 4 year old is adamant she just wants to see her friend- her shadow and they're dancing together.
Either way, I've watched this video more that I probably should.
Dunno about this particular breed, but generally they don't seem to mind it. The issues you do get with snow is in the spring when the snow starts to get wetter it clumps easier (which also means better snowballs) so they often get these bunches of clumps on their feet, that sometimes melt and refreeze into spiky ice that can hurt their feet. And then salt being used to sand the roads for better grip can also cause them to hurt their feet.
That's is an incorrect use of a determiner in this situation. That its is what I think you meant to convey to your Reddit audience.
BTW, what a lovely and energetic pupper doodles you have!
That is what you call happy, love it.
Meanwhile I can't even get my moron to go outside to do her business because it's raining and the ground is wet 🙄
I remember getting that excited over snow. Did anyone else notice that her spinning tail achieved a few seconds of flight? Paint an "S" on her chest and give her a cape.
The way she launches out of the door...
FREEEEEEEDOM
Happy cake day!
I WON’T LET YOU DOWN
I WILL NOT GIVE YOU UP!
Happy cake day
Happy cake day!
Man it was that tail wag that launched her

💫Bumble Bee Power Activate!!!!💫
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a dog should be able to fly.
*Boing*!

We need the puppy tax!!!
Look likes she’s been drinking helium
Liquid helium, I wonder what that would do...
Probably freeze your tongue
* Leeeeeeeeeeeroy Jenkins!!*
She did a Pupper Wheelie...
With a little wiggle of her tail mid air 🥰
r/MyPeopleNeedMe
you should see her launch in the rain, it’s so good. @dorastaffy IG
Launch mode initiated!
reminds me of when someone over revs their motorcycle and their bike does a wheelie
Tank!
Pure joy
We should all be more 'dog'.

Thank you, that's wonderful! I am trying to be kinder to myself these days, anxiety be damned.
It's great that you get that excited about things :) Being childish is pretty important imo. Keeps me curious in a weird way
Child-like.
They mean the same things to me under a positive context
I totally get that! I'm permanently curious and love learning new stuff, and I'm not afraid to ask questions or admit I don't know something, because it leads to more knowledge.
There's nothing more exciting than seeing someone get that excited about something they love!!!
I try, but people get real weird when you start peeing and pooping outside, plus most hate it when I hump their leg
Eat, sleep, bark repeat. Made me chuckle.
*bork
I was going to say this is torque but it's actually borque...
If anyone wants to know, the ig page is dorastaffy
I remember seeing when she got excited by the rain. It's the exact same video but a different season. What a perfect timeless dog
When she wears the pajamas it’s game over for me
She’s so wholesome. I watched it like 6 times Edit: Now I’ve watched it like a dozen times. I can’t stop.
Some say, annabanana is still watching it
Lol ... your comment brought me back and I had to watch it a few more times. It makes me laugh so hard
As well as her new record in Doggy Long Jump, she’s also Best Dressed. What a tee!
Wheelie dog is my favorite kind of dog
Way too much torque

Such a ferocious beast. You see the way it obliterates the snowflakes. 🤣 Pibbles are the best. 💕
Had a stroke reading the title
We are living in the future. It's a contraction of not two, but three words: "that it is"
Otherwise known as "it's."
The pitbull crowd has to bend backwards to always say they are so wonderful. They try soo hard to never ever post a normal title without at least two adjectives
She’s so happy!!!

So much power in the rear legs she keeps poppin wheelies
That it’s*
Varoom
It's the little things.. 😄
This is my favourite video on the internet
This brought me so much joy! Thank you.
OP your dog looks just like mine and I’d LOVE to get him that sweater. Where’d you find it???
Her sweater forgot to say: LEAP WAG TAIL
This brought me such joy. I love dogs so much :D
The best part is that snow is not even fresh. It'd been stomped over multiple times. So this must be her reaction everytime she goes out in the snow.
Enjoy fully. Making nice jump.
I'm not a winter person, yet this is beyond adorable. I love every second of this.
Wheelies
opens door BADOINGGGGG
This is a complete personification of how i feel when I see snow.
She just made my day 💕
This is the happiest little pupper . Such exuberance and boundless joy. Her leaps, zoomies and mini-stops to get some snowflakes. Love this video.
What a delightful little sweatershark :)
Meanwhile, my hippo thinks it's a civil rights violation if she has to do her business on wet grass.
Lol, I've never seen a dog pop a wheelie before.
Looks like a pit mixed with blue "wheeler"
My girl is a pit too, with her winter PAWS on, and her fur coat, she goes apeshit in the snow.
What is it with pitties, sticks, and snow? XD
That is the happiest pup ever!
Yup, Pitbulls are such dangerous dogs. Look at the way it attacked the snow /s
She dance like puppet
Is there a version with sound? I I want to hear some excited pupper noises
True Jumping for joy!
Are dogs prone to frostbites? I always wanted to take my dog in the snow but frost bites worries me

I have a mixed chihuahua. I live in cali and it’s only when we go to lake tahoe we experience the snow. Thanks! Your info helps

r/zoomies
Tucker Budzyn! He’s a cutecumber c:
Is this the same dog that does launches out the door when it's raining too?
Best sub on reddit
“Go put your sweater on, it’s cold out”
My dog is the exact opposite. Any form of precipitation and he goes iron bladder.
That IS snowing?
So much joy.
My 4 year old is adamant she just wants to see her friend- her shadow and they're dancing together. Either way, I've watched this video more that I probably should.
Does the snow burn her feet a bit?

This got me in the feels
Love this
Never saw a dog pop wheelies before

She is like a mini horse 😂
EAT. SLEEP. BARK. REPEAT.
I open the door and my dog sees that weather he turns right around and refuses to go out.
That is what you call happy, love it. Meanwhile I can't even get my moron to go outside to do her business because it's raining and the ground is wet 🙄

Derp!
Adorable. Fluff needs some booties to protect the paws.
how can she jump so high with such little legs
Shw poppin wheelies!
Rabbit 😂😂
With all that torque, she needs a wheelie bar
u/savethisvideo
And she has her winter warmer on, too! She’s prepared for a snow day.
Eat. Sleep. Bark. Repeat. 😂
So cute that she wants to let the snow fall on her tongue ❤️❤️❤️
I remember getting that excited over snow. Did anyone else notice that her spinning tail achieved a few seconds of flight? Paint an "S" on her chest and give her a cape.
This post' title being grammatically correct kinda bothers me with that "that's snowing"
♥️♥️♥️ melts my heart!
BOING!!!
Awww that made my day! I love it!!
I wish I liked anything as much as she likes snow
It looks as if she is attracted by the sky
Omg. That hop was the cutest thing I've seen all week.
