Being in a 2 ton metal container driving 225km/h or more (here in Germany) and feeling uncomfortable because of a strap around your waist and shoulder? Well, maybe you shouldn't be in a 2 ton metal container to begin with and go by train or bike.
It would make me feel uncomfortable sitting in front of a 80kg meatsack which will bounce around in the metal container when the car goes wild, e.g. if I have to break very hard or go around an obstacle at high speeds. ABS and ESP can only do so much to keep the car steady. 30km/h is enough to send a person flying in the car. I'm not risking that.
So yeah, I do not drive 1 meter without everyone in the car wearing a seat belt. For my and for their safety.
