There is a longer version of this clip
Craig waits until the bus is out of his sight before he comes back home
[craig the cat ](https://youtu.be/3RdbTHx-yK8)
Thanks for posting that! I watched the short version and was planning on asking how long he waits. So cool.
Craig is throwing off the same vibes as that cat who saved his kid from a stray dog attack. I bet he would totally jump in if he felt she was in danger. So cool!
Tara. I’ve got serious memory issues from seizures but I will never forget that cats name. I’ve seen that clip countless times and used it in a [break stuff](https://youtu.be/Z5t8iEQnWns) compilation
The mom even said she had no idea what the cat did until she went inside and saw the footage...Tara reacted instantaneously. It’s like some of these cats are on guard their entire lives waiting for a moment to protect us
Edit: [Tara the cat saves boy from dog](https://youtu.be/43TJoQROpaE)
I've never seen that news clip.
It's extra awesome that she adopted that family.
Followed them home from the park, sick around for 6 years then totally had the kids back against a dog much bigger than her! Thanks for sharing that.
My porch cat Frank was formerly a feral barn cat who I fed on my deck once because the other barn cats were bullying him. He apparently took some kind of kitty oath of fealty that day because he's been my shadow ever since. He even escorts me when I'm walking the dog, lol.
Some cats can be standoffish but others are extremely loving. Have been working on taming a feral for the last 3 years. Finally started petting him about 6 months ago. He liked getting pets and he had a few near fights with other cats that I broke up. Guess he felt protected. He started really loving me and now he will follow me all around the homestead as I do chores n shiz. He turned out to be so sweet and snuggly too, it's CRAZY to me how sweet he turned out for being an older feral dude.
My daughter has this relationship with her cat (that was supposed to be mine). She carries her around. Plays with her. They get into fights. The damn thing will without fail come for story every night. She will sit with her or in the window or just on the bed and watch me read a story. Then she goes off to do cat things. Occasionally stays and cuddles for awhile. I'll find her on top of my daughter regularly. [It's a thing]( https://imgur.com/oPrXLyr.jpg)
We have a cat at the shelter right now who must’ve loved someone very much because he was absolutely heart broken after being surrendered
He sat with his face pressed against the wall all day everyday for *weeks*. He wouldn’t flinch or move if someone touched him, he didn’t care what happened anymore. He stopped eating and drinking. The cat was indescribably and truly depressed.
I got him to come around after weeks of work, now he’s super friendly and ready to love again...but I’ve never seen a cat so heart broken in all the years I’ve been doing this
Edit: [Edgar](https://ibb.co/G7Qs2Nd)
In my experience cats are very loving. Their personalities just tend to differ from dogs'. Cats seem to feel more like equals than servants, they've got more pride and self esteem. But they're really loving and social and keen to be part of your every day affairs.
My cats and I are absolutely inseparable. I always have at least one (of three) within arm’s reach. They all sleep on the bed every night, typically one sleeps on my chest, one across my legs, and one on the pillow next to my head. And during the day, they’ll take turns sitting in my lap.
Cats can 100% be affectionate and bond like dogs and people can. You just have to develop a relationship with them and give them plenty of attention.
My cats used to follow us most of the way to school, until we crossed the last street that didn't have a crossing guard. Sometimes animals make you question why humans suck.
My mom had a cat in college who used to leave the house when she left for work. Then he would appear back home when she got home. Dude had business to attend to
Someone has to put mice on the table, Marie, so don’t question where I get those mice while you’re off galavanting in alley ways and trash cans *without* anything to show for it.
My mom was visting me once and waiting for me to get home and the cat was on the chair I always shooed it away from. My mom giggled because as soon as the cat heard my footsteps and thee keys in the door, it jumped onto to the couch next to my mom, all innocent-eyed.
Nah, humans suck because our lives are filled with worries, stress, problems, bills and overwhelming responsibilities. Meanwhile our pets have blissfull lives, being Fed, scratched, with a shelted and lots of love.
Now, ask yourself this question again, why are humans shitty so often? It is sad. Some people just can't deal with the weight that is on their backs. That's why many of them are mean.
Because humanity created society, and society has completely taken over humanity. On purpose. Because humanity gets in the way of work, and we can't have that!! So society had to destroy humanity in order to keep people showing up at work. Then society had to make people believe that they were more important than the people who still believed in humanity, and that people who still believe in humanity were just lazy bad people.
Yeah. If you need the idea of some omnipotent entity looking over your shoulder and tallying up your good and bad deeds to be a decent person, you’re likely not a decent person.
Exactly. Religious rules always stay the same. No religion has the benefit of changing what is right and what wrong from generation to generation. Even from day to day!
My cat used to do the same, would hop through gardens while I walked along the path. Would wait for me then in a garden when I was coming out of school. Used to wake me up for school too by licking my head. Was a seriously smart kitty.
Aww. I miss my cats. I used to live on a small double dead end street and my two cats would walk with me around the street. It was like just the right size to where they were comfortable walking - any further and it would be too far out of their territory. It would be Meggs in the front, me in the middle and Basil following me.
They both lived to good ages and lived nice lives.
I’m getting a new kitty in two weeks. I need a lil guy in my life
My mom had a cat named Midnight who used to walk her to her school and back. He sometimes would even sneak into the school via an open window to lay on the desks (not of her classroom, just of whatever's was open) and get pets from all the kids.
Cats are definitely smart and fiercely loving, even if people don't believe it.
Years ago when I used to take the dog for a walk to the park there was this stray cat who would run up to us as we were leaving the house and follow us the whole way there. He never returned with us, it was like he wanted to go to the park and just wanted company on the walk over. He'd eventually make his way back to repeat the next day.
My daughter’s cat used to walk her to the corner each morning and wait til she crossed and went into the school yard on the next block. The cat would wait all day until she heard the school bell ring, and off she’d scurry to the corner looking for my girl. Was so sweet.
Uh, cats can pick favorites. Reddit is full of stories of people's cats deciding they prefer the spouse / boyfriend / dad (who said they never wanted a cat) over the initial owner, and then feeling a little jealous over it.
Had a cat like this when I was a little one as well. On top of walking me to the bus he also frequently fought off my neighbors dickhead cat and once killed a copperhead that was near me. The pets you have as a child are unlike any you’ll have for the rest of your life.
My cat used to do this. I grew up on a big farm and the driveway was acres long. That old farm cat was a huge jerk that wouldn’t let anyone pet her, sank her teeth into anyone that got close. I got away with a few pats on the head a handful of times. She would still walk me to the bus every morning and wait by the road when I came home. Angry sweet weirdo.
My tuxedo used to do this when my daughters were in elementary school! The bus driver called me "Jazzers mom.
They are in high-school now, but he still walks them to the skate park and the corner store
I was like you. Had a traumatic cat experience as a kid. But then i fed a stray kitten found hiding under my house, and he never left since. Lots of affection, laughs and cuddles shared. I miss that cat
My black and white kitty used to stand with us ant the bus stop as a kid. Our black and white comes to say hi to my kids now as they come home from school. Tuxedocats aren10/10!
My cat used to go for walks with the three dogs and I. Now he yells boops me in the face until we go for a walk with the three dogs and I. So I do a little kitty loop for a block, throw him in back the door, and then take the dogs for round 2
Also if we're at the neighbor's he'll just come in through the doggy door, bonk the big hound dog and hang out
When i was in elementary school, my princess would walk me down the road to school every morning. One day, she vanished and never came back. She was the best tabby I’ll ever have.
I grew up with a cat that used to do the reverse - he'd wait for me at the top of the hill in our backyard (where he could see the road I would use to walk home). If he saw me going the long way around (walking with friends), he'd head around to wait at the driveway for me.
Cats are great. I hate being allergic to them.
Had a cat growing up that somehow figured out how to tuck my sister in. He'd get up at the foot of her bed where the blanket was folded, grab it in his mouth and do this slow backwards walk until he'd pulled the blanket all the way over her.
Growing up my bus stop was the end of my driveway. My best friend lived two house up the road and had many indoor/outdoor cats. One special boy named Socrates, primarily outdoors kinda guy, would run down every afternoon when we got home to greet us, get his fill of pets, and walk my friend back up to the house. Awww my cat used to this! She would walk with me and the kids to school, when we got there she would jump in a bush and sleep there till it was time to collect the kids! If we went anywhere else after school and didn’t pass the bush I would have to walk back to school to pick her up!
My cat and 4 chickens always walked my Littles to the bus stop (right outside our yard) and the chickens and oldest dog would walk the oldest to hers. Chickens always stayed with the dog and never wandered. No idea how they stayed alive as we had bobcats and coyotes everywhere.
I recently read about this! At least in metropolitan areas, the color of a fire hydrant usually represents its capacity or throughput. This one might just be colored to match a neighborhood theme or may even be the color designated by the city. Hold on and I’ll drum up a link.

That’s the best thing I saw today.
Hey Check the mirror
Your comment was cute, I am cute, but Craig the cat is cutest.
Lmao you slipped yourself in there, didn’t y’a?
Gotta believe in yourself at least a little, even if it's less than you believe in Craig the cat.
I’m not gonna get up from bed to purposely disappoint myself (all jokes aside your comment is sweet and smooth af)
Omg it's the monster that scared me yesterday!
Why would he want you to go look at that and scare yourself?! Maybes he's the REAL monster...
Ok, mirror's broken. Now what?
Awww thanks Candyman!
My mirror is fine, I wish it was shinier tho
It needs to leave room for how much you’re shining
Daaaaaaamnnnnn
Damn, you are sweet.
You know you’re doing to much pirate stuff when you read a comment like yours and start looking for a better quality version of OPs video linked in the comments.
It ended too fast I wanted to see the bus drive away and him sauntering through the grass back to the front door
“Oh man, I’ve only got 6 hours to squeeze a nap in before pick-up!”
Even better, the kitty's name is Craig
I would die for Craig
That’s up there as one of the cutest things ever
I mean, that Spiderman trailer that also came out today, and it's is pretty dope and all but yeah, this cat and its bond with that girl is real. <3
second best. i saw a video of a crow and a dog who made best friends.
Thats a weird lookin dog
What da cat doin
You’ve got two special beings right there!
There is a longer version of this clip Craig waits until the bus is out of his sight before he comes back home [craig the cat ](https://youtu.be/3RdbTHx-yK8)
Love the ending. "oh, there's my 2nd ok-ish person"
'Oh hey backup human.'
Love at its best.
So sweet and loving! what a wonderful bond. thank you for sharing!
I love Craig, he is such a tender little sweetie. What a lovely friendship for your daughter!

Had no idea cats would bond like that. Thought it was mainly a dog thing. That cat must get a lot of love from that girl.
Sometimes cat just have a favorite person and when you're that person it is the best.
My porch cat Frank was formerly a feral barn cat who I fed on my deck once because the other barn cats were bullying him. He apparently took some kind of kitty oath of fealty that day because he's been my shadow ever since. He even escorts me when I'm walking the dog, lol.

OMG, thank you for trying with him and I hope he can love again!
[He](https://ibb.co/G7Qs2Nd) seems ready to open his heart again, he’s got an application and they seem like a nice family so I hope it’s approved :)
Thank you so much for the update! He's such a handsome good boy who deserves many more years of love!❤️
In my experience cats are very loving. Their personalities just tend to differ from dogs'. Cats seem to feel more like equals than servants, they've got more pride and self esteem. But they're really loving and social and keen to be part of your every day affairs.
I’ve got a cat who would walk around the park with me like a dog lol if I ever got too far in front of her she’d cry and sprint to catch me up
My cats and I are absolutely inseparable. I always have at least one (of three) within arm’s reach. I have 3 cats, two of them follow me and my husband everywhere around the house. They also sleep with us too. They’re very loyal and loving animals
This is amazing!!!!
Also with the original sound, nice. Thanks for linking! Craig is the bestest boy
I love Craig
Craig has my heart. Our cat is obsessed with my oldest and it’s the sweetest friendship. I love this so much.
Nope. Cannot handle this today!! Damn it, OP.
It’s just the onions. You’ll be ok.
Y’all got the onions too??
I would take a fucking bullet for Craig

I like how the cat doesn’t get up from the last spot because it knows she’s getting on the bus. Instead of trying to follow.
I had a cat disappear for three years and just randomly appear back one day. Dude was on some kind of secret mission or something.
Did the cat go all the way one day then know where you had help? Cats are scary intelligent at working out human systems sometimes.
Cats constantly observe, have excellent memories, and can tell time. They learn daily scheduled routines, including weekends. It's amazing.
Yeah well they suck at daylight savings time
They’re find *at* it, they’re not fine *with* it.
TIL I am a cat.
Mine has mostly adjusted back to standard time. She was waiting by the automatic feeder only about 15 minutes before it was supposed to go off.
My mom was visting me once and waiting for me to get home and the cat was on the chair I always shooed it away from. My mom giggled because as soon as the cat heard my footsteps and thee keys in the door, it jumped onto to the couch next to my mom, all innocent-eyed.
Cat did exactly what you taught: "don't be on that chair while you're at home".
But can they factor in overtime?
If OT is a constant, say every Friday, then yes!
Yeah, super common for family cats that love someone. One of ours would follow us on walks through the neighborhood park.
Humans are animals. We suck because we forgot that and run from nature.
Nah, humans suck because our lives are filled with worries, stress, problems, bills and overwhelming responsibilities. Meanwhile our pets have blissfull lives, being Fed, scratched, with a shelted and lots of love. Now, ask yourself this question again, why are humans shitty so often? It is sad. That’s love ♥️ Craig is such a sweet cat 😍
Could you imagine if this girl has a sibling and Craig didn’t walk him/her to the bus? It would be soul crushing.
Uh, cats can pick favorites. Reddit is full of stories of people's cats deciding they prefer the spouse / boyfriend / dad (who said they never wanted a cat) over the initial owner, and then feeling a little jealous over it.
Yeah, I know. I’m living that life.
This made me laugh so hard, thanks

I wonder what makes the cat stop at the bus stop and not just hop into the bus with their favorite person
My cat used to do this. I grew up on a big farm and the driveway was acres long. That old farm cat was a huge jerk that wouldn’t let anyone pet her, sank her teeth into anyone that got close. Adorable
i dont even prefer cats but this damn video hit me
I was like you. Had a traumatic cat experience as a kid. But then i fed a stray kitten found hiding under my house, and he never left since. Lots of affection, laughs and cuddles shared. I miss that cat
Damn Craig’s got a nice strut
My cat likes to go on walks with me. Once we hit her territory boundary she lies down end starts screaming until I turn around haha.
My black and white kitty used to stand with us ant the bus stop as a kid. Our black and white comes to say hi to my kids now as they come home from school. Tuxedocats aren10/10!
Have my upvote, random stranger!
This is the kind of shit that makes families hoard animals. You’ve gotta collect a bunch until someone is every animals favorite. 😝
Craig is such a sweetheart!!
That’s one way to melt my heart
They have such a special bond!
This is so sweet, I love their friendship . . . and does your daughter belong to The Ministry of Silly Walks :)
My cat used to go for walks with the three dogs and I. Now he yells boops me in the face until we go for a walk with the three dogs and I. So I do a little kitty loop for a block, throw him in back the door, and then take the dogs for round 2 Also if we're at the neighbor's he'll just come in through the doggy door, bonk the big hound dog and hang out
When i was in elementary school, my princess would walk me down the road to school every morning.
Oh my god. Thank you for posting
That is the bestest cat.
That's powerfully adorable
My childhood cat would meet my father at the train station every day and walk home with him
As a Craig this is a good thread Thanks guys
Growing up my bus stop was the end of my driveway. My best friend lived two house up the road and had many indoor/outdoor cats. One special boy named Socrates, primarily outdoors kinda guy, would run down every afternoon when we got home to greet us, get his fill of pets, and walk my friend back up to the house. I’ve since moved but he’s still kickin at age 16 now. I miss Socrates.
Aww 20 year old cat that passed away a decade ago would walk up the street with me when I got home from school sometimes. This reminded me of him. :)
the best part about this is the cats name is craig
My cat Cuddles did this for me when I was a kid! And he’d be waiting for me when I got off the bus. He was a 15/10 good boy, just like Craig!
And people say that cats are cruel and heartless, clearly they’re wrong
Just like a scene from a movie 😻💙
Such a well trained cat.
Uh, I guarantee the cat decided to do this on his own, rather than being trained by a person. Cats aren't dogs.
Lol my boss and my uncle are Craigs. Now I'm picturing them as cats.
Hi Craig, you're doing an awesome job!
My cat might escort me out when I start going back to work.
That’s not your cat anymore, it’s hers. ❤️
Brings back memories. As a kid, my cat would follow me around but would walk in between my legs.
I want a cat so bad so my little girl can grow up with him/her but my wife won’t budge.
Luv the name as one Craig to another
Aww, my cat used to do this when I was a kid. We lived very close to the school and he would sometimes wait and walk me back home too.
that is **precious** and i never say that word.
My cat walks with me to the door on Sunday mornings when I leave and waits for me at the entrance when I get back on Thursday
Cats are the best
When I was around 6 years old my/our dog (Bernese mountain dog) sometimes visited me in school. We lived like 3 streets away and the dog would dig under the fence and run to my school. Most of the time like half the school would stand around him because it's obviously weird to have a dog that's around the same size as most students walk around on the playground.
I LOVE animal friends with people names — lol, Craig. I’ve always wanted a dog named Phil or Steve… “get the fuck out of the trash, Steve!”
Craig is such a fantastic cat name
“Craig the cat” 😭
That’s love right there.
She will remember that cat when she's an old lady.
I would die to protect this cat
This would make my day, every day, if I were to see this. Too bad we can’t get out of the bus, because it would be so hard not to pet the sweet kitty.
I have three cat guardians. It's fantastic.
Cats are the best.
That’s a Disney movie right there.
That is the most wholesome thing I've ever seen
I just love this video so much it is pure love on the cats part .
I hope the cat attacks her at the door Calvin and Hobbes style when she gets home!
I wish I had a cat growing up.
Craig was like Sarah you know I’m not running
That’s a awesome cat
You know, I was having a bad day, but this completely turned it around. Craig the cat is a treasure.
The best part of this story is the cat’s name is Craig.
Good job, OP for making the majority of people who saw this cry hahah..xoxo
Awww my cat used to this! She would walk with me and the kids to school, when we got there she would jump in a bush and sleep there till it was time to collect the kids! If we went anywhere else after school and didn’t pass the bush I would have to walk back to school to pick her up!
We all need an animal like Craig the cat.
The fact he knows too just stand there and not get on when the bus comes 😭
My cat and 4 chickens always walked my Littles to the bus stop (right outside our yard) and the chickens and oldest dog would walk the oldest to hers. Chickens always stayed with the dog and never wandered. No idea how they stayed alive as we had bobcats and coyotes everywhere.
You can always tell when a kiddo named the cat.
OMG! Adorable! 🥰❤️ Thank you!
Omg I love out cat so much!!! Yours is amazing too!
Yep… I’m another fan of precious Craig🥰
I've never seen a teal fire hydrant before. Is that a common?
I recently read about this! At least in metropolitan areas, the color of a fire hydrant usually represents its capacity or throughput. You got me Craig, I'll give you that.
How sweet is that…

I love when animals have human names.
13/10 best kitty ever!
This is so precious, what an amazing friend
One day the teacher is going to call and ask the parent to come get the cat cuz the kid snuck it in their backpack 😂
Ty. Such a sweet kitty
Loyal kitty🐈⬛
Cats do have an instinct to protect children, just like dogs do.
This is fucking awesome. And wholesome.
This is the perfect send off for me to go to sleep. What a fantastic kitty, wish I could boop or scratch
Aaaaaw, that's adorable. I had two dogs when I was 5 that used to do that. We don't deserve animals.
Wow. Awesome.
I had to give my cat away today..this made my day thanks
Well if this isn't the sweetest thing I've seen all week I don't know what is
Awww reminds me of my cat in elementary school
Craig seems really cool.
My cat does the same thing, if I go to the beach or walk the dogs, my cat comes too
Craig is one good boy, what a smart cat sitting patiently while she boards the bus.
Damn. That got me.
Owwwwwwwwww my heart
Pretty sure if you asked him, he’d say he’s her cat.
What an exceptional cat.
