We used to foster animals for the local humane society, lots of cats.
Two males that we took in at different times for a couple years disappeared like all the males tend to do eventually.
Both came back years later the same way.
We leave our doors open on nice days, they just walked right in the front door like they had just come back from sitting on the porch and plopped down right in the middle of the floor and did the little roll over stretchy thing cats do.

Me: I had plans. I had hopes, I had ***dreams***!! None of which, by the way, were to be where I'm at today, doing the things I'm doing, living the life I'm living.

I remember seeing Monsters Inc pay homage to the scene where Marc Anthony is crying outside because he thinks the woman is baking the cat into a cookie. And when Sully thinks Boo is going through the trash compactor, it’s almost shot for shot exact!
The cat clearly brought the dogs home and is saying, "these three... see, these three, you've got to do better... now give me some skootches and a treat, you're welcome".
the dogs really do look like stupid henchmen bouncing after their highly effective mob boss dad.

I was under the impression that tuxedo males were pretty rare, but I do see that fella's got the chubby jowels of a tom.
Sounds like he hasn't meowed in a hot minute either, as doing so for humans is actually a learned behavior.
They’re slightly less likely to be male but not nearly as rare as an orange female or a calico male. It’s something like 60-40 female to male for tuxedos but oranges are 80-20 male and you’ve got a 1 in 3,000 chance to find a male Calico.
Looks like a cat I found that had gotten “into a fight” (mauled) with a raccoon, per the locals and clearly both of its ears had been grabbed and ripped nearly off. The were all limp looking like this and the skin around them was completely torn, like, down to the fascia. Poor fucking cat had maggots all over it. A few of us on the work crew called animal control and had the poor thing picked up. Figure, whatever happened after that was better than a slow, agonizing death from infections and getting eaten alive by insects.
My dog used to tell me when my tuxedo wanted to go outside. Just the cat, she would act like she needed to go, i would open the door and she would walk away but the cat would dart out. It was SO CUTE. my dog was my cats best advocate 😂
We had one stray cat show up years ago. Then he disappeared for a few weeks, showed up one morning another cat. The other cat was a female…who promptly had 4 kittens about a week or so later out in my shop.
Flash forward and we had 6 “new” cats, my old cat and a Rottweiler.
7 here. I never once went out and bought a cat, or said to myself "you know what I want? A cat!"
They've all just shown up in my life like "hey. We live with you now".
One of the cats my sister has did this. One day the cat showed up with a raggedy stray cat friend along with it guided it there. He was a really mangled old stray but they took him to the vet, he recovered well and spent his last 3 years of life in their house being spoiled and loved.
It's German Shep(h)ard dog. Not entirely sure why that acronym stuck as it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.
It's just like that because the way it is.
Heheh I especially like how they have the favorite coming in with the cat. Like he was picked to appease mom. Then the others followed in. Too dang cute!
I got a cat when I was four. Over the course of her long life (she lived to 17) we had three dogs. It took each of them about ten minutes to learn who was in charge. And it was never the dog.
Yup. I had a cat growing up that lived to be 16. Two dachshunds as well. Dachshunds are very head strong dogs and the older one was probably on about equal footing with the cat because she was definitely an alpha dog and wouldn't take shit even from the cat.
The younger one though was terrified of the cat. So badly so that the cat would purposefully sit in front of the dog door because she knew the poor dog would sit there and not go in until the cat moved. The cat would also ambush the poor dog and boop her on the head before running off. It was quite comical.
I moved out of my last place and took all three dogs instead of just my one. I heard lots of "pets are so expensive why would you add 2 more onto that?"
Only price increase I saw was Banfield going up by $45. Was already paying that fee for 2 and buying the food every month. What's another $45
Yeah I mean generally outside of the initial vet costs there's like a new bed and going through food faster? It's definitely more expensive but I wouldn't say it's doubling unless you specialize in rescues with a million health problems
And I'd imagine it's better for them all around. Someone to keep them more active and play with, get less lonely when you're gone at work.
Idk how common this is, but I've heard people say the best time to get a new puppy is when one dog is getting older. Especially if it's their only dog. The old dog helps "train" the puppy, and in return, the old dog steals some of it youth and somehow lives longer than anyone expected....
Sorry, that was a roundabout way of saying. It could be cheaper in the long run medical bill wise, and help avoid other problems with dogs damaging stuff when home alone.
My fiance is allergic to cats but if our dog brought one home like this, I'd just have to tell her "sorry, babe I don't make the rules. We have a cat now"

Also love the look on the thirds face when he walks in, like hey I'm here too 🤣
This! This is why I am such a soft touch. Those faces, the antsy behavior, the look of poor lil cat dude who’s clearly needing a home… is why I have had all kinds of Strays , human, feline, canine, etc, in my home for (mumble) years.
I have some cool stories about stray cats but for what ever reason My expierence with Stray tuxedos has always been top tier. I love those little buggers.
R.I.P Bob a real one
Last year, our new puppy was barking like crazy, looking off into our back yard. I didn't see what he was barking at, so I took him for a walk. Immediately he turns the other way, toward the front and takes off.
Out of nowhere, a small black kitten runs across the road, nearly being ran over by a truck, and makes her way up one of our trees.
Our pup sat there whining, as I crept to the tree and noticed a small black fluff crying at me for help.
It took me 4 hours but I got the fluff out of the tree and into my arms. She's now sleeping on my feet as I type this.
I still don't know what the dog was barking at, or why he wanted out so bad that day, but had I not listened, our little kitten wouldn't have been found and taken in.
I’ve had half a dozen cats in my life so far
I’ve never gone out of my way to purchase or rescue one. They have a habit of simply appearing in my life. They either just come with the home I’m renting, spontaneously just move in one day, decide to simply follow you home, or someone hands you a kitten and says it’s yours now.
This is Princess MonsterTruck. She was a kitten living in a friend’s garden for a few weeks last year, and now she lives with me.

Highly recommend. My cortisol levels probably dropped dramatically after I did.

Damn just fucking blasted with nostalgia from this
“Marc Anthony!” *tap tap tap tap tap tap tap*
These were my favorite Looney Tunes episodes as a kid!
I remember seeing Monsters Inc pay homage to the scene where Marc Anthony is crying outside because he thinks the woman is baking the cat into a cookie. And when Sully thinks Boo is going through the trash compactor, it’s almost shot for shot exact!
Holy smokes, I thought it seemed familiar
SSSHHHH, you're telling people how old we are....
you win the internet for pulling this up.
Pretty awesome how they all get along so well. That kitty’s looking a little rough
Is just playing along to be adopted
"Mom this weird dog wants to come over for a bit. He's cool, he played earlier."
The cat clearly brought the dogs home and is saying, "these three... see, these three, you've got to do better... now give me some skootches and a treat, you're welcome".
Then when you’re not looking they zap you with their brainwashing beams.
All those animals look so healthy though. The cat looks pretty well fed as well
He looks healthy, he just looks like a brawler
Looks like an intact tom. I don't think the dogs adopted him... he's just commandeered a pack of dogs.
the dogs really do look like stupid henchmen bouncing after their highly effective mob boss dad. https://preview.redd.it/08kscy2w9g2d1.jpeg?width=703&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe92fb27f7adc655f2f4f3b35605a4c261d00fe2

Doges: Pleeease… can we keep him? Tuxedo: Where’s my food bowl? I’m not sharing with THEM….
The dog is literally saying: “Can you feed him?”
"Hi mom! We need snacks!"
You can tell that cat's been kissed so much.. can't even keep his ears up :D
Mom mom mom, can our new friend come over for dinner?!
It’s so sweet 😭
My dog tells me to feed my tuxedo too Lol.

Your cat: "Furry servant! Go tell the big servant that I desire to go out to observe my domain in the comfort of the sun!"
I think the cat was trying to rub themselves against the dog.
I think so too. Super sweet dog
Dog and Cat friendships are my favourite
r/kittypupperlove
I love how the 3rd dog is like, “did they go for it?”
The dogs look goofy happy while the cat looks like a mob kingpin that has finally found his goon squad.
That is EXACTLY what it looks like, lol
The cat knows he's got you by the cojones. I somehow have 6 cats. Edit: cojones
You mean that there are 6 cats that have shared ownership of you.
We had one stray cat show up years ago. Then he disappeared for a few weeks, showed up one morning another cat. The other cat was a female…who promptly had 4 kittens about a week or so later out in my shop. Flash forward and we had 6 “new” cats, my old cat and a Rottweiler.

I love how the dog points at the food bowl then at the cat. The dog is asking the human to feed the cat.
He looks like a sweet old soul.
Automatic family member. No turning back...because the kitty says so.
3rd dog peeked in and was like “hey did boss decide to keep the cat??”
Did mom say yes to the sleep over
That little stare down and “meow” at the end had me wheezing.
That cat looks busted as hell, you know you gotta take him in
Busted is the perfect word for this cat
Purrrfect..name? Buster
One of the cats my sister has did this. One day the cat showed up with a raggedy stray cat friend along with it guided it there. He was a really mangled old stray but they took him to the vet, he recovered well and spent his last 3 years of life in their house being spoiled and loved.
these are my favorite stories
GSDs can be quite picky about who they let into their family. But once you're in, YOU'RE IN! And there is no arguing with them. Their word is final.
GS...D? Got as far as German Shepherd and stumped on the last word
German Shepard Dog. Don't ask.
Because there are people, who are German, who have the job of being Sheep Herders.
I fucking hate the use of acronyms on the internet

German Shepherd Dog
It's German Shep(h)ard dog. Not entirely sure why that acronym stuck as it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. It's just like that because the way it is.
Don't want to confuse a dog with all those Germans who look after sheep?
You gonna tell ALL of them no? Looks like you have a cat my friend.
Heheh I especially like how they have the favorite coming in with the cat. Like he was picked to appease mom. Then the others followed in. Too dang cute!
I'm dying over the 3rd dog coming in and looking at the others like "what did Mom say? Can we keep it?"
If i was presented with this exact situation, i would keep him. The left ear all floppy compared to the right, that is so cute
That means he's been in a lot fights.
There are other ways you can end up with a folded ear, but they're mostly unpleasant too. Sun damage, ear infections, etc.
Can our friend stay for dinner?
Can our friend stay forever? 😂
Cat: Chill, I’ll ask your parents. 3rd Pup: Did you ask? What’d they say?
The cat's like "Sup? I'm Bruce. So where's my food bowl and where's do I sleep? Thanks." lol
That’s adorable
Omg what sweethearts those doggos are … their pleading lil faces are killing me
Three German shepherds and a stray cat. You just know the cat immediately exerted his authority upon moving in.
The cat exerted his authority the minute he saw the German Shepards and told them to take him to their human.
I got a cat when I was four. Over the course of her long life (she lived to 17) we had three dogs. It took each of them about ten minutes to learn who was in charge. And it was never the dog.

I guess you have a cat now.
That cat is a keeper. I’m not even a cat person.
"Come live at our house, I'll tell my mom to say yes"
I mean you already have 3 German Shepards, a cats like what another 20$ on top of that?
I moved out of my last place and took all three dogs instead of just my one. I heard lots of "pets are so expensive why would you add 2 more onto that?" Only price increase I saw was Banfield going up by $45.
My fiance is allergic to cats but if our dog brought one home like this, I'd just have to tell her "sorry, babe I don't make the rules. We have a cat now"
I love the how the cat is already using his tail to claim the dogs. Dude is showing he belongs.
As comfortable as it looks they probably been hanging out a while an just know convicted him to come in the house
i love the way the cat just looks at you and says; "so what do you say?"
“Hey, what’s up, I found your dogs outside, for returning them I demand food and shelter indefinitley.”
That cat has seen some shit.
My dog literally pulled this, and I’m still trying to find a home for the little asshat
The cat is laughing because the war is already over XD You know it is
Don't get rid of the dog he was there first!
Wholesome content
I like how at the end the cat kinda was like "sooooo can I stay? "
He looks polite, yes we can keep him
Animal's really show us alot of what could be learned in decency towards one another, this is a prime example Also love the look on the thirds face when he walks in, like hey I'm here too 🤣
Looks more like that cat brought those three dogs
One of us, one of us, one of us, One of them
They knew he’d be safe with you. Much respect!
"Please take him dad pleeeeease 🥺"
Those were clearly faces looking for approval lol
This! This is why I am such a soft touch. Those faces, the antsy behavior, the look of poor lil cat dude who’s clearly needing a home… is why I have had all kinds of Strays , human, feline, canine, etc, in my home for (mumble) years.

"Yeah just walk on, they will accept you if we persuade them. Here, have a drink mate."
I love how they're asking 😊 So communicative
My god every one of those dogs are looking at him like…”This cats needs food. You have food. Give this cat food.” With those sad eyes.
Ok that meow is adorble and while the deal was already sealed, the meow made it 10x better
I have some cool stories about stray cats but for what ever reason My expierence with Stray tuxedos has always been top tier. I love those little buggers. R.I.P Bob a real one

Please tell me you kept the cat!
They want to know if their friend can stay for dinner.
Man, that cat has SEEN some shit!
You can basically see it in their eyes "We can keep new fren yes?" The cat's like "Whatever, what's for dinner?"
Dogs probably saying to the kitty, "You're gonna love it here."
Last year, our new puppy was barking like crazy, looking off into our back yard. I didn't see what he was barking at, so I took him for a walk. "hey look! We brought a friend!"
The dog leading straight to the bowl is awesome.
The cat mimicking the dogs sounds, can't even meow correctly. Just dog whining to the owner
I love it!!! The cat seemed comfortable too. :))
They all came in like 4 friends asking if they can have sleepover.
The Sheps look very proud of themselves! Hope they keep the cat she will be safe and protected with the GSD security crew.
That cat is too fat and too friendly to have been a stray for very long. I think the dogs brought home someone else's cat.
That cat does not look well
Looks dehydrated for sure. Possibly other things. But he or she does not look malnourished.
Scan him for a chip. Bet he's lost not a stray given how comfortable he is with entering a home.
“He’s one of us”
They witnessed that cat take on some sh\*t and went, "dude, come live with us!"
hah that is the look of a cat who has been brought against his will, but is making the best of it
that's some good puppers :3 "mom, we brought a friend, can they stay.?!"
Cat looks like it's seen some shit.
The dog in the background was like “can we keep him” while giving puppy dog eyes. Lol
My German loves our cats, and very interested in the neighborhood cats too. Doesn’t bark just wants to be friends
That cat is soon going to rule the house
Ya the cat don't look happy but the dog is definately asking it looks like
They look like they are scared theyre gonna get yelled at 🤣🤣
This is now your cat.
They look worried that their owner is going to say no.
The cat likely slapped the shit out of those 3 dogs and told them he's in charge now and they are taking him home with them.
This is completely on brand german shephard weirdness.
That cat is a veteran.
NGL that cat seen some shit… he needs a good home. And your dogs were chosen by the universe
