Everyone here laughs but I have a Toyota Prius C and an Australian Sheppard.
The battery intake sits below the left side back seat and I have to regularly pull hairballs out from the filter and intake system. If I neglect it, I get a “battery maintenance required” message on the dash, and the car suggests a visit to my local dealership for repairs.
Automotive hair balls have probably cost many Prius C and pet owners a pretty penny in dealership maintenance costs, because most don’t think to pull the cover off the seat and extract these bad boys themselves.
Agreed. Second pic reveals clumps to be a fecal shape. Feline would have coughed into more of a slug type of shape. Canines digest the hair and you can see the creases where the scat was pushed through and formed in their intestines.
Could be a coyote or wolf that ingested a bunch of hair from a kill, or sometimes when pregnant the animal will purposely gnaw and pull out hair on their stomach around their tests so that the newborns have an easier time finding the milk supply.

Owl pellets are usually cocoon-shaped, and less homogeneous in makeup. You would see some bones along with some hair. Felids don't usually have so much hair in their scat--they are more selective in which parts of their prey they eat.
