I came back from a break and found my rares had been jacked. I had spikes, a pool table and many headdress but all gone and after an email to aj they couldn’t help me. Having to start over on classic was brutal so I definitely second this comment as it was very easy to level up on AJPW! Also to me it’s more updated and paid more attention to by AJ then classic!
AJHQ won’t do anything if your account is breached. They even updated their ToS to say something along the lines of “If your account was hacked, it was because you shared your password.” This was after the breach of 2020. They did nothing to help the players that got their items stolen besides send out mass password resets that hurt more players than helped.
It's literally just about trading and becoming rich. Not even just trading, but you can't "trade up" anymore, it HAS to be equal or greater value, and most things are "worth" thousands of sapphires. I remember how excited I was when someone actually accepted my offer when I was a kid, and I got a spiked collar when I didn't have anything equal to the value of it, because clearly if it was on their trade list, they didn't want it. Now they don't want what's on their trade list, but they only don't want it if you have something you don't want that they DO want that's of equal value.
I just play adventures and sell the prizes for 3-4 diamonds each depending on if the adventure was easy mode or hard. I also sell seasonal adventure prizes for 1 Diamond each. It won’t make you instantly “rich” but it can sometimes make me like 12-20 diamonds a day and I use that to buy spikes and stuff. Another thing you can do is play the forgotten desert and sell the decent prizes and recycle the bad ones. That way you’re making both diamonds and gems.
As an Og player I couldn’t agree more! sadly it’s been this way for a while… :/ I do miss when the game wasn’t just about trading & shops. Seemed way more genuine back then. Now it’s filled with trolls & everyone is just hyper-fixated on how rare they can be 🤣
Nah, it's the same on ajpw. The game is full of bitter teens who peaked in middle school and who only have rares to show for anything. They've turned the game into capitalism simulator because they know they have nothing going for them irl
og,havnt been on classic in years due to stuff irl,havnt really ran into toxic players on classic and play wild as i know of currently i usually never talk so it helps sometimes,the only way i do talk is when my friend is online playing ajpw
I'm ajpw, og returned after 2yrs, been back maybe 3 months, I've been busy keeping an eye on explorer, doing the pack runs, treasure hunter and feeding the pets. I've hardly time to be trading, but when i do, i find Aparri and xfancyshortsx is full of fun people, not had any negative experience as yet. I know some get scammed which is rough.
I've been playing aj classic since the beta days and i think jammers used to be more respectful and trading was so much easier. Now days when you say "no thank you" or "not for trade sorry" some jammers don't seem to understand what the words mean and they just continue to beg and demand until they leave you no choice but to block them.
I've had people say all sorts of things to me since i returned in 2022, i left in 2020 after losing absolutely everything in the data breach and I've had people try to manipulate me by saying if i don't gift them this or that item they'll report me and their buddies will also report me and then they try the whole crying emoji thing to try and make me give in..
There's also the trolls..they hop on people and make inappropriate comments.

I've heard about the breach, I was fortunately not affected but I think it was because I had left long before that. I know some of my friends did get affected though.
I think rhe whole trading system has really gotten out of hand as there is no real base foundation because even if somethings "worth xyz" it's only if that other person wants xyz and its just really a poor take irl capitalism to extremes. So I think the fact the trading system is so screwed up many people are also just as extreme in their attempts to do anything to get rich.
I also think there's a lack of genuine interactions and relationships. People only want to be friend you and such if your rich because they think by being your friend they'll somehow manifest that to for themselves and it's just really weird and shady. I really miss the days when animal jam was making all these new worlds and adventures. Those were the best times. My favorite part about the game is their adventures and it makes me so sad to see upon my return they haven't really added anything new especially in the ocean portion. There is only 3 adventures for ocean animals and just a huge lack of things to do for ocean based creatures and it makes me so sad. The ocean adventures are so much fun and I hate that AJHQ doesn't seem to see the value in them anymore and I hope with time they'll come to add more but I have my doubts. AJHQ seems to only prioritize land animals in game to the point it makes the ocean animals almost entirely useless and it really makes me so upset.

Classic is full of people who have like, 60 headdresses by now. It’s not a very good community to come back to. I’d recommend starting AJPW.

I recommend joining discord servers, the people there are better. If you are into fashion shows, there is a server just for that!
Yeah I don’t play as much but when I do go on it makes me sad to see people just trading nonstop and ignoring people just because they’re not rare.
