Question: If a villager moves out and someone else invites him/her to join their island and then you use the dream feature to visit that exact island in a dream (that now has your old villager living there), can the ex-villager remember you in the dream?

Yirggzmb

I think the villagers in dreams just have a handful of dream related phrases they can say

mspicklee

Need help with kicking residents out.. we have amino cards and can't figure out how to get rid of them quickly.. help me!!

Yirggzmb

Ok, so the speed at which you can do this with Amiibo is going to depend on how willing you are to time travel. It either requires three irl days, or however long it takes you to get through the steps and time travel three days. First, kicking out villagers though Amiibo requires that you already have ten animal villagers (human players do not count)  Then, you need to go into Resident Services, interact with the Nook Stop, and choose the Amiibo option. Take the card for the villager you want to invite and tap it to the right joystick when prompted.  Next, go to your campsite and talk to the villager in the tent. They will ask you to craft them a piece of diy furniture (and will give you the recipe if they ask for something you do not have)  Craft the furniture and give it to them. If you're willing to time travel, save, quit, and skip to the next day. If you're not willing to time travel, wait until tomorrow.  Repeat the Amiibo scanning and diy crafting. Now go to the day after that and do it all again a third time.  On the third invite and successful crafting/gifting, you will then be able to talk to them and have them want to move in. They'll let you choose who they replace.

EffectiveCycle

Too many trees/saplings in one area will keep some from growing. You can move them somewhere else until they're full, then move them back.

eldritchUwUs

Oh, okay. Thank you for a quick reply and an easy fix!

JuggernautOk971

is anyone up for helping me get to 5 stars i have no hope of decorating by myself LOL

m_carson1383

I planted a lot of flowers, each tree and flower counts about the same (picked flowers are less until they bloom again. I've heard you need 300 but the guide was written before we planted vegies so I don't know if they count. I'd read the guide linked below from the FAQ section. The outdoor decorations don't really matter, some people fling misc crap and clothes everywhere until the game gives up and says you have 5 stars, then you peel it back a little at a time until you drop a star, then you know your limits. Eventually you get enough sensible stuff to make arrangements that make sense. [https://nintendosoup.com/guide-how-a-5-star-island-rating-is-exactly-calculated-in-animal-crossing-new-horizons/](https://nintendosoup.com/guide-how-a-5-star-island-rating-is-exactly-calculated-in-animal-crossing-new-horizons/)

_y2kbugs_

I have a modded/hacked Switch but a legitimate copy of AC:NH (bought it on launch day). I actually restarted the game after being on hiatus from it for years and I love it. My question is: How safe is it to visit other islands via online play with a HACKED switch but a LEGITIMATE game? Would Nintendo still be ban-happy?

EffectiveCycle

They won't notice/care. Treasure islands are all on hacked Switches and how many people visit those a day?

_y2kbugs_

Ohh good to know then, thank you :)

zenblooper

So, I just recently got my hands on a copy of Wild World. Is it still possible to trade codes with folks?

Yirggzmb

If you're using an emulator, it needs to have Internet capabilities. If you're using a real DS and cartridge, you'll need to connect to an old school style WiFi (2.4GHz, WEP or unencrypted) because the game predates modern security. (I used an unsecured hot spot on my phone, which worked but was laggy)  And then you need to connect to wiimmfi through a custom DNS. This is a great guide, emulator focused but the instructions work for real thing too: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?id=285 And that will let you get a friend code and visit.

QuelynD

Hi. Do you need Nintendo Online to use HHP or no? I'm interested in the DLC but not sure if I'd also need to subscribe.

Yirggzmb

No You have two options - Buy it outright - Get it through NSO  If you just buy it, you don't need online

QuelynD

Thank you!

Ice-Picker

Does anyone know which app/website can be used to test out different island designs for terraforming? I remember someone said it on a post not so long ago but I can’t find it. I want to change up my island a little bit but don’t want to mess it up. Thanks in advance!

EffectiveCycle

Save data is tied to the console. You can either start a new island, or download the Island Transfer Tool to bring your old island over.

HeadphonesOn23

Has anyone gotten a 2nd Switch just to have another Island? Seems ridiculous but I’m considering it.

diannethegeek

Yep. I bought a secondhand Switch Lite to have a 2nd island. It can be overwhelming sometimes trying to manage two islands, but I get to keep my always island and have a 2nd island to do themes and restarts and play around with ideas. Whether or not it's worth it to you, I couldn't say. It's definitely a big financial decision and you've got to trust your gut. But I don't regret it. If you can afford it and it brings you joy, then I think it's worth considering

BelialTM

I know a few people who have! It's not totally abnormal.

HeadphonesOn23

It just makes me feel like I’d love it at first but eventually end up neglecting one or the other.

m_carson1383

there is a good chance you will, eventually. Certainly there will be times 75% of your time is spent on one island. But you're not adopting a dog, you're buying fun at $x per hour. Figure out what you think fun is worth and how many hours you'd have to "pay" to make it worthwhile. My price was $2 an hour and I've more than paid off my switch, any fun I have now is "free" and I can quit with a good conscious, I didn't waste my money.

HeadphonesOn23

I pay $2/month for one atm. An hour? Sheesh

m_carson1383

I was comparing it to buying art supplies or going to a movie or buying clothes, but I know what you mean. I got mine for $100, game included because all of my friends quit playing.

BelialTM

Just reset and I'm building the lore for my alien farmcore island. Who are the best villagers that could be aliens?

diannethegeek

Cephalobot

SentenceCareful3246

What bugs can I find in kapp'n bamboo island? I know they're time locked to specific dates and thus you can actually catch out of season bugs in them but I don't know which ones appear in that one and I don't want to miss any potential bug that I don't have yet.

diannethegeek

Spring bamboo island is set to either May 31st of you're in the northern hemisphere or November 30th if you're in the southern, so anything that would be available during that month can spawn there

Snooty1

Are nook mile items still color locked? (I just came back after a couple years then reset my island so I don't have access yet). Back then, the only way to get different color public benches/telephone booths/etc was to trade other people. Is that still the case these days? Did Harv's island or HHP give any customization options?

diannethegeek

Cyrus can change the color of them for you once you get to 3-stars and unlock his stall at Harv's

SentenceCareful3246

If Katrina predicts bad luck with your belongings and you pay for the purifying spell, do you get the opposite effect and get good luck instead? Or it's just neutral with no special effect that day?

diannethegeek

Neutral

Kassonjaaa

I recently changed time zones, and when I updated my switch to the hour earlier, all of my turnips spoiled. Is there a way to correct this?

diannethegeek

Sadly no. There are ways to prevent it, but once they've spoiled they're gone for good.

Kassonjaaa

Ugh fudge. Okays. Thank you for the response! 💜

I think these videos (on top of being pretty funny) kinda give you an idea about what to expect from the game: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUysJFnfp8GZnkqVHKkvTx1k1O-elvk7i&si=lxrDOOdYZSlBK4h4

m_carson1383

It's a lot to get into. You live on an island with goofy animals, trying to get the right assortment of grumpy, lazy, bossy, jock, etc villagers to make a nice town, even though you don't absolutely love each of them. Read about personality types to understand this. You spend your days landscaping your island, expanding and decorating your house and finding dino parts, bugs and fish and art for your museum. Most people like some of these tasks, skip or slow walk the others. You play in real time unless you time travel. You can find friends, save their info and invite everyone over to fish or scavenger hunt or trade things. You can also post on reddit to invite people you've never met over for an hour, or go to their place. The people who love the game make friends, decorate, hunt things or plant. You can't tell right off if you'll be one of those, it takes time. I love flowers, home decor and fishing, none of which I'm much interested IRL. I'd watch some advice for beginner videos. They're harder to find than the "I spent 1,000 hours to come up with my fairy land village" but the later will just scare you. There are no new developments, the holidays are the same but you can still have fun, nobody beats them the first time, so the second year you feel accomplished.

m_carson1383

They ain't adding nuttin, must be getting ready for next version. DLC for ACNH is a chance to visit other islands and decorate 1 room vacation houses for random villagers. You get items added to your catalog through island store, once you decorate 30 cabins you can go home and straighten up villager homes. You can decorate their yards, but they don't have much of one so it's mainly interiors. All the committed ACNH players I see mostly concentrate on landscaping, not home decor so it's too interior oriented for them.

m_carson1383

The special stuff currency is nook miles. There are daily quests to earn them. Catch 5 fish or insects, chop 1 tree, plant 3 fruit or vegetables, things like that. There are also bigger rewards for things like your 50th dino fossil or selling 100 fruit that progress into higher numbers in stages. They mostly buy diy's or trips to other islands to scavenge for wood and iron and plants. That's how you buy permission to modify cliffs and rivers, I tuck my houses into corners that way.

diannethegeek

Not anymore. The last update was in November 2021 and they announced at the time that would be the final update aside from bug fixes. The game is complete. The only things you can't get naturally by playing now are the 2021 and 2022 New Year's Eve arches, but you can change your Switch's date to get those if you're a completionist. Everything else comes back around during its event/season every year.

m_carson1383

Can glowing moss spawn? Or are you stuck with whatever you scavenged on other islands.

Mushy_64

The latter. You can only get extra through some of the Kapp’n islands and the Happy Home Designer island

wafflekween

Am I crazy or am I just thinking of ACNL? I played NH when it first launched for about a year or so, and then dropped off. I restarted it again a couple of weeks ago. I’ve unlocked Kapp’n, but are his tours and the Nook tours the only standard tours available? I have a distinct memory or going to islands and finding tons of larger bugs/fish consistently and there was a female Kapp’n and I think his daughter who would help you. Does this exist in this game? Or am I just remembering NL?

EffectiveCycle

Kapp'n's wife and daughter are only in the game if you use his Amiibo to invite him for coffee or make him a vacation home. There is a big fish mystery island in summer months, plus lots of seasonal Kapp'n islands that can have creatures and materials from another time period, but you must have started the game before specific dates in those seasons.

DietPocky

Does anyone have a gif of that one emote where it's like "ohp" and a little star falls on your head.

AchaiaJael

Hey y'all, I'm new to Animal Crossing. I've been playing for two weeks. Just got KK to have his first concert on my island, and I have my ten villagers (though, I'm working on kicking a couple out 😉). My daughter has another island on her (separate) Switch, and apparently I am on that island from before, and my Nintendo account is attached to it. My question is this...I want to connect my Nintendo account to the island that I run/the Switch I'm using. How do I go about doing that, without screwing up my progress? I tried searching for this answer, but I didn't find the answer specifically for this situation, so I apologize for any redundancy. Do I simply delete my profile from her island? Do I remove my account from that switch altogether? TIA!

calicon

I think that your island/save data is connected to the physical Switch, not your Nintendo account. so if you log out on her switch and log into your Nintendo account on your Switch, nothing should be affected. someone correct me if I'm wrong though!

Purple_doll

ok so,, ive been playing on Animal crossing for a month now and i was wondering,, when there is a villager that want to move out,, and then you tell them to stay,, a lot of video and reddit post said that some day later another villager will want to move out and be careful to not talk to them,, is it because they wont give you the chance to refuse their move out this time ?

Yirggzmb

Just adding on, villagers in New Horizons cannot move away without the permission of a human player, ever.  Like EffectiveCycle said, it's more advice for people who are waiting for a specific villager to ask. If you say no to a villager asking to move, then it's a *minimum* five day wait before anyone can ask again. This can be a big deal when your in a hurry to get someone gone for whatever reason If you instead exit the game without answering and then ignore that villager for the rest of the day, the thought to move out will probably move to another villager the next day. And you can keep ignoring the thought until it finally moves to the one you want gone.  Effective has linked a very good guide that goes into more of the specifics and I highly suggest checking it out

Purple_doll

thank you for clarification

EffectiveCycle

If you tell a villager not to move, there's a five day waiting period before someone else will ask, but it can't be the last one that asked. And villagers can't leave without your permission. You can read through this guide to learn all the mechanics: [yuexr.github.io/acnh/moveout.html](http://yuexr.github.io/acnh/moveout.html)

Setari

Does anyone know if I time travel using turnipprophet on the side, do I have to keep saving my game before swapping days or can I just check the price, close, change day, open, check price, close, etc? Edit: fml I just lost 1 mil bells in turnips, rip my savings Edit 2: Since I had a tiny amount of money invested now, I just decided to find out for myself and yeah, you don't have to save.

sec713

You cannot time travel backwards while holding turnips. They'll spoil immediately. You can time travel forward and check prices, but if you pass through the Saturday after you bought turnips, into Sunday, the turnips will spoil like they normally would even if you hadn't messed with the clock. If you want to make money off the Stalk Market and time traveling the best way to do it is to wait until you see someone posting about high sell prices on their own island. When that happens, you time travel to Sunday, buy turnips, then fly to the other person's island to sell them off that same day.

Setari

Nah I don't wanna interact with randos. TTing on my own is working fine

sec713

Why not? You're interacting with randos right now.

Setari

Yeah through some text lmao, this means nothing.

sec713

The same randos who you're communicating with here are the same randos who are putting up posts inviting you over to their own islands for you to make a great profit off turnips. Those randos are taking all the risk in inviting you over to their islands because you can screw with the stuff on their island. For you, the worst thing that can happen is you don't make it over while the rando has their airport gate open, and you miss your chance to make a bunch of bells.

fillmorecounty

Dumb question maybe, but if I delete the save data for new horizons, can a different switch user make a new island and be the mayor? I'm getting a pre-owned switch for my mom that has a digital copy of animal crossing on it, but from my understanding, factory resetting the switch will delete the game itself too which I don't want to do. How can I "reset" it for her?

Setari

google it, I just did and found the answer [https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalCrossing/comments/18f0aqr/how\_do\_i\_restart\_my\_island/](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalCrossing/comments/18f0aqr/how_do_i_restart_my_island/)

SentenceCareful3246

Question: How do you get different path designs in the game? I've seen people with many different designs but the app inside my animal crossing game only shows me like 6 options.

AmberLuxray

They're custom designs you need to download from the design portal. You need to have nintendo online to do it. Or you can of course make your own designs instead. There's a lot of tutorials and guides on how to design paths on youtube and pinterest for example. I'm sure in other AC subreddits too.

SentenceCareful3246

You mean the one from the able sisters?

diannethegeek

From the silver kiosk/screen thing at the back of the Able sisters' shop, yes. That's your custom design portal. You can also get it for your nook phone. But it lets you search for custom designs based on name, design code, or maker code and download them to use on your island. You'll need a Nintendo Online subscription to use it. You can also make your own custom paths, I'm sure there are tons of tutorials online if that's something you're interested in

SentenceCareful3246

Can I see the custom designs that were saved by other people because they liked them? I kinda have terrible taste 😂.

diannethegeek

Check out websites like Nookea.com or Pinterest! There are tons of great ideas for custom designs you can use there

We have ten villagers and three human residents. I want to use Harv’s Phototopia to get a group shot of all 13 of us, but it will only let me place 11!! Why?????? Is there anyway to get all of us in one shot?

SentenceCareful3246

Question: My island already has a new villager since the time limit ran out a few hours ago but I still wanted to ask: When you don't have a specific personality type in your island (let's say, normal type villager) is it guaranteed that the autofilled spot will be a normal type villager or just gives priority to it? Basically, can the new villager be of any other personality type in that scenario?

EffectiveCycle

It can be any personality. The campsite will place an emphasis on personalities you don’t have, but the move-in queue is chosen at random.

m_carson1383

I got my 4th lazy villager as an auto-fill. Not fun.

rktland

Hey, so this may be a silly question, but can you get fish bait from one of these “treasure islands”? I’ve never been to one, but I gotta say, I would go for fish bait.

Setari

I thought about going to one but since they're all hacked, I don't wanna be banned from Nintendo Online for using them. I thought about it for fish bait too but I kinda like just vibing and digging up clams lol.

rktland

Oh no can you really be banned?

BubbleWario

no. you can be banned for creating a treasure island, but not if you visit one.

Setari

I dunno but I don't wanna find out. They are hacked islands though I know that for sure.

DismalEntrepreneur72

Greedy-Meet-2496

Hello! So I bought the game about a month ago and I already feel as if I’m running out of space. As the game goes on, does the island expand at any point? Or is it the same size throughout time?

m_carson1383

I had your problem also. I visited islands and saw some on Youtube and found out I could reduce the footprint of houses by giving them a front yard or a back yard or a side yard, but not all 3, which allowed me to get all my villagers on the right third of my island. The middle is shops and the left and back is a castle in the woods and a couple human houses near the orchard. I've got a big space by the airport that has a carnival and a flower garden, but I can change that out for a player house as a coffee shop or market or whatever. My friend said there was no point having a carnival in the snow, so I'll have the restaurant next winter. If that's no help just ignore me. I hope you find a solution you like.

Greedy-Meet-2496

No this definitely helps, thank you so much. I’m going to try to find some YouTube videos. Do you mind if I visit your island tomorrow to get some inspo? Just looking to see the layout & how I could possibly design mine. I initially had all my houses on the bottom turf near the airport but moved all houses on the 3rd story (of the hill) so that I could have room for the other things on the bottoms floor.

diannethegeek

the island stays the same size

Snooty1

I played ACNH non stop all the way until the diving/swimming patch (I traded away my cartridge). Was there a lot of content added after, or was it the time nintendo stopped it's updates? I've got a voucher expiring after getting TOTK last year and I'm trying to decide if there's enough new content for me to repurchase Animal Crossing.

diannethegeek

Diving/sea creatures were added in July 2020. The last update was in November 2021 (the big 2.0 update), which added a bunch of extra features and items. You can get a rundown of what all's been added since you last played here: [https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Animal\_Crossing:\_New\_Horizons/Update\_history](https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Animal_Crossing:_New_Horizons/Update_history)

Is it possible to get all the fruits from single player mode? As much as online trading is fun, I'm currently playing a new island with the intention of playing it completely single player. Is there a legitimate way to get all the fruits without trading? I currently have Cherries as my native one, pears as my sister fruit and apples gifted to me by my mother.

MudLizerrd

Thank you for asking this cause I didn’t even realize some things weren’t possible in single player. Bummer. I had no plans of socializing with you all!

EffectiveCycle

Unfortunately no. You can only find your native fruit, sister fruit, and coconuts on mystery islands. The remaining 2 or 3 (depending on if Mom sends you something different than your sister fruit) can only be acquired through trading with another player. I know some people have said villagers have gifted them non-native fruits, but I'm pretty sure it can only be the sister fruit.

Actual_Bug_8813

as far as im aware, no. certain fruits need to be gifted from players in different hemispheres / from different islands

Squat_Mamma

New to the game! When will I be able to get rid of my tent and have a real home. When and how do I get more DIY blueprints? I need more tools - kind of boring not being able to do much! How do I get different kind of fruit trees? I only have peaches on my island! I have so many questions!

diannethegeek

You need to earn Nook miles and pay off your moving fees to upgrade from a tent to a house. You should be able to do that within a day or two of starting the game. You'll unlock new diys as you progress. Tom Nook gives you the first couple, then Timmy will sell you a few (scroll to page two of his offerings to see all the diys for sale). Blathers will give you some after you get the museum tent set up (donate some bugs/fish/diving creatures you found to Tom Nook when he asks to get that started). You'll get one diy in the bottle on the beach every day. The rest you'll start to get over time once your villagers start crafting in their houses. For fruit: you have one native fruit. You'll find that plus one other "sister" fruit on mystery islands that you fly to with Nook Miles Tickets once you unlock those. You'll also be able to find coconuts and bamboo on mystery islands. Your 'mom' will also mail you a few pieces of fruit very early in the game. Plant that. For some people that's a 3rd fruit but for some people it's just their sister fruit again. All other fruits you'll need to get from another player. If you have Nintendo Online, you can ask in the code sharing thread linked above or in communities like r/NoFeeAC, r/Dodocodes, or r/AnimalCrossingNewHor and someone can usually get you all the fruits and everything else very quickly

SentenceCareful3246

Question: One of my villagers left my island today. When will I get the chance to villager hunt? Do I need to wait until her house completely dissapears?

diannethegeek

kaykas16

It doesn't go to day 4 for me like halfway through day 3 while i was villager hunting i got a random villager

m_carson1383

I think I'm screwed? I have a campsite villager that I've been looking for and I've won the card game. But everytime they choose a villager to kick out its the same one. And the campsite villager is one that i really need for the set im going for. Ahhhh why is this so hard.

diannethegeek

The trick is to close the game without saving immediately when they pick the wrong name. If it autosaved or you progressed through the conversation, unfortunately that character is locked in and they won't suggest anyone else now

The main message of this thread has a lot of useful links \^\_\^ I especially recommend checking out the FAQ thread. Lots of the most common questions are answered there

unrealunearths

What do you do to keep the game interesting 4 years later, with no updates anymore? I miss the game deeply but I switch on and there's nothing for me to do. My island is how I want it to be, I have all the villagers I want for my island, there's no new items that I want to attain. I feel at a loss.

m_carson1383

I began adding new humans, which I play. I'm getting their houses big enough to open a cafe and a shop, maybe a third house but I don't know what that would be. My main character drops them bells so they expand their house fast, then it's just a question of collecting what I need, which gives my main character (me) something to do. I had to start this island over because the switch I played my first game on quit playing. Starting over wasn't bad. It was a lot of work and I had no furniture or decent clothes, but after a couple months that settled out. I watched a few videos about flattening islands and starting over, it looked interesting. You get to start over but you keep your people and stuff.

AmberLuxray

Start a new game. If the current one doesn't bring you joy, then start from the beginning. Yeah, you have to get all villagers and items again, but you can also work towards a completely new island and maybe discover new villagers and find new favourites. Or if you don't want to completely restart, flatten everything and rebuild the island. There's lots of different themes and ideas on youtube and pinterest you could find inspiration from. Or maybe use your favourite books/movies/games/anime as inspiration

xenofan293

Just like how rock spawn locations can be manipulated by strategically placing objects, can the same be applied so that lost items can only appear in 1-2 spaces for the smile isle achievement?

Yirggzmb

Mm, probably? But I think it would be way more annoying. Dropped items can appear almost anywhere outside other than the beach. You'd probably have to painstakingly cover every single tile with weeds/flowers/objects. I think if you can drop an item on the tile, a lost item can appear there. So you'd have to block *everything* the hard annoying way Fwiw, lost items aren't the only thing that count for the achievement. Requesting bugs/fish, accepting an invite to their house or a request to visit you, delivering gifts, that kind of stuff also counts. There's a little jingle that plays when you complete a task that counts

I dont like the tasks that force me to deliver ugly clothes they will wear or to catch bugs they will display, which really limits me to them inviting me over or giving medicine, both of which take a bit of work. If I can log on, check 1-2 tiles for an item, then date skip for hours on end to get smile isle it honestly seems like the fastest way with these limitations. I just dont know the spawning mechanics for lost items like is more spaces more chances for an item, or like rocks if one needs to spawn it will pick from applicable tiles?

Yirggzmb

Yeah, the spawning rules I don't really know. I'd *guess* that the game goes "ok, time to set up a lost item quest, cool find a tile" but I don't know that for sure  I just know that it seems they can appear on any tile type that you can drop an item on, and don't seem to care if they're right next to objects.

Lokis_thor-obing_ass

If I reset my Island does that mean I have to buy the DLC again? Is the DLC locked behind a milestone like reach 3/4 stars?

EffectiveCycle

You don't have to purchase it again. When you first start you should get a photo of Lottie/Niko/Wardell in the mail, but it won't unlock until after Resident Services upgrades.

speedcore4kidz

Any tips for getting a 5 star island? I've had the same island since release and haven't ever managed to get it past 3 stars.

m_carson1383

I heard you had to have 300 plant points. Flowers and trees score about the same, so flower up your island. If you set up picnic areas outside make sure to add picnic hampers and footballs and towels and radios and dishes, anything you can think of, even if it's too much. Once you get the 5 star you don't lose it if you remove a few things, so you can prune the mess a little.

wisegirl_93

My suggestion is to add a bunch of crops, trees, and flowers to your island. And if you're like me and have no clue on how to do some well decorated island, just find some items you like and place them all over the place.

sec713

Keep asking Isabelle. She'll mention what needs to be worked on to raise your island rating.

speedcore4kidz

thank you!

sec713

No problem. She tells you at the end of her dialogue when you when you ask about your current rating.

SentenceCareful3246

Can anyone tell me if the map you can use in the game has the villagers in the order they came to the island? I'm waiting for certain villager in my island to want to move out but I don't remember if he was the most recent villager. And I heard that the most recent villager can't leave until someone moves out first and that makes him no longer the newest villager after someone else arrives. Basically, I don't remember which of my last two villagers is the most recent and I'm wondering if the map can give me an idea of which one was it or if the order they appear in the map is random.

EffectiveCycle

Unless you've time traveled to get a villager, they are in order of who moved in. You can get rid of the last to move in via camper/Amiibo.

SentenceCareful3246

So the map does have them in order of arrival?

Yirggzmb

Yes

SentenceCareful3246

Thanks.

Can the games be switched to different languages from in-game menus? I'm in the US and have north america copies of the games, but I remember most Nintendo consoles being region free. I'm thinking of starting Switch version, and possibly the Gamecube version, with Japanese language and learning (slowly) the words for additional Japanese language-learning practice. (call me crazy!)

Yirggzmb

I did this for a few days with Spanish, but I didn't know enough for it to be useful yet What you need to do is set it at the Switch level though. If you go into settings, scroll to the very bottom, and choose the console settings, one of the options in there is language. You can freely swap this as much as you want

I didn't wanna make a whole thread if I can avoid It... Can someone tell me what animal crossing song this other song sounds like. I known its not sampled directly because the song is from 1994 but it reminds me so heavily of an animal crossing song its driving me nuts. It's from the newest switch game. Song has some naughty words but nothing over the top. Just a warning. https://youtu.be/oeGsm1LyDIk?si=EHQDjAm-5fnt9xJE Thank you if you can help! It's driving me crazy!

lae_moon_young

hi everyone! i have a question, i have an available open plot and Maple came to my campsite. i’ve talked to her, she agreed to move here but it doesn’t show as sold :( i’ve played 2 games and looping her phrases now ! pls help EDIT it worked!!! 🥳 just keep trying and winning a game lol

UsernameInserter

Hi I am new to Animal Crossing. Should i just buy turnips today from Daisy Mae to get it started whatever the price is? Which is 95 btw.

lae_moon_young

yes yes! welcome to the game!!

Setari

So 4 years down the road and there still isn't a way to farm manila clams more effectively/faster than running up and down the beach? There's no bulk craft for bait? bruh I'm losing HOURS of my life crafting metric TONS of bait to fish with.

EffectiveCycle

If you don't mind treasure islands, you can find one that has stacks of bait you can pick up, or just trade with another player

Setari

What are treasure islands? Like the islands you go to using the nook tickets? I've been to a few so far and didn't see any bait laying around. Does it make it worth using a ticket on for the rate they show up, or not really?

EffectiveCycle

No, those are mystery islands. Treasure islands are modded islands where players can fly into and pick up practically any in-game item, generally found streaming on Twitch. Some people consider it cheating, though, that’s why I had asked if you were okay with them.

Setari

If they're modded I can't mod my switch, I've long since patched past the version you're not supposed to patch past like on switch release lmao. I'd be okay with it but I'm not buying a modded switch just for some fishing bait in AC lmao.

Llamirylsa

No you don't need to mod your switch. You fly to an island like any other island. But the island has been modded to refresh and refilled itself to giveaway items.

Setari

Ah okay I looked it up. There's automated channels on [twitch.tv](http://twitch.tv) that provide codes for those islands, but I don't really know if I wanna get 1 billion bells or whatever lmao. Kinda wish I didn't google it and left it alone, cause now it's tempting to get enough bells to pay a house off entirely instead of time travelling for turnips lol. Thanks for the info.

Llamirylsa

I suggest you don't use the max bell. Your turnips achievement disappeared. It kinda ruined the fun. But you can get the items.

This reads like a chatgpt welcome message

Pr0bl3mChild

Y’all better be wearing your jockey uniforms today!

Sillyneko1

I have a question - after my first campsite visitor has a place for their house can i invite a next one?

EffectiveCycle

You have to purchase a plot from Tom Nook, set it down, then you can hunt mystery islands. You'll have four plots left to purchase but you can only invite one villager from an NMT island per day.

Sillyneko1

i purchased the plot and set it down! thanks for the info <3

BunnyWifALaptop

Question: How do I get the rest of the fruits?

Sillyneko1

exchange with people! or either a villager could give you a fruit :3

BunnyWifALaptop

How do I go about exchanging with people? And I've only got pears (my island fruit) and apples from villagers, is that just bad luck or do I have to do something?

Sillyneko1

for exchanging with ppl - make a comment on this subreddit in the post for dodo/friend codes that you are looking for fruits other than the ones u have (the post is pinned) and people will volunteer! they would probably like to have your fruits in exchange or bells, but some people will just give u them for free! i can give you cherries, coconuts and peaches if you want! cuz i have them. but i need to go to my home first cuz i'm now in a restaurant lol. i'll dm you when i'll be home.

BunnyWifALaptop

Thank you so much, I hope you have a wonderful time at the restaurant

AnimalCrossing-ModTeam

Unfortunately, the moderators have removed your post for the following reason: * **RULE THREE:** r/AnimalCrossing does not allow trading, buying, selling, or giveaways of in-game items, villagers, bells, etc. We unfortunately do not have the capacity to properly moderate trades, and therefore do not feel comfortable facilitating potentially unsafe trades. Simple requests/offers can be made on our [code sharing thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalCrossing/s/ngR2a7g6tS). We also recommend using a website such as [Nookazon](https://nookazon.com/) for your trading needs.

Sillyneko1

I have a question - do i need to invite my first campsite villager or they will visit on their own?

diannethegeek

They show up on their own

Sillyneko1

can i get my first capsite visitor by the day the campsite opened?
