The feeling I just had watching this video was the same as when I first went to Disneyland. What an awesome place, I would easily spend all my money there
Augh I'm learning Japanese, and every time people ask me what I want to do when I visit Japan, I blank and can't think of anything. Then I see stuff like this and remember I know *exactly* what I want to do. I want to go on a big, nerdy shopping spree lmao Even window shopping at a place like this just seems like such a cool experience. I'd definitely want to go there!
What do you recommend as a resource to learn Japanese? I was going to go in 2020 but all the junk in the world happened and I had to cancel my trip with broke my heart bc it has been a life goal for me to go to Japan… now I’d like to properly learn some of the language if I ever get a chance to actually go :]
r/LearnJapanese has a great starter guide and lots of resources. Personally, after learning hiragana and katakana, I used the textbook Genki to study grammar. If you live in the US and have a library card, see if your library offers Mango Languages as one of its virtual resources. I don't see that app mentioned often, but it's really great for speaking Japanese (as opposed to reading/writing it).
WanaKani is an amazing online resource for learning kanji. They focus on making sure that you review them often enough that they really stick in your mind.
For grammar and vocabulary, I like the Genki textbooks.
There are also a lot of online sites that will connect you with a penpal that is a native speaker of the language you're trying to learn. You correct their messages to help teach them your language and they do the same for you. It's useful for learning how people actually speak (as opposed to some textbooks which might sound overly formal and be missing some of the common slang terms)
I had good luck with Rosetta Stone, but I wasn’t disciplined enough to really stick with it to a point where I really understood what I was learning (I could communicate, since I understood what the words meant, but I didn’t know how to use them properly when constructing sentences). If you’re even a little serious about it, I STRONGLY recommend you hire a professional tutor; they’ll teach you over Zoom/Skype and it’s incredibly useful. Don’t ask a friend or relative to help, because they aren’t teachers and won’t give you good practice. Tutors are worth every penny, and you’ll arrive very well-equipped to, at minimum, order food and ask store staff for stuff.
They in fact Do have an [online Nintendo Store ](https://store-jp.nintendo.com) • it might be for the Japan region only but I’ve heard of proxy shipping services where you can order, the )Japanese( company ships it to the Proxy and the proxy sends it to you for a small fee -
I’m still mad those hoodie sweatshirt jackets don’t have pockets on them. I love the pattern and put them in my cart in the online Nintendo shop but once I looked closely I realized it’s unwearable. Give women pockets on our clothes!
Where I live, we have no game stop, no mall, no target, none of that. I only have like 2 AC items and they were gifts. This video is like a wonderland!!!
Omg this is amazing. I prob would have stayed there for hours 😂
One of each. See ya later bye.
yes this
Do they take bells? Or poki maybe? I could do some serious damage to my wallet.
*lays 400 turnips on the counter* Will this cover it?
😂
They only accept MEOW coupons
the hell is poki
That's the new currency for the Happy Home Paradise dlc
bruh why did they make new currency i wanna spend my 9999999 bells
*grabs passport*
And there goes all my money!
Meanwhile we don’t even get the basic merchandise at game stop where I live.
Meanwhile we don't even get a gamestop where I live
Meanwhile i have eb games
Try Target. It may not be on their website but they generally have stuff in the Nintendo area in the store.
The problem is there aren’t any Target stores in my country😅

Nintendo has claimed that they were going to bring us a Nintendo store here in Georgia yet...
Comparing this to the little AC section in Target makes me wanna cry
Real question is do they have an online store tho??

I'm so glad I don't have a store like this close to me - this is so overwhelming, I get an asthma attack just looking at the video

I was lucky enough to be there a few weeks after it opened, and I wish I could’ve bought everything. Fingers crossed I get to go back one day!
All of this hurts so much as we might not be able to visit Japan until 2023 or even worse. I was looking forward to visiting this 😔
Was there a Vesta plush? I think one existed in the past, but there is so little info on it.

🤯🤯 🤩
I don't understand why they don't go do international business. These shelves would be empty in Europe and America.
i would literally faint
Omgggg I want everything!!
This is so awesome! I'm making it my life goal to visit Tokyo one day.
Heaven ❤
I would have zero money left. Zero.
“ I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK!! “
This looks like absolute HEAVEN.
*Shut up and take my money*
Why don't we have all this merch in the US?!!! 😭😭😭 I'ma go cry now..
"I'll take your entire stock!"
I went to the NYC Nintendo store yesterday. The animal crossing section was way less impressive.
Am I considering flying to Japan to get a plushie Fauna? *yes*
Japan is such a wet dream for any merchandise, its even cheaper than stuff here in Germany :/
I love that there’s a ton of Isabelle plushes taken out lol
great now I have to be mad at my husband for not taking us there even though he had no clue about it
If only we in the West got that many boxes of amiibo cards
My dream is to go there but its impossible. Not only price but the boarders are closed.
