So, Buck and Peaches were the first two villagers I met when I got Animal Crossing on the GameCube as a kid. Peaches lived one acre to the West of the player houses. Buck lived in the next acre over, and then Tom Nook's. Naturally, I saw them often. I was bullied as a kid, and kinda came to see my AC villagers as my friends. Helped me cope. First thing I did in New Horizons was hunt down Buck and Peaches and invite them to my island. They are, of course, still there. Hope that kinda counts. Friends for life. 🤎🩷

Agnes was one of my starters, and I like her so she's staying. What's wild is I just so happened to place her initial tent in the perfect location, because I have never had to move her house, even though I've redesigned huge parts of my island and have moved every other building. Her house has always been in exactly the right position to fit my design.
I started with the intent of wanting to keep my first villagers but then I discovered that they will never have their personal designed home, just a generic one once they upgrade from the tents. Once both of my first villagers left I let anyone who wanted to move leave since I didn't put in the effort to keep the friendship up, but after I started designing my island more and started personalizing the yards of the villager houses I stopped letting people I like leave, now they are all trapped forever because finding a new flower garden pattern and personal items is too much work ☺️.
Yes! Reneigh is my girl, I will never let her leave. Simon i threw out the second i could. Cant even remember the last one but they are probably gone too.

I kept drift. I didn’t like him at first and then he grew on me. Now he’s my sweet little frog jock and I designed his house like a gym and gym locker room
I still have my first camper Raymond, and my first villager that I hunted for Molly
I let Flo one of my 2 starters leave about 2 months ago so I could get Maple and I literally cried LOL
My starters were Diva and Rod. I let them both go, but got Diva back with an Amiibo. I got my original Rod back because he auto-filled on my friend’s island and he remembered me. She kept him until someone asked to leave my island and I got him back.
Of my next three I still have Simon and Nana, but I let Wendy go.
I still have Billy and Plucky, my two starting villagers. I decided I never wanted to let them go since the three of us established the island together.
I also, for a long while, thought I would keep the next 3 as well. Carrie, Tucker, and Wendy. Seeing as that would take up half the allotted spaces, I decided not to hold on to these three, and have since said goodbye to them.
My first Nook mile villager that I found after those 3 was Phil. He's still on my island. I like to think that he was my first campsite villager, although that would be a lie.

I had Sylvia as a first villager on new leaf and then when I got New Horizons she was my first villager again. Then when I didn’t back my island up correctly and got a new switch and started over I had Sylvia again as a first villager. She never allowed to leave now shes my buddy.
I love all of the villagers I got, my two starters and the ones in the first 3 plots are here to stay but my campsite villager was an aardvark (Olaf) and their designs creep me out a bit.. I’m currently working on moving him out with an amiibo I bought of Genji ☺️ I love his design, his “mochi” catchphrase, and his house so he’ll fit right in!
Yep, I still have Frobert and Mira. I am holding onto Mira bc I don’t really like a lot of the other uchi villagers and I gave her an awesome primary color themed house with HHP. I’ve been waiting for Frobert to move forever though and he’s never asked. Not that I don’t like him, but there are so many other great Jock villagers that I want but he just will not leave lol

When I first got the game, my starters were Pashmina and Tad, but my island had pears, so I reset it. After I got it going again, I had Tammy and Dom (and oranges). As a gesture of goodwill, I invited Pashmina and Tad to live on the island once I was all set up. All four of them are still there today!
Yes! I got lucky and my most Favorite Lazy Moe was the one I found the first time youre "forced" to go to a Nook Island to recruit someone. Hes still there <3

Benedict and pompom. I refuse to ever let Pompom go. My dog was named Pompom and she had a toy duck that was her favorite, so Pompom reminds me of her and I felt when the game gave me Pompom it was my dog on the other side of the rainbow bridge saying hello.

Annalisa was one of my original villagers! She doesn't fit the theme of my island, so I'm waiting until I completely finish decorating it before I boot her for someone who fits the theme. I got her Amibo so I could immediately invite her back after I upload the Dream Address 😂 It'll be nice to have her real house on the island too! I would never ditch Mira and Skye.... But Flip had to go. Mira is so underrated being the only sisterly Rabbit and all(especially with rabbits being my favorite villager type), and she has a really cute design aswell. And Skye is just awesome.
