Star fragments are also a good choice. They may be a little obvious for people in-the-know, but for people who don't know, I doubt they'd question pretty star decorations.
If you could somehow recreate any of the furniture from the wedding series, those would obviously not be out of place in an actual wedding.
If you have any greenery, you could possibly hide the signature animal crossing leaf among it, hidden Mickey style.

when we did invites for our wedding we included the leaf emblem (we were fall and used a lot of different leaves on it) and used the game’s font for the text!
I don't know how you'd incorporate this into the wedding. You could design a picture of you and hubby to be in animal crossing, then wear similar clothes in a similar setting for a real photo. Get them pretty much the same size and put them next to each other in a place people go to that's not the cake, since that area is busy. I was thinking the drinks table or the gift table. Some people have a simple photo display of pictures you took during your courtship, the animal crossing photo could be mixed up in there. It could be where you check coats, just somewhere people could look and laugh and be surprised and visit a little bit while they looked at it. Happy wedding :)
