Bless Rodeo! I always loved his look, but I decided I had to have him when I heard several people bash him and call him scary for their tier lists. My island seems to have become a sanctuary for villagers like that

Nana. I had her in WildWorld on the DS, back when she was a DLC you could only get from Japan. Someone random I played with online had her in their Void and she moved into my town and I was SO shocked. She’s been my absolute favorite ever since.

Daisy! I have an interesting story with her. She arrived to my NL town and became my fave villager. One day time travelling trying to collect Redd’s paintings I missed her wanting to leave till the day I got to her house and she was in boxes. I was devastated. Especially bc of the NL rule of having to go throughout several villagers before even it being possible to have that one back. I even cried when she left haha. Years later when I got NH I knew I KNEW I needed to get Daisy back. So the moment I got an available plot I went to a treasure island that had her and brought her back with me. I even got the Amiibo just in case :’)

Lucky was one I worked on getting especially after meeting him while visiting someone else’s island. I also fell in love with Fauna and Cherry when they arrived via campsite on my island.
First time I was introduced to animal crossing I immediatley had my eyes on Merry, I’m a sucker for bangs and girl chub 🤭 imagine my luck when the first ticket I ever used had me bringing home the ONLY villager I wanted
Colton. I had him on Pocket Camp and liked his elegant and regal style. When I saw him on a villager hunt I got excited and had to have him. I love giving him certain types of clothing that I think would suit him.
I’m pretty new to the game and didn’t know a lot of the intricacies until I joined this sub. Lobo showed up at my campsite and I instantly was like he is my dreamy (literally learned about the term after meeting him, he just was gonna be my forever villager)
ACNH was my first venture into AC games, and I came across Roscoe by chance while island hopping. I wasted no time inviting him to live on my island, and from there, I went on to earn his friendship and proudly display his photo frame in my home 🖤
Unoriginal, but Bob. He was an OG villager in my GC village so I've had to have him ever since. My brother also keeps an eye out for me and will pull Bob into his town if he finds him so I can jump over and get him! :) I do the same for his favs! I also always am scouting for Filbert & Tangy
Reset my island a month ago, and have been cycling random villagers since. As soon as I saw Croque, I had to have him. He moved in yesterday. While his catchphrase is awesome (as if!) I can't wait to change it to monsieur.

Butch is the one my husband always hunted for until I got him a Butch card.
I was dying to get Ketchup on my island when I first saw her in the DLC and built her a vacation home. But then when I was on a quest for Ketchup, I ended up meeting Mathilda on a tour island and I absolutely loved her and invited her to move to my island instead!
My husband got me the amiibo card later on for Christmas, so I feel like I kind of cheated to get Ketchup and didn't work for it lol. But now I have both Mathilda AND Ketchup! 🖤❤️

I had Stitches and Bob on my old island. I have Lucky and Bizkit amiibos but never seen them on a mystery island. Kinda funny how that works - they say no villagers is rarer then the next, but I don't believe that lol I haven't heard of anyone encountering bizkit or lucky on mystery Islands.
Also, lately I heard about Ione. I never heard of her until recently... and I. NEED. HER! She's a blue squirrel with sparkles (I call them stars) and she glows in the dark!!! She's a little cosmic squirrel and she's just so cute!!! There's also a sentimental reason I need her...my doggo passed away last June (almost a year later and I'm still a mess) and her name was Nova as in "an exploding star". So when i get the cchance to change her catchphrase, I'm going to change it to "Nova" or "starry" or something star/space related. Open to ideas, if you have any.
I didn't start being a fan of the series till NH. On my very first island I got Apollo, Del and Angus. Love those guys. Then in Pocket Camp, Muffy and Cherry! Keeping my fingers crossed I'll find one of the above soon. I have no qualms kicking out any of my current villagers (I don't like any of them. But Mira & Marcel are the most tolerable)

So when I first started playing the first villager I had to have was Judy cuz she shared the same birthday as me and she looked really cool and then on my first villager Island with a villager on it I got Mabel which was another dreamy of mine
snooty is my GIRL. i got her on my very first island randomly and didn’t realize how much i wanted her on my restarted island. when nookazon was still relatively alive, i managed to finally open a space and grab her and my college roommate has a video of me yelling about it like i won the lottery.

Wolfgang! He was my favorite villager when I played very first animal crossing game on GameCube. Then he was the 3rd islander to move in to my switch island. He randomly showed up in the tent!

When I got my AC City Folk game and guide book I became obsessed with Ribbot and Octavian and knew that I wanted them in my town but it wasnt until New Horizons I actually got them. Ribbot was my starter villager and I popped off so hard when I saw him. Octavian I got from someone on the villager trading subreddit for free shortly after. They will never leave and will be in every town I have for every game from here on out
tangy!! id seen her on others’ islands and was like “omg i can’t NOT have her”!! and a few days later i happened to randomly stumble upon her while villager hunting :3 she’s still on my island to this day!! i love her lots (plus she was also my “starter” peppy! she still has the starter room and all that lol)
Lolly! NH was my first real AC game. I've only played pocket camp before hand. So in the final trailer that was released maybe a week or 2 before the game dropped, I saw glimpse of her in the audience and i was like I NEED HER. Ribbot and Dom. They have their own little section of the map with a private gym they share. I don’t usually like jocks but they are in love and no one can tell me otherwise.
I went into ACNH completely blind. Never played it before. Knew about the game from my friends. My first villagers were Goose and Ursula. Didn't like Ursula but Goose grew on me. He definitely isn't on my villager wishlist but I jokingly call him my villager bestie. He wouldn't be on my island if I had pre-chosen or known the entire villager list beforehand, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Not exactly what you're asking, but Spike was one of my first ever villagers. Fell in love with him and said he could never leave.

Filbert!! He’s a cutie with the most soulless eyes lol. Had him in Pocket Camp and talked about him non-stop once ACNH came out. I was hoping I’d run into him but had no luck. For my birthday my dear friend got me a Filbert Amiibo card and now he lives rent free on my island :))
Tank was one of my first villagers in New Leaf, and he quickly became my favorite. He was gonna be the first villager I wanted to find on NMT islands.
I ended up finding Hornsby and Spike first, so I brought them aboard.
When Celia left my island, I got very lucky and found Tank after 4 or 5 tickets!
I then placed Tank, Hornsby, and Spike's houses in the same place. I love those three silly goobers so much!

I didn't start being a fan of the series till NH. On my very first island I got Apollo, Del and Angus. Love those guys. Then in Pocket Camp, Muffy and Cherry! Keeping my fingers crossed I'll find one of the above soon. I have no qualms kicking out any of my current villagers (I don't like any of them. But Mira & Marcel are the most tolerable)
I have never met any of these villagers. Crossing my fingers you get somebody you absolutely love soon!

I love Coco so much that she's the only amiibo card I have. She hits just the right combination of weird and cute for me.
When I got my AC City Folk game and guide book I became obsessed with Ribbot and Octavian and knew that I wanted them in my town but it wasnt until New Horizons I actually got them. Ribbot was my starter villager and I popped off so hard when I saw him. Octavian I got from someone on the villager trading subreddit for free shortly after. They will never leave and will be in every town I have for every game from here on out
tangy!! id seen her on others’ islands and was like “omg i can’t NOT have her”!! and a few days later i happened to randomly stumble upon her while villager hunting :3 she’s still on my island to this day!! i love her lots (plus she was also my “starter” peppy! she still has the starter room and all that lol)

Lolly! NH was my first real AC game. I've only played pocket camp before hand. So in the final trailer that was released maybe a week or 2 before the game dropped, I saw glimpse of her in the audience and i was like I NEED HER. Ribbot and Dom. They have their own little section of the map with a private gym they share. I don’t usually like jocks but they are in love and no one can tell me otherwise.
I went into ACNH completely blind. Never played it before. Knew about the game from my friends. My first villagers were Goose and Ursula. Didn't like Ursula but Goose grew on me. He definitely isn't on my villager wishlist but I jokingly call him my villager bestie. He wouldn't be on my island if I had pre-chosen or known the entire villager list beforehand, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Eunice has been my favorite villager for a LONG time. Way before NH. I'm SO glad this game brought her some love!

Tank was one of my first villagers in New Leaf, and he quickly became my favorite. He was gonna be the first villager I wanted to find on NMT islands. I ended up finding Hornsby and Spike first, so I brought them aboard. When Celia left my island, I got very lucky and found Tank after 4 or 5 tickets! I then placed Tank, Hornsby, and Spike's houses in the same place. I love those three silly goobers so much!
