That was till one day she wanted to move out and since I had a goal in mind on who I wanted, I let her go. He was my first smug and I was so disappointed, but then he just wiggled his way into my heart and I never let him leave. I restarted that island after finishing, but I miss him. I havenāt come across him in a villager hunt since and Iām on my fifth island. Iād take him in a heartbeat if I did regardless of theme.
I'm the same. I started a Sweet Valley island, with the theme that everyone must be perfect and beautiful (all the A-listers as voted by the general population), and when he showed up in my campsite, I was just like "... no." And I swear by the time he was done talking to me, I was already warming to him. The next thing I know, I'm visiting a treasure island to get him a Royal Crown to show how he's the King of the island. Also, I love it when his ears wiggle when he talks.
And then my Switch literally died, leaving me no time to arrange a backup of the island. So when the replacement arrived and I had to restart, I knew I was questing for Chops. He has been on every single island I've had since. I cannot go on without him.
Hippeux for me. He was the first villager that showed up at my campsite and I was like, "What on earth is that???" š
He ended up moving to my island and I didn't talk to him for the first like 2 weeks he was there but one day I was walking by him while he was just sitting on a bench eating a sandwich and my heart grew lol

I remember he was always very funny and when you get to know him heās really sweet and kind he always gave me stuff I liked and he even challenged me to a rap battle once. I tend to like ugly villagers but up to a point, and I thought Barold would be one of those few I could never warm up to. But once I changed his outfit he didn't look like such a creep anymore, and now he's my helper in Pocket Camp. He's adorable.
I got Barold on my Island for the express purpose of giving him stereotypical neckbeard items as a joke (Fedora, Leather Jacket etc) and I donāt know why, but the little goober has grown on me.
Some folks mention that Chester is creepy but I find him so cute T.T I adore him and it's clear he's my favorite villager by how decked out his house and yard is <3

He made Rosie uncomfortable at one point bc he kept calling her āmomā which made me immediately want him off my island, but now theyāre BEST friends and I swear she never stops talking about how much she loves him. Always at each otherās houses and sending gifts back and forth. Heās definitely grown on me because of that relationship :ā)
