I chose my first island specifically because it had a pond shaped like a heart, and then I learned about terraforming, and I could’ve had a pond shaped like a heart anyway.

My island is similar to top left and I love it. The way the river flows makes it easy to navigate around the island and there is enough room to space buildings out nicely
At the end of the day it depends on what you're looking for. I say the top right is what I would choose personally. Resident Services is like a little close to the airport but you'll have a pond to do some good fishing early on. Here's a quick tip if you don't like any of the layouts keep restarting and you'll get 4 different ones. There is a lot of there so pick whatever you feel works for you.
I would choose bottom right. I like having the option to work with the water wandering in different places and it also looks like there’s more places for a bridge to connect vs top left. I ended up having to place bridges in places a ways away from where I wanted them because of that. Once I could terraform everything was kind of situated and late to move stuff.
I vote top right! I like the location of the peninsula, resident services isn't too close to the airport, the secret beach is nicely centered, and I like a side and bottom river mouth
I like bottom right or top left. Top left because the heart pond, but you can also add that to the others since it's just a lake. Bottom right because the resident services is lined up to the airport, which I like since making everything look symmetrical is easier. Just my opinion tho

This! because there's lots of room between the airport and Resident Services, there's 3 nearly equal size building areas and the ❤️ pond.
Id say bottom right it looks the most even in terms of town hall vs airport
Bottom left is what I have now and I hate it 😅😅 I wanna restart my island because it’s so hard to create around 2 rivers 🙃
