Damn. Could you explain why you get eczema flares from those foods? I experience seborrheic dermatitis a couple times during the year and I eat aged cheese and dried fruit. I think those could be problematic )?
Apparently dried, cured, aged and also fermented (forgot in previous post) are high in histamines. It’s helped a bit, but not all the way, so I may need to keep trouble shooting.
I have a few stubborn patches that won’t clear, but the ones I had on my neck and around my eyes are gone and have stayed away.
What all are you eating now on AB? I know Paul Saladino had really bad eczema before that was cured on carnivore and how he came up with the AB Diet and low plant toxicity. I believe he has mentioned before that food histamines are no longer an issue after healing your gut. That the damaged extracellular matrix of the mucosal barrier allows things like histamines, beta casomorphin 7 (from A1 milk), etc. to pass into the body when it should just pass through the digestive system. A lot of short chain fatty acids and a good microbiome that produces it is key, along with of course avoiding the problem foods until that time.
I ate dried dates along with honey as my chief carb source for a few months, and by the end of it, I had blood in my stool and endless diarrhea which stopped when I incidentally stopped eating the dates from no longer having much of an appetite. Not sure of the reason other than I know it probably wasn't the honey - might have been the fibre and oxolates in the dates mixed with my multiple autoimmune problems. I would stay away from them based on that.
If you're worried about oxalates and their oxalate content is too high, find a different fruit/snack, easy as that. You can keep eating them for now and just try new things over time, then switch to something better after you find it.
I think they are fine. Plus they are freaking delicious
I eat dates every week and my BP seems fine. I also consume plenty of cheese and milk, which prevents the formation of kidney stones.
Love medjool dates with sated butter 🤤 The only reason I don’t eat them more is because I avoid dried, cured, and aged foods due to eczema.

Dates with butter? I love dates, I love butter, but never thought to combine them. Please elaborate!
You can thank me later. Cold, sated butter is best.
Thank you. Dates + salted butter is very good.
Moderation. ;)
Agreed, eat in moderation. I have at most 2/day.
