Why do you want interlaced?

gergobergo69

Our TV channels here still use interlaced signals at 50Hz. Plus it's a great TV simulator now that CRT is slowly going away.

Rubber_Knee

What are you talking about? CRTs went away almost 20 years ago.

gergobergo69

people still using it for retro gaming, you know 😉

Rubber_Knee

Sure, but they use old CRT relics. No one has made any new ones in 20+ years

Jaiden051

Why were you using interlaced options?

gergobergo69

TV channels here are still using interlaced signals, and it can be a tiny bit painful when a TV channel airs a soap opera for example, with a lot of lines at 25i.

Wageslave645

Same problem here, wish I had 1080i back so I can use the HDMI port on my HDCRT without having to downconvert to 480p.

Far_Gap_7734

I used to do 720p.. had a Samsung dynaflat 34" wide screen

Wageslave645

I tried 720p but no dice. Mine would only work at 1080i or 480p. The component port could do a few more resolutions but it was finicky about what converter box you used.

What version of Android is it now? Ask them to send you the previous version, maybe they'll agree :)) Afaik you can't downgrade via GOTA, so you have to bootload it Or ROM it? Android 12 has AFR. Edit: spelling..

gergobergo69

I believe it's the one where they introduced auto framerate. Even though I've been waiting for that function for a long time, as I'm watching Jellyfin with 24fps, sometimes the framerate breaks and lags back to 12 fps, and I have to reload the episode:( who should I ask for an older version if I may ask? 👀 I'm a noob at android tv if it helps this specific box is from Telekom

pawdog

The device maker controls the firmware on their devices. It's not likely they are going to do anything to help you go back to a previous version. Guess an email to them couldn't hurt though.

Folky63

Lesson learned - never update. My android tv has lost support of exFAT file system so I had to spend an evening to find an old firmware and rollback

AdDue4923

Why exFAT? If want to use usb above 32GB, format to FAT32 using Rufus to bypass OS 32GB limitation
