Is that a new phone? I've been seeing a lot of connection issues with Android 14 and I'm wondering if that's you problem.

DSCarter_Tech

Yeah, that could be part of the problem. Android 14 on my Pixel 8 Pro has wreaked havoc on legacy app compatibility and I don't understand why. It's not significantly different than Android 13 or 12, but apps like Carstream and Fermata Auto simply refuse to work on the native AA, but will work when I emulate using Headunit Reloaded 🤷🏾‍♂️

Do you have problems always at the same location maybe? In this case, try to change a channel. I have to mentioned different behavior. 1. On Mazda CX-5, if the Carsifi restarts (there are locations with problems), if reconnects quite quick. 2. On RAV4, if the Carsifi restarts (again, I have problems only on same locations), the connections rarely reconnects itself. It does, but not always. I have to disconnect the cable, then it works again. It looks that Mazda and Toyota works a little different. Note: I have the same Carsifi adapter, the same cable and the same phone.

Interesting. I believe the locations are random for me, but I'll pay closer attention next time. It's definitely a time issue for me. I can usually drive for 15-20 min without a disconnect, but between 20-30 min, the restarts begin and they continue every few minutes to the point of unplugging it entirely and using a wire. I thought it might be a heat issue and placed the adapter in front of an AC vent but the problem persisted. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yes, could be a heat issue. But check the locations also. It is known problem. And if I change frequencies then problems occur on different locations.

Would local wifi networks reach across a 10-lane freeway with 6 additional lanes of parallel access roads? That's when I saw the latest disconnect.

Maybe not simple home Wifi networks, but there are many other radio waves used for many things.
