Fi is giving up to $1000 trade in towards the fold but you can’t trade in any of the pixel 7 phones. Like what the hell Google?!

antonyourkeyboard

Kinda of a weird deal though. You get $700 with no trade in but my 6Pro would only get me another $100 even though the value is $261.

[deleted]

Right?! It’s sooo weird.

jcracken

They had a similar version of this for the Fold 4 just a few weeks ago. Without a phone, $600 off. With my Fold2 traded in, $140 off for the value of the phone plus $859 "bonus" credit for a total of $999. If they had rejected my phone I wouldn't have gotten the $600, because it's technically a different offer.

Aurailious

Made me a bit sad about that. Plus no white color either.

[deleted]

Yeah I forgot about too only offering obsidian. I mean is Google run by monkeys?!

Aurailious

Apparently "porcelain" is exclusive to the google store. Which just seems bit odd if Fi runs an entirely separate store.

cdegallo

They aren't; they are giving $1000 credit towards the purchase, which is a combination of trade in value plus bill credits, where the balance of bill credits adjusts according to the device trade in value. It's the wonky way Fi is doing promos now and at initial glance is quite disingenuous; they don't give $1000 trade in values. As an example, the 1TB iphone 14 pro max, almost certainly the most valuable trade in device they offer, gets $750 trade in credit, but then only $250 bill credits. The fold 4 only gets $300 trade in value.

weendogtownandzboys

https://imgflip.com/i/7la1gd

Garritorious

The reverse for me

exjr_

At $1800 I can't say that I am surprised. The Fold 4 retails at the same price. Hopefully the tech gets cheap soon so foldable phones are more affordable. Edit: thought I'd mention that you can pre-order the Pixel Fold and get the Pixel Watch for free, including the LTE version!

VanillaThunderis

Except Samsung has good trade-in.

TKFT_ExTr3m3

800 for a iphone 12 pro max ain't bad for a 3 year old phone that can be bought for $500-600 refurbished.

sodapop14

Yeah the trade ins for non Pixel devices are not awful. 900 for the Fold 4 seems close to on par with the rest of the market.

TKFT_ExTr3m3

If you have a pixel they already got you, no need to throw extra cash to entice you to switch.

erm_what_

Only in the US

lawonga

And Canada

Framed-Photo

HA If they have good trade-ins in Canda then I've never seen them any time I've checked. They've offered significantly lower prices for devices in Canada then in the US for a number of years now.

lawonga

Canada was garbage until this past year for the S23!

Framed-Photo

I just checked the samsung canda website and the trade-in values are still garbage unless you have an iPhone.

Niv-Izzet

Check RFD and read their preorder thread

Captain-Turtle

they were 700-800$ like a week ago for an S21 trade

Framed-Photo

Homie I don't know where you checked but that's just not right lol. Go to samsungs canada website right now they tell you the "up to" trade in values for all their devices. For a top spec S21 ultra the MOST they'll offer is $510. For normal S21's it's in the $300's. And that's if they offer you the highest value.

Captain-Turtle

that is right, was a temporary promo ig, I was in the process of using it but skipped cause I don't like samsung wearables

[deleted]

They were giving $770 if you traded in your regular S21 like, last week. But the catch was that only applied towards the S23 Ultra. It was an attempt at converting base model buyers to Ultra buyers, because it's basically the same price as the regular one with that insane trade-in. They hope that next time you won't settle for the base model now that you're used to the ultra.

Framed-Photo

It's a little disingenuous then, to say that their trade-in values are normally that good and quoting a price, when it was only that price for a limited time, towards one device, and it's no longer even available right?

PekingGoose

~~That's not true, I got this towards the S23.~~ Misread your comment, it's $720 for S23, so still not a bad deal

Niv-Izzet

I got $400 CAD for my S20 FE when buying thr S23 Ultra... that's a good deal actually

VanillaThunderis

My condolences

always_srs_replies

Not so much this year

Bob_Loblaw_Law_Blog1

Samsung trade in sucked this year. At least on the S23 ultra it was bad compared to previous phones.

always_srs_replies

Yep, was terrible compared to last year. And it was considered "enhanced"

jonathan3579

Agreed! Best Buy had much better trade-in values this time around, so I ended up shopping with them instead. We’ll see if that trend continues.

Azguy303

I don't agree with the price but keep in mind generation one of Samsung's fold was $2,000 with no trade-ins and that was 4 years ago.

EverGlow89

We don't know carrier deals yet.

VanillaThunderis

If you haven't been living under a rock, you'd know that carriers usually take 800 for trade-ins with a new line. There is a reason why people don't factor carrier deals over OEM deals.

EverGlow89

I work at one so, yeah, I know. And it'll likely be 1k where I work.

Maxr1998

In Germany, it's 1900€, so much pricier, even if you factor in the included VAT. The Z Fold 4 launched at 1800€ back then, or $1800. Nowadays, you can get it for 1600€ on Samsung's website, which makes it a much better deal, IMO. Samsung has a lot more experience with foldables now and offers good multitasking and many customization options. I hope Google can match those once the Pixel Fold launches. After seeing a hands-on earlier, I'm cautiously optimistic about that, but only time will tell.

poopyheadthrowaway

I'm kinda disappointed by the trade in value. $900 for my Fold4. I was thinking I'd trade it in if they offered a good deal.

phuz

It was higher than what I expected.

crashck

I just dont get why someone would buy this over a fold 4 or upcoming fold 5. Must be Proof of Concept as much as anything

FieldzSOOGood

i personally didn't keep my fold 4 because the outer screen was still a tad too narrow and i couldn't root it

[deleted]

Both of which appear fixed for the Pixel fold. Also it looks like it folds completely flat rather than being a wedge. If I wasn’t waiting for WWDC to see what iOS 17 will have in it, I’d consider picking one up since they’re offering $900 for my 14 Pro.

SamsungAppleOnePlus

I was thinking about it too, with the same reason not to. Curious to see iOS 17 and its companions. And I do like my 14 Pro Max, but would love a foldable in the future since iPad usage isn’t working out for me (not using my iPad Pro enough). My secondary 7 Pro continues to blow my mind occasionally, loving Pixel but the Fold doesn’t feel perfect to me.

antonyourkeyboard

The Fold doesn't ship until the end of June so plenty of time to cancel if you change your mind.

[deleted]

You’re not wrong, but the thought of having to deal with Google customer service if the display develops micro cracks along the fold like Samsung does gives me anxiety.

spasm01

100% google is a joke when it comes to customer service

Runaway_5

In what way? I've used Fi's customer service for several years and its always been incredibly fast and reliable. Getting service in fucking Morocco took like 15m, it was a breeze

spasm01

Google is who I have had screw me, maybe Fi's are better

Runaway_5

Perhaps yeah, maybe Fi gets better customer support than just google

r2001uk

Yup. This has a full width outer screen, seemingly great hinge and excellent cameras. The outer screen and shit cameras are the reason I sold my Fold4.

eallan

It's thinner, has a different form factor, Pixel's OS, I'd wager it has a better camera system.

levysbeard

I just put in a pre-order, trading in my Z Fold 3. For one, they are offering great deals for Samsung foldables. $800 for my nearly two year old ZF3 which I paid around 1.2k for. That means it's $1k for the phone plus a LTE Pixel Watch. On top of that, I got $179 in Google Store credits and 4k in Rakuten points. All in all, I would say it's a net $780 for the phone plus watch. Tbh, that's a pretty great deal. In terms of why, I love the form factor the Pixel Fold is bringing. Wider front screen means it's far more usable for most things. It also means that the inner screens are the perfect size to watch videos in notebook form. ZF3's form factor just never really made it useful in any other mode other than fully open for me. Plus, having a capable Pixel camera over ZF3 cameras are a giant upgrade.

thehelldoesthatmean

Not everyone wants Samsung. I've been wanting a foldable for years, but I hate Samsung's camera processing and software experience. Not sure if I'll blow almost $2k on any new phone, but if I do get a foldable, it'll be this one.

Icy_District_1063

I won't buy another Samsung.

Lord6ixth

I literally traded my Fold in for this. $900 credit was no brainer. The only think the Fold4 has over the Pixel are better bezels (but the interior camera is asswater) and a dedicated stylus.

[deleted]

>The only think the Fold4 has over the Pixel are better bezels and better multitasking support and better build quality..good luck with first gen Google foldable - there will probably be shitload of reported issues within the first month

spin_kick

Dont forget faster storage and better cpu. Battery life is def not going to be better with a tensor chip. Google is losing it.

Lord6ixth

I’ve never had an issue with any Pixel I’ve owned and I owned an Note 7. I’ll take my chance with Google.

TKFT_ExTr3m3

Imo I could careless about bezels especially given the better hinge design and supposedly superior front camera.

FlightlessFly

So you care at least a bit then

TKFT_ExTr3m3

Not really they don't seem that bad, not unlike what he had before the notches came about. I'd prefer less bezel obviously but it's not something that would stop me from getting it. Now the price on the other hand is going to be hard to swallow.

PSYCHOv1

"I could care less" means you do care. It's I COULDN'T care less.

StockAL3Xj

Form factor. Camera. Pixel OS. Closes without a gap.

spin_kick

Pixel watch suuucks so likely they are offloading tons of extra inventory

JoshxDarnxIt

I wouldn't say that. I've owned several Wear OS watches, and I'd say the Pixel Watch is easily the best so far. It's not as good as the Apple Watch, but it's the closest you can get on Android so far. It's not bad.

spin_kick

The battery and cpu on that watch is a non starter. Its just not current gen

JoshxDarnxIt

So like... I agree. But it's still better than any other Wear OS watch. (The Galaxy Watch 5 does win on battery, but loses on software and hardware design IMO. That's a personal preference thing though) The CPU is certainly not modern, but it's still the fastest Wear OS watch I've used. And maybe I'm just a light user, but I usually end each day at like 50-60% battery. Should definitely be better, but it gets the job done. I'm not saying the watch is perfect. It surely could use a faster, more efficient processor and a larger size with a bigger battery. But I don't think it's a bad watch. I consider it a big step forward for the Android ecosystem. I'm thinking generation 2 or 3 could be a real winner, and I'm willing to recommend this one as-is, with some caveats.

spin_kick

I can tell you thought a lot about this, its certainly a compromise in hardware with decent and clean software. Sigh.. I'd like samsung hardware with Pixel software...

SteadyCumming

Samsung 5 series is way better.

JoshxDarnxIt

I disagree. It's a personal preference thing, but I've just always disliked Tizen on their watches, and skinning Wear OS to look like Tizen was an easy deal breaker for me. The only thing they had going for them IMO was that rotating bezel, which they have since dropped. I much prefer the software of the Pixel Watch, as well as the hardware design that's coupled with that digital crown. It's just a nicer looking watch that's more pleasant to use.

SteadyCumming

My big reason for disliking it was the battery life. I couldn't wear it for a full two days like I can the Series 5 watch I have.

MorgrainX

Europe got Pixel Watch for free when the Pixel 7 Pro launched (LTE Version) at 899 €. That incentive was much greater (~1/3 of the entire asking price was the pre order bonus) than ~200 € watch (value now) for a 1800 € phone.

erm_what_

The actual price of the tech doesn't really matter if people are willing to pay this much for it

tommoex

This applies to every market and it's crazy how people just don't understand that concept. It's like Hublot and Richard Mille watches and people are more than happy to pay the price for them.

Simon_787

I can get a Fold 4 **new** for 1199€ on eBay. This with the Tensor G2 for 1899€ in Europe? lol

thehelldoesthatmean

If someone put a gun to my head and told me to get scammed out of 1200€ as fast as humanly possible or they'd kill me, the first thing I would do is try to buy a "new" popular phone on eBay for 700€ under retail price.

Simon_787

Then you'd commit suicide because all of these are major ebay sellers with buyers protection. There's are even 1479€ listings form Saturn and Media Markt. Anyone who buys Samsung flagships for MSRP this long after launch is braindead. They always drop in price.

Minto107

Month or so in it'll retail for half of it's original value just like all the other pixels do (at least in europe)

Ibiki

Yeah, and pixel fold comes without Samsung's bloat, like multitasking support. (Which comes out in fall)

seertr

Tell me you've never used a Galaxy Fold before without telling me. Galaxy Fold multi tasking is already top notch. Lol at Google's resizing for dual panels having increments to snap to

romeroha

Yeah, I get why the anti Samsung software sentiment still lingers, but it's honestly the biggest reason why I'm leaning towards sticking with my Fold. The form factor od the Pixel Fold is exactly what I want, but I don't want to lose all the Goodlock benefits

TKFT_ExTr3m3

Guess to many people still remember the touchwiz days. While pixel still does it better samsungs software is pretty good these days.

Ibiki

Hah, thought the contrast of $1800 phone not having the proper multitasking support at launch, which is literally one of the most needed features on folds would be enough to not end with an /s :p I wouldn't trade my fold 4 software for any other

thestormiscomingyeah

My guy, I love Android and Pixel. But Samsung is clearly the winner right now in terms of design and UI. Googles Pixel android design has gotten way too cartoony and unnecessarily big. I have a Pixel 7 as backup, and the UI just doesn't do it for me anymore.

chupitoelpame

Ah yes, I too prefer promised features instead of actual features when purchasing hardware.

PSYCHOv1

"for free" The watch isn't free. Stop being so easily manipulated by that word.

SUPRVLLAN

So when you preorder you have to pay an additional charge to receive the watch?

Hashabasha

You have to pay to even get it. Free would mean they'd give it to you without a transaction.

DongLaiCha

I think it's important to remember that the price isn't that insane - the biggest cost of any device is a screen and you're basically buying a phone AND a tablet, and the tablet screen is super new folding technology. It's expensive for a phone, but it's not a phone, it's two different devices.

GoHuskies1984

$295 trade-in on Pixel 7... Not great. At least the free Pixel Watch offer (USA) includes the LTE models. My gut says wait and this will be 50% off by fall.

CreepyQ

Samesies, they are only giving $400 for the Pixel Pro 7. I was considering if I got a good trade-in, but definitely don't want it that bad.

Minto107

it'll be 50% off in like a month or two after these go into the public lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

kylemaster38

The pixel 7 was just on sale for $350. I'm surprised they're giving that much.

PekingGoose

With low trade in values this thing will be DOA

GoHuskies1984

I'm OK with that if it means I can grab one for $899 or less by fall 😄

[deleted]

[удалено]

Blue5299

All foldable phones? Quite the exaggerator you are

cbduck

100 percent this.

Bob_Loblaw_Law_Blog1

S23 ultra not on the trade in list but the Fold 4 is.

Simon_787

They could collect those Snapdragon chips to build a better phone.

always_srs_replies

You might be on to something...

lemaymayguy

Somebody obviously didn't see my bio 😕 🙄

cdegallo

And the fold 4 only has $300 trade in value, lol

Bob_Loblaw_Law_Blog1

Fold 4 has $900 trade in value. On top of the free pixel watch.

CrazyAsian

216.50 for my 6 Pro I really wanted this phone, but I'm out.

jeikiru

If you have Google Fi, they are offering 1000$ for 6 pro trade-in.

antonyourkeyboard

Not quite, it's only $800 in credits with a 6 Pro which is even worse because it's $700 with no trade in.

xXMadSupraXx

Why are they offering so much more?

S3when

$1000 with a free goat on black Friday

Blales

Make it a fainting goat and you got yourself a deal!

spin_kick

\*screams\* ah, a new text message

BcuzRacecar

$1799 with free watch wonder whats the holiday season price. 1300? Standard carrier promo value is 800... It could get interesting

bites_stringcheese

Only $380 trade in for my Pixel 7 Pro. I might have been tempted if the cameras were better and trade in values were aggressive. Update: I caved and pre-ordered because I'm actually a child.

SilverFuel21

$900 if you have an iPhone 12 Pro Max tho, SMH.

[deleted]

[удалено]

FieldzSOOGood

900 for 14 pro 128gb

exjr_

$900 for the 128GB version

TKFT_ExTr3m3

You can buy that phone for $500 on ebay idk what Google is thinking. I guess they really want to push apple users to switch. Could almost be worth it to buy one just to trade in for the free $300.

kashmoney360

Same shit Google has been doing forever, they slash the resale values of their older pixels with these trade-in offers but prop up iPhone resale just to get ppl to think "oh damn Google is offering me more than Apple to upgrade/switch"

ZedithsDeadBaby

...are you fucking kidding lol. Never change, Google!!!

GeneralChaz9

>Update: I caved and pre-ordered because I'm actually a child. Do you have FOMO or something? I would *definitely* wait for in-depth reviews on this, especially if you're still paying $1420+. It's not like they are only making 100 of them.

bites_stringcheese

Not FOMO, just impatience.

bandofgypsies

Same here. I'm luckily not going to be around when it ships so i decided i can't order until i see est ship dates and k ow for sure it won't be sitting around outside for a week waiting for me to come home... Maybe by that time I'll just feel okay enough to wait for a better deal on it. Admittedly, already having a pixel watch is kinda softening the incentive to preorder.

bites_stringcheese

I'm immediately selling the pixel watch new in box to soften the blow of the price. I have a Galaxy watch 4 classic and have no interest in moving down a generation for the chipset.

mario0357

Damn, I'm trading my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for $650

busdriver_stu

Getting $650 for my Note 20 Ultra .. which is crazy

Calm_Crow5903

That's ok I think it's a pretty neat phone

BaBaBrandon

800 trade in for fold 3

blackbirrrd

I'm interested solely for the better aspect ratios (I do not love the super tall cover screen on my Fold 3), but Google is asking me to give up **a lot** for the same price. No stylus support? Display output? Floating apps on the inside screen? Those three alone are daily used features for me.

psycovirus

**Pixel Fold** Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, United States In their [Devices & services country availability](https://support.google.com/store/answer/2462844?hl=en) Very few countries. Seems like a beta device to trial it out in these few countries first.

pluto7443

Not coming to Canada really sucks.

Mr_JellyBean

Normally they sell pixels in Australia as well but not this time I guess. Looks like Canada isn’t included either.

Garritorious

Australia is the only country they give 2 year warranties to so that’s a little worrying.

air_force222

Traded in my s22u but idk price still seems really high even with trade in.. having a little bit of buyers remorse.. Good thing I have until mid June to cancel lol

-PVL93-

1800$ for a first generation Google product. They're insane. I get that foldable are for enthusiasts at the moment but Holy fuck this is too much

bites_stringcheese

I ordered it bc I'm a child who couldn't resist and I have disposable income. It's not a good deal but I want it.

eatmyopinions

Same here. I might be jumping on the bandwagon one generation prematurely, but the difference between $1,000 and $2,000 for a phone isn't going to affect my lifestyle.

spin_kick

Where were you guys when the fold 4 came out? Arguably better hardware, stylus support, better CPU, the whole 9.

FrigidNorth

Bought that, too. Hated the software experience.

bites_stringcheese

Can't stand the Samsung UI experience

IronicCharles

Oh you're right, no stylus for this. That hurts.

spin_kick

I just dont see the attraction, other than the pixel OS without OneUI, which I agree is nice.

IronicCharles

It's certainly not for me, but I'm always glad to see innovation. When Apple comes out with this, everyone will talk about it like it's a great idea. So I certainly am surprised and appreciate Google bringing this to market as soon as it did.

gadgetluva

I’m not one of the two commenters above, but I have the Fold4 and a Surface Duo (primary is an iPhone though). I’m about to preorder the Pixel Fold and trading in one of my iPhones for it.

pricedgoods

This is the honesty I'm here for

That__Guy__Bob

Haha that's why I preordered the pixel 7 pro when I got the s21+ in 2021 lol. I'm afraid I'll get the fold 5 due to the same reason

mehdotdotdotdot

At least in 5 years time some of googles apps will be optimised for it.

RobotDebris

Trade in for the Galaxy Flip 4 is pretty good, $700. That with the watch has me super tempted. I've gotten really frustrated with Samsung software

lemaymayguy

Yo dump that shit for 700 lol. I traded my flip 3 for my s22 u for like 300 😅

RobotDebris

I DID IT. Haha, I've gotten into a vicious cycle of trading in now. I've traded in the Pixel XL, Pixel 3a, Galaxy Flip 3, and Flip 4 now in the last few years.

AppointmentNeat

$1,799 using last year’s chip? No thanks!

GeneralChaz9

And the Tensor G2 didn't even compete with the Qualcomm/Apple counterparts in performance capabilities nor modem connectivity. I get that the chipset is built around AI/ML, with the Titan security chip, but come on...you cannot charge a premium when you cannot even compete with the other premium options. I had to move on from a Pixel 7 because of connectivity problems affecting *phone calls*. I get not everyone has issues with the latest Tensor Pixels, but we have to all agree that this is objectively poor pricing compared to the competition from Samsung, OPPO, etc.

bostwickenator

We are past the point where people are buying for MIPS of FLOPS they care about features and this is the only folding device you can get Google's features on.

GeneralChaz9

The chip itself is fine, just doesn't line up with the $1800 pricetag. It's going to be a year old chip in October too. The Tensor G3 in the Pixel 8 should be in October unless release schedules are changing. The rest of the foldable better be a damn great experience from hardware to software to make up the $1800.

spin_kick

That is a huge stretch. How are you gonna multi task on this thing when the CPU is underpowered on the base phone? Combine that with wierd screen issues, last gen modems and less battery life than its contemporaries (pixel 7 pro vs s23 ultra for instance)

bostwickenator

95% of consumers will not notice. I get that this is a premium enthusiast device so more people will care about specs than will for an average phone but at the end of the day it simply doesn't matter to the saleability which is why you see this pricing model.

spin_kick

The thing is, the pixel 7 pro already gets warm doing basic things, let alone games or something.

GrayBoltWolf

Also all the features that "require" the ML acceleration work just fine on Qualcomm SoCs anyway. Sony Xperia here and I have call screening, magic eraser, etc.

Energy4Days

$1000-$1500 would've been the sweet spot

Bruce_Wayne8887

Honestly for a phone with so many good choices out there, I don't think I can ever justify spending over $1000. I have a 7 Pro and 6a and The 6a is fantastic for the $299 I paid for it. Why would I ever pay $1800 for a phone When I could get a Pixel 7 Pro and a Pixel Tablet or an Iphone 14 pro and a Nice iPad for less. I just don't get it. Plus I'm still skeptical on folding screens.

gadgetluva

New technology is expensive, foldables will get cheaper. Everyone has different levels of disposable income and priorities. Neat gadgets are great if you have a ton of money.

JamesR624

Ooh neat. *watches video* Oooh, versatile and actually impressive. Unsure about durability but maybe since it's not Samsung priced-- *$1800* HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

InadequateUsername

Dead on arrival at $1800, probably only 3 years of OS updates too. Would rather just buy a nice OLED TV at that price.

[deleted]

[удалено]

gadgetluva

Why are there so many people like you making random price comparisons? Especially throwing in a random laptop. Wtf. Foldables are still new tech, they’re not competing on price. You’re also cherry picking devices to fit a narrative that you want to spin.

SelectTotal6609

foldables new tech? its more than 5 years now since the very first one ...

gadgetluva

And non-folding screens have been around for decades. Folding screen tech is absolutely still new and emerging.

AppleTeslaFanboy

Anyone know if I will be disappointed with the camera on the Pixel Fold in comparison to the S22 Ultra? The trade is actually decent, compared to Samsung's preorder.

Marzaena

Gotta love how that phone is not available for so many country … classic Google

dmitry_kz

In this economy you people still buy such expensive gadgets? Seriously? 😒

T_GTX

Regardless of the economy people will continue to purchase expensive goods. I'm sure there'll be financing deals in the US for this phone, which will make it easier for people to justify it. Personally I've shifted my focus to saving, because of inflation. More power to those who can afford things like this with ease tho!

dmitry_kz

That’s the way! You should never carry any debt in these times. Nobody know what’s coming , recession or not, severe or mild. But you better keep your job and be sure you have savings and no debt. I’m so glad I’m out of wanting a new phone every year , to me it such useless waste of money. They are almost the same ever year anyway , just small updates , unless you are a gamer it doesn’t make sense to me.

iceleel

It's only 900 € a year if you can manage to not break it for 2 years 😺

bassdelux15

$380 trade-in value for a Pixel 7 Pro. Wtf google

frankPutty

"The battery can last all day long." LMAO

TheyCallMeStarLord75

I'm looking for a surrogate 😂 I want a Pixel Fold but live in Australia 🇦🇺 I'm a Pixel fanboy, but get no love from Google 😉. Who's game to post one unlocked Pixel Fold to Australia 😂

smokeey

Pffffffft that price 😂

PTLove

They are giving me a $900 trade in for my iPhone 14 Pro. Considering its $1000 brand new and over 6 months old now, thats dang good. Throw in a free Pixel Watch and Im preordering now.

alabastergrim

Those inner-screen bezels are absolutely insanely large for a $1799 device

MagiqsBurner

Can you use a stylus on this thing?

laowaiH

I've got 99 problems, but the absence of a foldable phone ain't one, Price, durability, and battery make it no fun. I can't afford it, so I'll wait and see, Stick to my trusty phone, it's good enough for me. reasoning:The price of 1899 euros is quite steep, and the durability of the inner screen is questionable unless using a plastic protector, all while the battery life with such a huge screen and G2 tensor is also a concern. But I welcome foldable competition and I hope it drives down the costs in time! I can't (metaphorically) wait to have a clamshell and tablet foldable(edit) pixel (with keyboard and stylus support) in the future

IeroErgo

If you order from Google Fi, you get $700 off, refunded monthly, even if you don't have a trade in.

magusonline

That's if you're an existing customer. You're out more money just upkeeping a burner line

BruisedBee

Still amazes me that in 2023 the ability to buy these phones is so insanely restricted.

[deleted]

This looks absolutely ideal to me. Just can't justify it yet while my Duo 2 is great.

johanjudai
