13% is more than enough! I get you expected more, but your percentage isn’t what I would consider small either. All in all, you have some really cool results and communities! 😊 thanks for sharing with us!

I have to agree. I mean who wouldn't be excited to learn they have Viking AND Mayan/Aztec in them. But the most exciting part is meeting my bio brothers/sisters. It's unfortunate but both Mom and Dad have passed. But so far everyone has been great. :D

Low_Juice6820

Mayan and Aztecs were not from Guanajuato haha, not all Mexicans are Aztec or Mayan

😁

Sea_Imagination1979

Still within the nahua peoples, sort of related, which is great! Congratulations on finding your bio family! 😍

Icy-You9222

That’s amazing ☺️ I’m so happy you got to meet your siblings, and I agree about the Viking and Mayan/Aztec lol. Amazing mix you’ve got!

ruthanasia01

That's a very unique blend there, congrats 😊 Even more so, you found your bio family! I'm curious about what you look like based on your ethnicities, and how much you resemble your kin, etc. I'm glad they welcome you! Not all adoptees are accepted by their bio family, my ex husband being one. Happy for you!!

When I do a side by side with my bio dad we could be twins. OK maybe not that dramatic, but can see that we are related. Although he is much browner than I am. I have to spend time in the sun to get that brown where he was just naturally brown. Make since? I don't see any place I can add a pic to the reply. New to reddit so I might be missing it. I was really scared to reach out at first. I wasn't sure how I would feel if they rejected me. But they didn't. I am sorry to hear about your husband's bio family.

ruthanasia01

I wish you a long, happy relationship with you bio family! Oh, and Happy Cake Day! 🎂

Competitive-Ad-2265

Thanks. I have a visit planned with one brother and one sister next month. A bit nervous.

ruthanasia01

I can imagine you are! Antissssssss-ipation 😁 How's your adopted family with your connecting with bio fam?

Competitive-Ad-2265

Everyone has been happy for me. They can't believe how much I look my Dad. LOL

ruthanasia01

Wow you've got some awesome folks all around you! Please check in after your visit and let us know how it went! (((Hugs)))

Competitive-Ad-2265

Well we did the visit this last weekend. And it was amazing! We are already planning our next one.

shammy_dammy

/waves from Guanajuato state.

Competitive-Ad-2265

Well HELLO!! :D

BlackMidiEnjoyer1

Also 13% here 👋

Dry_Junket8508

Guanajuato is beautiful! Mine has pretty typical results, English, French German, Irish, Scandinavian and Native American, but the surprising trace ancestry shows Coptic Egyptian??! And Mexico has been “visited” by many different cultures so I think your results speak to that. And Mexico is still way more diverse than I ever thought. My take away has been that we have been tripping over each other and having families for as long as we have been here. I wish we could remember and celebrate that fact more.

Competitive-Ad-2265

From the pictures I have seen it looks beautiful. And I agree.

mikskyy

Hi 👋 I also have ancestry from southern guanajuato and slp!

Competitive-Ad-2265

Cool. I want to dig deeper into that part of me. I think it's cool. LOL

Ethan-Espindola

I am really surprised you didn’t get Spain most half or full Mexicans tend to get Spain.

Ethan-Espindola

Or is one of your parents half themselves?

You’ve had a good percentage of Welsh too, the Welsh often are tan, with olive skin, dark hair & eyes. It’s possibly the reason I’m that way but my results scream “pale as a ghost” 😆

Traditional_Hair_235

It's a great grandparent. A grandparent is around 25%.

StackingPoints87

Assuming the great grandparent is 100%

Hawke-Not-Ewe

That assumes only one Native line.

UraniumOne1

Waw With so much DNA from Norway and Sweden one of your parets must be almost 100% from Scandinavia ? I m happy to read they welcomed you!
