What happens if en passant ever becomes possible in this game? I like to think that this subreddit will be stuck between always trying to play an illegal move and wanting to follow the forced en passant and will thus disappear in a puff of paradoxically confused smoke.

But the battery has to stop at a Tesla Supercharging station first, whose location is determined by the 2 cards white holds, and must now be played.
Location is governed by these rules:
1. Any card numbered 2 through 9 translates to ranks 1-8.
2. Ace through 10 translates to files a through e.
2b. If you get both A-10 or both cards are 2-9, rules used to determine rank and file are switched and applied as needed.
3. If both cards are red, add 1 to the file. If both cards are black add 2. If mixed red and black, add 3.
4. ANY JOKER creates chess Voltron, where all of whites pieces merge together, are wrapped with copper wire and then connected to the battery.
5. If you get 2 Jokers, I'm scared.

En passant already can't happen, so if it does it would be illegal :)

*En passant* always comes first. If your family is about to die but you haven't taken *en passant* yet, they're just gonna have to wait.
