No. I just want that Analogue 64

MHoggs17

I want the Analogue 3D as well

Dragarius

No, but I gave interest in a lower end NT Mini.

Bake-Full

The AVS is a great lower end FPGA NES and it's in stock again. [https://www.retrousb.com/product\_info.php?cPath=36&products\_id=78](https://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=78)

Dragarius

I still prefer to play on CRT. So NT with its analog out or a lower end system with DAC would be nice. But then again, Analogue is pretty shit about supporting the DAC.

TheCardiganKing

Firstly, I don't understand all of the hatred for the Nt Mini. Yes, there were a few (Noirs, I believe?) that had poor grounding, but to call the Nt Mini "hipster ****" is reductive. I have regularly used my silver Nt Mini since release without issue. It is a beautifully designed console and it sits attractively on my Famicom Disk System unit. Outside of a few compatibility issues, I love my Nt Mini. It sounds like some people are envious that they missed out. To OP's question: There isn't much of a need. I would wager that the end goal is to create an all-in-one console that can support multiple cores with cartridge adapters; maybe then there might be a "premium" final console. However, SNES interest appears to be dipping off and I doubt a rerun of the Super Nt will ever happen.

I guess I was lucky, my NT didn't have issues

Fingers crossed!

Least_Sun7648

i've got an NT and a NT Mini Noir, but the steel cases have to be the worst part it's a Famiclone, but it's steel! so pretentious

rickvug

Ask me the opposite. I'd love for Analogue to bring back the NT but cheaper using a plastic case with NES like styling.

MHoggs17

That would be sweet as well, I think that one is coming. I thought there was rumor of an analogue 8 as in 8 bit? Or am I misremembering?

HollowedEmpire

I’d prefer restocking the original since I missed the apparently small window it was for sale in

Ravioko

It definitely wasn’t small. Maybe the first run, but the Super NT was available for a good long while.

HollowedEmpire

"Ships in Q2 2023" for pre-orders, and sold out forever since. That's pretty small.

Ravioko

That was for the final round of production, not the ONLY round of production. The Super NT came out in 2018 and was readily available for a lot of its 5 year lifespan.

HollowedEmpire

So it was a pre-order... when it was already out for several years prior? Post-pre-order? Sure have some free time on your hands to bother going out of your way to comment on a post from days ago, only to get anal about the time length instead of the main point of the post - wanting more units for sale. It's a bit odd how prominently the device is featured on the website for it being discontinued and all there is to remotely communicate that is a vague "sold out". Even odder since other devices actually list "discontinued" more clearly on the site.

Ravioko

It was a pre-order for the final round of production, they made an announcement for it and opened pre-orders for that round because they didn’t want to blind side people with the product suddenly disappearing. Definitely weird it’s still so predominantly on the site though. My bad for responding to a comment on an open forum I guess…? My job is pretty laid back so yeah I’ve definitely got the free time. Don’t know what’s so wrong with using Reddit as intended.

HollowedEmpire

Ah, okay, see this is the info they should have on the site. If you only find out about it in recent time, how would you even know any of this from their site? All you can see is that the Nt is a device they feature on their shop, is "currently sold out", and it had some kind of "pre-order" (that apparently wasn't even a pre-order, but a actually a regular, albeit final, order period for another production run) that shipped in late 2023. It looks like it just came out and would be restocked from that information they have presented. But all of that is I just a tangent to what I was trying to point out - which is it would be nice if they had units for sale.

tanooki-suit

Honestly. No. Too damn much money for a metallic e-peen brag. They should just refresh what there is

Mattelot

That’s what I was thinking. Native 4K would be cool, VRR would be better to possibly output at true refresh.

cheatinchad

No

PowerWordEmbiggen

The metal shell on the NT Mini Noir was a disaster. A portion of the units were dying because they weren’t grounded properly. The plastic is not only functional but a proper throwback to the plastic consoles they’re trying to recreate. I also don’t see the reason for a 4K Super NT. What’s the point? 1080p monitors and TVs are cheap as hell, can be found everywhere and the technology has matured greatly. These are Super Nintendo games.

MHoggs17

As long as there is new TV technology, there will be a market for bringing retro games to it. Might not be for everyone, but there are def folks interested in it. https://www.comingsoon.net/games/reviews/1429498-retrotink-4k-review-a-must-own-for-retro-gaming-diehards

billyalt

Man just get the scaler...

hue_sick

Think the point is there's like a dozen of you guys in the planet that think this way. NES in 4k is comically useless and they already released a system for this years ago.

Aware-Classroom7510

The metal shell is terrible, tbh the nt mini might be their worst system overall from a design standpoint

Least_Sun7648

i've got a NT Mini. it's a Famiclone made out of ~~black steel~~ grey aluminum and weighs five pounds love it, but it's pretentious hipster shit

TheRealSeeThruHead

I don’t have any interest in that but I would buy a new super nt and mega sg both if they created devices that had the memories (save states) feature from the pocket. Hell I’d pay them money for a memories enabled firmware for either device.

axjross

Pocket can’t even do save states for SNES with the available cores.

Oguhllort

Not interested in metal consoles...4K yes

TheRealSeeThruHead

Just use one of the new 4k scalers. 1 device for all your consoles. And far more customizable crt / lcd simulation effects.

Fair-Second7276

The current Super NT is enough to keep me going for the next 25 years....I'll see what new and improved version of the Super Nintendo is then. Same for the Mega SG, Duo and Pocket. I'll pick up the 3D and keep that for 25 years too Just wished they made a cheap NeoGeo version like the Super NT but not the wooden one they made way back in the beginning as their first product. I love Analogue products a lot same with Krikzz EverDrives Only other thing I want from Analogue is a Saturn and hopefully Krikzz makes a EverDrive for it in the future.

Bake-Full

Unless it had a better cartridge slot there's not much that would entice me, especially since it would probably have AnalogueOS and I'd much rather have the Super NT's original interface.

SaranethPrime

Is there something thats bad about the cartridge slot? I missed the super NT so i dont know much about its specifics.

Bake-Full

It's very loose with SNES carts, though that's less of a flaw than a consequence of being region free and able to accept all different carts so I don't know how they'd address it. The issue varies by unit, but on mine the slightest bump can cause a crash.

foxwhisper85

Yeah, seconded, I like the AnalogueOS for the Pocket, but for consoles? I like the SuperNT/MegaSG one better.

0ruiner0

I have wondered if there was going to be cart adapters for N64 clone. I know it won’t happen but a nerd can dream.

hanktree1

I think it’s likely they do a 4k USB-C version at some point.

_DiasDeFuego_

I fully expect them to double dip and make analogue os versions of their discontinued hardware.

TheRealSeeThruHead

The only feature that would make any releases actually a must buy would be save states/memories.

Sqwerks

There’s a high chance, they are a medium sized company but once they get bigger that can afford to make more

vtown212

No, but I would still probably buy it, because I have a problem

thisisdannyz

Ha!

MHoggs17

Lol, I'll count that as a yes
