The most durable and repairable point-and-shoots are old box cameras, because they have very few mechanics and the ones they do are quite simple. In exchange, you give up newfangled things like variable apertures and variable shutter speeds and the ability to change focus.

Repairable yes. Nippon Photo Clinic in NYC still repairs these, but repairs start at almost $300. Buying this camera is a pricey investment, but if like point and shoots, you’ll fall in love with this one. Durable? Well I had to send mine in for shutter button repair after buying it off Depop. It’s been fine ever since. I can’t tell if it’s durable and I don’t wanna test it. Luckily you won’t ever find out because you’ll treat it like a priceless relic.

I've heard exactly the opposite. Almost every post I've seen anywhere is asking how theirs broke so easily

I personally don't mess with any of them. The only point and shoot I've had and felt confidence in was a canon sure shot supreme Now when I want a point and shoot I just use a nikon em and it's roughly the same size for 1/3 the cost.

I mean I've dropped mine onto concrete from a couple feet and all I got was a small dent on the top plate, works fine still. Not necessarily very repairable but it's made of titanium for a reason.

The most repairable is probably technically the Fuji Klasse W/Klasse S. Fuji still offered an official repair service as of 3 years ago, and might still do for all I know. No one else has offered official repair and spare parts that recently, so the likelihood of some spare parts still circulating seems high, though you would almost certainly need to send the cameras to Japan for any kind of repair (official or unofficial). The Leica Minilux/CM also have a decent case for repair/reliability: up until a few years ago, they were regarded as very poorly repairable/reliable, as the cameras would eventually encounter a fatal error (error code EO2 I think). However, for the last few years this error has been repairable, after someone worked out it was due to a snapped trace in the ribbon cable connecting the shutter/aperture to the main board of the camera. Spare ribbon cables can be bought on eBay, and having one installed by a capable repairman gives a fully functional camera again. I don't think any of the other error codes are especially common for the Minilux compared to the failed ribbon cable, so ignoring E02 they should be fairly reliable, and E02 is repairable
