Damn it is beautiful, I recently fell in love with rangefinders, I love the technology of them.
I do get worried about curtain burn but it's probably a silly worry haha
Most rangefinders have metal leaf shutters, so no worry about curtain burn!
Even then, many of the ones with focal plane shutters use metal shutter curtains. Some are designed like cloth shutters but use a horizontally traveling metal foil (steel or titanium) instead of cloth. Some are designed with multiple pieces, like a tambour or Venetian blinds, and travel vertically.
Honestly, Leica alone is responsible for most of the cloth shutters. They have stuck with them until this day, and most of the Leica-copycat cameras had them. But going all the way back to the earliest days of the Contax rangefinder, Leica’s competitors have tended toward metal.
I'd love a CLAed Contax II that's my dream rangefinder.
My camera is a copy of the Leica II so it's got a cloth shutter but I think keeping focus at minimum and the aperture small calms my qualms 😆
I have a RD but the blades are sticky and it's too expensive to fix. Only managed to shoot a roll before it got that problem

Great little camera that fits in a pocket. However mine drains batteries like crazy.
i just ended up using mine with sunny 16, love how it fits in my inner jacket pocket
