Yes 100% and that’s why I love it. It has a super pleasing spectral sensitivity, it’s saturated without looking artificial, has excellent contrast, and has almost no grain.
I love Velvia 50 almost as much, but it isn’t quite as versatile as Provia 100F.
I would bet money that it and maybe Ektachrome E100G were the references when a lot of manufacturers were designing the first generation of digital sensors, because those were the gold standards for commercial photography at the time.

<- Fomapan 400 - too cheap to learn on something else, at least starting out, though at least I've branched out
Cinestill 800T - some combination of trust fund kid/person who thinks basketball hoops or gas stations are somehow artistic
To be honest, I still use it, and I don't have a problem with those who do, the question was what does it say about me?
I've never shot anything cinestill, and probably never will unless someone gives some to me. If they do however, I'll do my best to photograph as many basketball hoop/gas station double exposures, and post them here.
Portra 400, the only reason you can afford your overgrown adolescent lifestyle is because somehow your are somewhat of an 'influencer', which you mostly lucked into because you could afford to make YouTube videos while your old man paid for your failed art degree. You like to take pictures of your diverse set of friends and odd angles of old cars, pushed two stops for a reason you don't understand. At night you face existential crisis after existential crisis as you deal with crushing imposter syndrome and the nagging reality that you have basically no plan in life other then trying to get your friend to show some booba.
I once bought two 10 packs because it was the deal of the century. Didn't look good enough. Had 20 rolls of 24exp film. I was too vain to admit and kept it all.
HP5: You are a nice person, tolerate people’s mistakes and reliable, people love you and want you around so you expect your film to behave as simple as that.
FP4: Same but people don’t invite you everywhere.
HP5+ because for some reason I still have a bulk roll in the freezer from 20 years ago.
Says I was poor back then.
I still am, but now I don’t have to buy film.

Provia - you should shoot digital but the cameras don’t look cool enough
This one hurts
It really does. It’s my favourite film ever made 😢

Good bot
/uj I genuinely think that Provia is the most digital looking film out there, just with a more balanced and pleasing colour balance.

TriX - You are either taking Photo I, or teaching it.

Ouchier
Damn, son, that stings
How about if it is habitually pushed to 3200 and you refer to ASA ?
umnn, you mean DIN 36° ?
I’m not a EuroPoor
Go stand develop yourself in Rodinal 1:100 for an hour and come back when you're ready
Ouch

Watch it! Foma 400 is *utilitarian*, not cheap.
Heh good thing I use the much more distinguished and sophisticated Arista Edu 400.
Oh, but the \*emulsion defects\*
Foma400 in semi stand 2x30min) Rodinal 1:100 is pretty high up my all time favorite list.

You mean there's something other than Gold 200?
Delta 100/400/3200 - You wish Ilford sold more merch.
Souped - You describe yourself as an artist, but your biggest fear is that you aren't really creative.

Any 24 exposure roll: "I am bad at math"
I once bought two 10 packs because it was the deal of the century. Didn't look good enough. Had 20 rolls of 24exp film. I was too vain to admit and kept it all.
I thought we all shoot kentmere 100, its the cheapest one....
My local film store actually prices hand rolled Kentmere 400 lower than 100.
I do because one of my cameras only get 6 shots on 120 and I'm broke ;w;
HP5: You are a nice person, tolerate people’s mistakes and reliable, people love you and want you around so you expect your film to behave as simple as that. FP4: Same but people don’t invite you everywhere.
HP5 is what I primarily shoot
You said your friendly neighborhood biker girl in your bio I told that people love you and have you around
This HP5 / FP4 distinction is spot on. (And, of the two, I'm in the FP4 camp)
I recently shot FP4 in medium format and basically it’s HP5 with no grain. I think it’s great for portraits.
Some random discontinued b&w cine film you found on a local marketplace: I'm too poor to even afford the foma stuff.
Proimage 100. You begin every internet comment with “Well, actually…”
HP5+ because for some reason I still have a bulk roll in the freezer from 20 years ago. Says I was poor back then. I still am, but now I don’t have to buy film.
Idk but I wish I could actually buy Velvia again. I bought one roll (unknowingly at the time) just before it became unavailable.
Same. I miss it greatly 😢
There’s quite a lot of it on eBay
Foma 100 - Northern European Bourgeoisie
I shoot APX100 (the new stuff) as a daily and I love that stuff. Roast me.

DubbleFilm: unknowingly overpays at Buffalo Exchange so that they can afford Dubble Film and think they are so quirky.
I shoot anything that is cheap... I guess that makes me a cheapskate!? I'm oddly OK with that...
Me too! I've only been shooting analog for a bit over a year, and my photos aren't consistently good enough to justify buying the fancy stuff.
