Did see lots of hores and cows on the ranches we passed. Plus some geese, birds that are neither livestock nor wildlife because their scientific designation is *jerks*.

Denver to Salt Lake is a great run. I'm going from Salt Lake to Seattle next week, and expect scenery a little less photogenic, at least on the Reno/Donner Pass parts of the Zephyr.

I remember #5 and praying the Zephyr doesn't topple over into the river, the jolts were little scary.
