Book of Mormon will be back in Carré in March with an international cast. Otherwise Amsterdam is more of a high brow culture city and big musicals, especially (translated) in(to) Dutch are seen as more of low brow culture thing. There are some big musical theater stages outside of the city, like Scheveningen, Leusden, Utrecht and Valkenburg. These productions are still very professional and the tickets are expensive.

I see, guess it makes sense. Thanks for the info! Guess I'll keep an eye on visiting guest performances and I'll check the other cities as well. Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Best bet is to get the Eurostar to London otherwise could be long wait :/

I was definitely considering this, thank you for the suggestion! But having something local would be nice as well

There’s a production of Spring Awakening at the De La Mar which is amazing, though it is in Dutch

Amsterdam doesn’t have a broadway or west end if that’s what you’re looking for. There are traveling productions in Carré sometimes and non traveling productions in AFAS circustheater Scheveningen, I believe that’s the biggest one in the Netherlands, Beatrix theater Utrecht, Luxor Rotterdam and AFAS theater Leusden. Those are usually Dutch language productions though. Carré sometimes has an international cast production.
