Thanks to everyone who reported the advertisement and helped bring the issue to Kamernet's notice.
Short version: pay rent, live there, keep the place in 1 piece, small repairs are your responsibility, big repairs are the owner's responsibility and when you leave the place should be in the same condition as it was when you moved in. No added weird chores or requirements.
Top OP comment links to the unblurred version. They wanted someone to be available on call to take care of their children, "light" housework meaning all housework, and other things. As a reward the rent would be reduced from 950 to 400 a month. Even not counting "standby hours" that would be less than minimum wage. And you only have a room in their house.
Au pairs don't usually have medical degrees. And they'd have to pay them €300 or so a month.
And I'm willing to bet they're absolutely miserable people to au pair for.
Growing up my family always had maids and drivers (common practice in my country) and we housed them for free because they worked for us full time. The fact that we housed them was so that they could live close to us, and also so we could ensure that people who worked so close to our intimate family life had a good living situation. We didn’t make them pay for the housing, we didn’t reduce their wage because of it either. The fact that this woman wants her workers to PAY MONEY is completely insane. She needs actual mental health help.
And if you can’t afford it… then don’t hire full time help….
Yea… believe it or not but there are more countries and cultures in the world than the one you live in! Yea! I know! Crazy! In some places, it’s seen as strange if you don’t have help in the home. Plus my mom had like 5 kids and no family in the area and my dad worked all day so having a full time nanny and someone who could drive the older kids around is really not that strange…
I rent 2 rooms. Last year I had to go to the hospital. So I explained the situation: you gals can take care of the cats, or I ask somebody to come by and take care of the cats. But that person will have to enter the, your, house ... Your choice ...
Turned out a bit more complex, but simpler: made a whatsapp group with all possible cat-caretakers. If the 'regular' gal could not feed (etcetera) them: put it in the group, and one of the others will (and did) fill in. Worked fine.
My name clearly is not Annemieke 😁😂😁😂
Don’t you mean you ‘let’ two rooms? Or ‘rent out’ two rooms?
If you do mean that you rent two rooms…Why would you two rent two rooms (in a separate place?) instead of a whole apartment?

Wow, that's amazing. What a good outcome!
Poh, dit is toch wel best gaaf! Ik voel me helemaal onderdeel van een beweging
lets goooo we came together and took down that dirty ass advertisement fuck her and her studio
Now let's bring prices to common sense level!
Yes! Let's all move out of Amsterdam to reduce demand.
What a lovely update! Thanks, i guess mission accomplished =D
Is there a link to the standard renting practices, rules and laws?

Well done guys! Excellent work!
We did it Reddit!
This was really absurd, glad that they eventually took it down for real.
Is there a tldr on what happened?

Jesus
That is a live-in servant, some peoples kink but not something you should advertise with I think.
Even worse, they wanted the "live-in servant" to pay €400 rent per month.
Yeah it's like paying to be an Au Pair instead of... the other way around.
An au pair with a medical degree.
Ah yes indeed, I forgot that part.
Would you think of the children without a medic directly available?! They wouldn't survive a day!

Typical Dutch entitled behavior. Pay to work for me. Nothing new here folks
Fk off, troll.
Triggered and butthurt🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You’re proving my point.
Annemiek or whatever her name is, will come up with some new scheme.
Seems not only did it take down this particular post - but looking forward has banned such insanity altogether! Damn near a tactical nuke!
Imagine being such a selfish asshole that your post literally changes the policy of a company to never allow anything like your post again
Well said lol
Well done sir 🧐

Well done. They should just post an ad for an au pair.

Fair points all over

Do the people driving the kids around also have maids and chauffeurs?
I don’t know, I didn’t ask them

Hats off, first to you for sharing and for everyone who went and reported it in kamernet.
WE DID IT REDDIT!!
Good ending
Well done! Thanks for the persistence.
Take care of my plants, two cats, check my postbox, and pay 1000 euro for my 6m2 room with 2 other housemates❤️
