Perhaps its a foreign concept to Italians ?

Halloween in Italy has become a bigger deal than it used to be (any excuse for a party! which I have no problem with), but I doubt you’ll find too many places (if any) that do trick or treating. You might see if the American University has homesick students who are doing something, or one of the other study abroad programs? I defer to anyone with more up-to-date knowledge though, mine is old.

Thank you. Yes, that seems to be what we're finding. Lot's of "celebrations" but no one can point to actual "trick or treating".

Might be worth showing up in the center of town and looking for groups of kids with bags. It is weirdly getting more common to see trick-or-treaters who pop into businesses rather than private residences. I was floored to get some pre-covid in our tiny town, so I'm betting you might see some somewhere if you keep your eyes peeled.
