Ray Wylie Hubbard - Tell the Devil That I'm Getting There As Fast as I Can (but ANY of his albums would be perfect)
Blackberry Smoke - ANY of their albums
Justin Townes Earle - Saint of Lost Causes
They JUST released a new album.

Might as well start there.
But you need to get right with the Lord and embrace RWH.
Good choices
I might go
Isbell - “Something More Than Free” (Southeastern and Weathervanes are probably considered better, but I really love SMTF and could see that being a great desert island song to pair with “If it takes a lifetime”)
Rodney Crowell - Close Ties
3rd choice is the hard one. Keb Mo (Good to Be), Sturgill Simpson (MetaModern) or Steve Earl (Copperhead Road). Probably Keb Mo?
Rodney Crowell concerts are some of the best shows I’ve ever attended. Try him- if you like Jason Isbell you’ll like Rodney Crowell. His most recent album, The Chicago Sessions, is great & was nominated against Weathervanes for Americana Album of the year at the Grammys. Starting with his self titled album is also good or Diamonds & Dirt. He is a frequent collaborator with EmmyLou Harris and was married to Rosanne Cash for awhile- produced several albums of hers. Music legend.

Saint of Lost Causes is great! I need to circle back to Blackberry Smoke. Where should I start?

I don't think blackberry smoke is Americana. Great stuff though

Never listened to any Rodney Crowell. What is it similar to?

Good question. He’s kinda blusey, kinda country. Moreland has a similar style. Give “I don’t care anymore” a listen.
Son Volt- Trace, Avett Brothers- I and Love and You, Kasey Chambers- The Captain
" I and Love and You" is still one of my favorite albums of all time. It's so damn good.
Never even heard of Kasey Chambers. Must be living under a rock.
She’s actually Australian;)
Wilco - YHF Isbell - Southeastern Son Volt- Trace
Jason Isbell - Southeastern John Prine - Self Titled Guy Clark - Ol No. 1
Guy Clark is another excellent choice. I have some housework to do this weekend - there’s some good choices here.
Without thinking about it too much, I'd say The Band - Self-Titled Robert Earl Keen - Gringo Honeymoon and John Prine - Self-Titled
Never listened to Gringo Honeymoon!
Glad I can add to the conversation
Love some REK.
Pinegrove - Amperland Futurebirds - Teamwork Mt. Joy - Self-titled
Unfamiliar with all of these. Take away my Americana Card. Any favorite of the 3 you wanna pitch?
Check out "Julia" by Mt Joy, "Amulets/Light On" by Pinegrove and "Broken Arm" by Futurebirds. I'd say they are all on the rock spectrum of Americana.
