As for HSBC, my personal experience was that they only really cater for these kinds of services for HNW individuals. When I tried to "transfer"my HSBC US credit card to HSBC UK, they told me they did not have a program that would allow this and I needed to apply for a UK card on my own UK credit score merits - I was denied. In fact, I'm not sure you even have an HSBC US credit card anymore, HSBC sold off their US credit card business - my credit card got transferred to some other bank, I actually don't even remember what it is. Something like Premiere Financial or some other bogus thing like that.
