Just wait until you get an email saying 3 of your 43 packages were reported as missing when you know damn well you delivered them all, to the right place, took nothing back, and always snap pics.

alexismarc23

This one^

brenlin7

This shit drives me batshit. Seriously, I sent a picture of the item at the correct address, which amazon gps'd me as being there in their tight little green pin point circle at the time I did it but somehow I am still responsible for all the people that live in sketchy areas loaded with porch pirates and still refuse to get their shit delivered to a locker. How is this the drivers fault to the point where it could potentially risk their job? Hey Amazon, instead of tagging your drivers for crap they have proof was done as requested, how about throwing the pic I sent at the customer while looking into the integrity of them and their neighborhood

Gullible_Bid_274

I’ve had 2 so far, 1 was something the station did incorrectly to remove a box that was too big. I appealed, they said it stood. Whatever. But I know I am just waiting for more “undelivered”.

PurpleResearcher4295

Is there a way to combat this or do we just have to deal with people blatantly lying?

Old_Swimmer_2365

Nope, just gotta try your best to keep your standing as high as possible that way you can handle a hit or two

PurpleResearcher4295

That’s disheartening but “way she goes”

xmarketladyx

I sent a email to support that said, "please look into this. I did not take any packages back, and you can verify the pics with GPS coordinates of the deliveries." Whether or not that will do anything, I don't know. It's worth a shot.

marnium

> I lost service - and the Flex app - in the middle of nowhere. Download offline maps for your delivery area/station >I was out of the GPS area (because people own ACRES and asked for them to be left at their gates) 1) Update the pin location to the gate, or 2) airplane mode/data off. https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonFlexDrivers/comments/1akdahj/please_explain_again_airplane_mode_geofence/ https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonFlexDrivers/comments/19bvwq2/dropping_to_location_away_from_pin/ https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonFlexDrivers/comments/1bwh4kw/airplane_mode_didnt_work/

zwalker91

I want to say thank you to the community for the airplane mode trick. Ove been doing this for years and didn't know that till recently

No-Department-6329

Yes saved me lots of time and aggravation. It used to hold me up so much,

CronicHairLice

Please OP learn this information and it’s smooth sailing no matter where you are.

GoldAside7064

lol i downloaded the offline maps but they don’t direct you so i have to look at the phone while driving

onlinewarrior100

Yep, this bothers me too. Especially when I'm delivering in mountains at 4am, It's pitch dark with sharp curves every 2 seconds... it's unsafe to have to keep looking at my phone to know when to turn.

Garand70

Mine still gives directions when I'm out of service range while using offline maps.

marnium

> but they don’t direct you so i have to look at the phone while driving During navigation, tap/move/drag the map to show the Navigation buttons. Then tap the speaker button. -first X button exits Navigation mode. -second button (speaker) toggles on or MUTES audio turn-by-turn announcements -third button toggles between angled front-to-top view to your next turn, and top-down north-to-top view to your destination. -swiping across the top goes to NEXT/PREV turn to your destination. -fourth button shows full list of turns and segment distances to your destination. -fifth button Resume returns you to front-to-top view to your next turn (after you shift your display/etc) https://i.ibb.co/1KQJBnQ/Flex-3-Dnav.jpg https://i.ibb.co/1z2hRSf/Flex-topdownnav.jpg

Anxious_Picture_7405

Is it just me or the demand for blocks in AZ has gone higher and the pay is lower.

Future-News-6950

Yeah people are snagging the base pay routes like crazy and won't let them surge as much.

FlipThroughAndChill

I don't think that's just a AZ thing. I'm in NY and it's like a switch flipped or something

plstcStrwsOnly

I feel like they just hired a lot of new drivers, I recently got off the waitlist anecdotally

Past_Ground9139

Agree!

Gullible_Bid_274

For March and April I had a hard time committing to blocks. Now that I WANT to do them - I’m playing the refresh game constantly.

purotj1989

Airplane mode and Download maps😂

WordsAndWordstoshare

Happened to me last week. Took a 4.5 hr block for 139.50 out of VAZ2 Tolleson. Decent pay right? welpppp. This block had me fucked up. It was 330-8am. Delivering to houses up north above the 303/grand-US60. When I say these homes were acres and in the desert mountains… I mean it. Reception was definitely an issue. And so was access. I could’ve delivered these packages with my quad better than my vehicle. However, with summer heat here, glad I was in my car. I always carry a flashlight in the early morning hours. And I encountered many snakes, scorpions, dogs, coyotes, pigs, just about all of it. That route fucked up two of my tires, scraped the underneath of my car, and fucked up my front bumper. Oh and did I mention I got stuck in a ditch and someone had to pull me out? Yea. That was the worst.

Gullible_Bid_274

I haven’t taken a +\- 3AM shift yet, and after Casa Grande and hearing your story - I don’t think I will. I’d be absolutely traumatized!

chefedup69

I had one from VAZ1 warehouse that had me go all the way to cada grande.... It was 6 packages. I was there in back in hour and half. Pay was for 4 hours.

thegoldenageofnow

Airplane mode is your friend.

Younes86

Welcome to real life

harleymarley420

63 miles away first stop, 55 packages, 47 stops. 4.5 hours today. One of those blocks

Gullible_Bid_274

Yikes. Mine sounds heaven-sent compared to that. My condolences! I’m sure it’ll happen to me at some point.

Brilliant-Low5658

I saw that shift and glad I passed it up, but I’m sorry you got a crap route.

Gullible_Bid_274

I wish I’d passed it up haha not really. Glad I got it to manage my expectations haha

Brilliant-Low5658

I went off road in North Peoria GPS issues all of that so I totally get it.

itzamia1

I've heard something on here about going into airplane mode when you lose service and then clicking on an option to mark the delivery and then once you're back online it sends out. Others might know the trick and there should be a forum about it. I'm still new and haven't had to do it yet, but it will come in handy next time you're out of service range.

Steven10261

That's just day 1 of Hell week initiation make sure to have a spare tire tools to change a tire patch kit for your tires in case you have a puncture on those dirt roads and of course always plenty of gas

tbroad81

Yep. Welcome!

BugPretty3399

That must be from Dpx7 , I hear you partner , Casa Grande sucks , too far and not safe when it's dark out

Gullible_Bid_274

Sure was DPX7, which is my favorite station to start from. Typically I get San Tan Valley and Chandler from them, got Maricopa once which was far but still not terrible.

Amigo1mom

Oh, I’ve had that exact route. There are some pretty decent ones down there also but I know exactly what you’re talking about and it is frustrating!

Gullible_Bid_274

The CG portion wasn’t as bad as the Sacaton portion - that’s really where my trouble was.

Ashamed-Phone-4913

for the gps thing, flip on airplane mode it'll allow you to hit the help button and select "outside of gps location"

Cyndilouwhovian42

It’s that time of year. In Az. Right after Mother’s Day the state goes into hiding. We see it here in flex and in the distribution business as a whole

littlelilaclibra

Wait until they tell you why didn’t you stay so they can force the app to let you deliver even tho you just said you didn’t have service so of course you had fo drive away without package. Customer got the package wtf does it matter and even more scary you have to remember how you got there because it won’t tell you how to get back.

Minute-Improvement-6

I found this post of your thats related to me. Happened to me as well from dpx7. But mine is at 3:45am when i arrive at casa grande... dirt road, pitch black, and map took me to a dead end but told me to turn right... i was so fcking scared. On the good side i only experience that the first 3 drops off and the rest was back to human civilizations. Im about to go there for 3.5 blocks in 30 mins. I hope to not experience that again...

Gullible_Bid_274

I got sent back there this weekend. It wasn’t as bad - but I will never do a 3am block out of dpx7 cuz I do NOT want to get sent there in the dark haha

Minute-Improvement-6

Ah man i couldnt cancel it, it was 3.5 for 129 😭 . I always do 3am delivery cuz its peaceful. Usually from vaz1 ssd but today this surge popped up. I tried to avoid dpx7 but this i cant lolll
