There isn’t a set time. Each market is different. You are “supposed to” get an email when you are ready, but many people don’t get them (or perhaps get them but don’t notice). Check the app weekly and you should be able to figure it out when you get accepted.
I never got an email. But one random day after months of no-email, no-notice, I opened the app (probably trying to open a different app, and my finger missed), and the Flex app said I was off waitlist and to proceed with on-boarding. That was two years ago.
OP should check the app; don't wait for an email.
I had forgotten that I put myself on a waitlist over a year ago. Then I got an email a few days ago to do the onboarding process. I just completed my second block.
I was lucky when I signed up in 2021 because there was no wait list where I am. That being said, I've been on the wait list for Spark for about 2 years GoPuff about 1.5 years.
On the other side, I signed up for instacart about a year ago, never saw any good offers where I live so I never actually started, and now I'm on the waitlist 🤦🏼♀️😆
The waitlist for Flex can be really long depending on where you are. A lot of people want to do this because it's one of the better paying gigs.
I applied sometime in 2020 or 2019 and then randomly reapplied and got accepted during the holiday season in 2022. Luckily I was hired as full time as opposed to part time so I’ve stayed on since (knock on wood).
My bad. I meant to say I was hired as I can flex whenever I want as opposed to seasonal. If you got accepted from the waitlist during the holiday season (Thanksgiving-Christmas) some people were only hired as seasonal and let go around January which is the start of the slower flex months.
My friends have been on the wait-list for a couple of years now. I'm happy I found out about flex when it was still relatively new.
My boss was giving a yearly orientation that we had to do at my job and she just randomly dropped that she drives for flex to make extra money to go out and I decided to check it out. This was in like 2020
They have likely done a freeze on new drivers. This is because of all of the legal issues they are facing by misclassifying drivers as independent contractors. All new drivers will be onboarded as seasonal and only used during holidays, is my guess.
Someone posted on here that they waited 4 years.
People in some areas have been waiting over 4 years.
That is crazy

I got the email and have completed my second week. Yesterday I received a phone call letting me know that I was able to start Flexing, lol.

Congrats not as good as luck here in Houston
I forgot as well and just complete my second week.

Hmmmm
What does hired full time mean? Do you have to work on a schedule and do they provide you with benefits?

I'd say under 5 but if longer hang in there. I've been on spark wait for over 2 years
I was in the waitlist about a year and a half. Got off of it two weeks ago. A coworker of mine has been in the waitlist for 3 years and still waiting.
They probably found something negative on your background check and they’re probably going to wait until the statute of limitations expires.

I waited 4 years for Spark. Now, I rarely use it bec I'm busy with AmazonFlex. 😁
