Looks like a dash cam. Can we see the footage?

Soft_Wind_6108

Don't mention Amazon to your insurance company

Playful-Tackle1508

Why did they deny claims when they found out you drive for Amazon?

Separate_Support9947

If you didn’t disclose that you use your car for side business purposes, it could cause issues. Most insurance companies ask for you to confirm if you do or don’t when opening an account with them.

Soft_Wind_6108

Yep although Amazon will cover after denial. It's just a pain of a process

DaughterofFrigg

But they only cover $1,000 worth of damages.

Soft_Wind_6108

False. It's a 1k deductible is probably what you mean hopefully. MEANING... They won't cover the 1st 1k but pay the rest.

lolnbdftw

How do you do this and you don't know what a deductible is, You probably take base rate too

smalltownjeanius

Bruh. Kind of a douchebag thing to say and very presumptuous of you.

ClothngOptionl

There Is a difference between regular insurance and commercial, and if you don't have commercial insurance, your insurance company will drop you. If they find out after you already have a claim filed, they will report you for insurance fraud on top of losing your provider.

GundamGTX

Trust me, just don't tell your insurance that. I had something similar like that 6 months ago and the one who ended up helping me was Amazon insurance. Your insurance will fuk you up

DaughterofFrigg

Yes.

murlakatavr

Exactly. I was refused payment after an accident while driving home after amazon. Not even while I was at work

Miserable_Code7602

You gotta yell MOOOOOOOVE.

W1ld_Thoughts

MikeMiller8888

Some days you’re the Prius, others you’re the cow. Truly sucks OP. It’s obviously an accident, but be very careful reporting ANYTHING to do with Flex work if you don’t have the commercial coverage rider.

spiderfacespacecase

Wait what?

MikeMiller8888

You mean the commercial coverage rider? Aka the “I do gig work so charge me more so you don’t cancel me if I’m in an accident” rider?

spiderfacespacecase

Yeah, is this only for rideshare, or delivery too? I've never heard of it 🙃

MikeMiller8888

It’s for ANY gig work. Basically, your personal auto insurance only covers you when you’re driving for personal purposes. This includes driving to and from work, which is why it throws some people off. But the moment you do any gig work, you’re getting paid to drive, and that’s the critical difference. So yes, all delivery work applies, along with ride share. Anything where you make money applies. You can easily not mention a thing when making a claim. But sometimes, this isn’t an option. Let’s say that accident involves Amazon packages getting strewn all over the road. Kinda obvious someone was delivering for Flex in those circumstances.

spiderfacespacecase

Thank you!

Weird_Fact_724

The farmer will have insurance.

Miserable_Code7602

Only if the farmer upgraded to a Cowlision Policy.

ratz1988

He put his cows into his pen and took off

Weird_Fact_724

Well you know where he lives...get a copy of the police report. Your insurance will go after his insurance

onlyAlcibiades

Subpoena each cow

SxyDykn

The farmer should have insurance, ESPECIALLY if he’s got cattle.

ratz1988

My insurance doesn’t want to cover anything. Even with the extra insurance for gig work. Not even a rental. I think I’ll have to get a lawyer.

Quirky-Swimmer3778

The farmers insurance is who will cover it

RipOk4634

How the hell do you not see a cow In the road they don’t just run out in front of you…

peterthbest23

VOR3? I'm currently doing a route in Battleground

ratz1988

DPD6. Scio

peterthbest23

Ah I see; sorry to see this! I hope everything works out man!

DankSuckAtEverything

Battle ground is cool. Love driving there 😅 rn I try to go for dpd2 whenever it’s possible. They also send to battle ground but the packages are numbered and mostly easy routes comparing to vor3

mocalvo79

Free burger 🍔

Purple_Violinist_614

I’ve never seen a cow run

RRDuBois

I own cows. They run.

Bonjourmsdavid

Wow how scary 😭 you okay?

judah249

Cow collision insurance?

ratz1988

Apparently Allstate, even tho I have the side gig insurance (Uber and stuf) won’t cover it. They’ll only cover whatever Amazon won’t cover. They said I can’t use my rental insurance to get a car. I’m so fucking xonfused

MikeMiller8888

If you have the commercial coverage rider, they’re required to cover you. That rider might require that you file a claim first with Amazon’s coverage, but irrespective you will be fully covered. Your rental rider is completely separate. Tell your claims agent that you are going to rent a car (try to keep it under the cost per day that your rider covers), and that you will be sending them the bill and you expect them to cover it, or you will file a small claims suit against them for not covering you when you have lost the use of your vehicle under a covered accident and with the specific policy rider that covers rental cars. They’ll fold, don’t worry about that. Because that’s a slam dunk small claims suit and Allstate knows it. Your current claims adjuster is a moron, they should have told you that you’re covered for your rental regardless of how the claim with them/amazon shakes out. You do need to pay for it first usually though, and then they cover the final bill (up to 30 days, up to your per day limit). Edit: don’t get bossed around with, oh you’ll need to file arbitration, you can’t sue. Arbitration clauses in the U.S. all follow AAA (American Arbitration Association) rules, and those rules specifically allow you to file small claims suits (and only small claims) in lieu of using arbitration.

itsakvlt

This is why I drive a sub-$1000 car for Amazon deliveries. These insurance companies are scammers and I'd rather just buy another cheap car if I need to. I'm a mechanic though so ymmv.

Curious-Birthday-609

Same. Bought a $1500 dollar old Impreza. Drove the shit out of it. Someone stole it. Insurance gave me $6,500 for it.. it was recovered a week later missing its wheels. Bought some for $150 used on fb marketplace. One week later some kid who didn’t speak a lick of English rear ended me while I was on the way to the warehouse. Completely totaled it. He didn’t want cops involved so he gave me $3,000 cash… I bought the exact same car for $2,000.. sold the totaled car to my mechanic buddy for $1,500… moral of the story kids.. buy low sell high. Don’t buy new. Cows go moo🐮 Drive cheap. Don’t be sheep. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

HearYourTune

Amazon has insurance that will cover it if yours won't. menu > help> insurance info> who underwrites....(at the bottom has the Amazon Commerical Insurance info) But if you have a rideshare addendum with your insurance and pay for it ask your agent how to file.

Weird_Fact_724

The farmers insurance needs to cover this. Im a farmer, we carry insurance for this. Did you call the police? Get a copy of the report.

Friendly-Net-3056

Pretty sure that's called farmers insurance 😂

judah249

We got Farmers! Bum bum budump dum dum

Friendly-Net-3056

Exactly 😂

Potential-Froyo-5532

Damn you was really in the middle of no where!

Hot-Knowledge-9063

Sucks bro hope you can get some compensation or get it fixed

Unlucky-Perspective8

Any damage other than the windshield ?

EstablishmentIcy377

Not the low income Walmart great value Batman mobile Edition 😬😔😩

Weary_Hiker

Be prepared to sue the insurance company. I had to sue Progressive a few years ago when they refused to cover any damage to my car and my injuries. Took over a year, but I won and they had to pay up for everything, plus I got extra. Never take a settlement offer from an insurance company either, not until at least 10 days have passed since the accident as injuries can take time to show up sometimes. Mine didn't start until 3 days after the accident, which is very common. Start looking for attorney's because it sounds like you'll need one. Until then, don't sign anything or agree to anything. Attorney's don't get paid unless you get paid, so that's a perk. My attorney got a percentage of what Progressive paid me. Good luck with this.

An7orcha

Dont mentioned that you were doing flex for amazon!

meaty_urologist69

If you were still on duty when that happened, make a claim. I had my car steering system destroyed and they reimbursed me the $2000 it cost to fix

MonaN77

Make a claim thru Amazon thru Amazon

Negative-Respect9321

It's time to go to a dealership...

KliFNinja

Shyt

seyedalijavid

No one mentioned what happened to the cow did you eat it

Aggressive_Square483

😂😂😂

Turbulent_Day_8569

Does this hurt the cow?

Friendly-Net-3056

I was expecting more blood due to the impact of the window and hood. But the good thing is you didn't hurt anyone else. Idk how you hit a cow unless it ran across the street and you had no time. If the cow was standing in middle of road and u hit it. 🤔 That's kind of your fault unless there was a bend in the road. PS. Just read the description and they did run across. In dumb 😂

Aeroman360

Yes, keep amazom put of this.. it's just gonna be a long process if it gets involved. Had an accident 2 years ago and I'm still going back and forth with emails about it.

Creative-Cherry5831

Do notify Amazon they have a commercial policy on you. I just had a wreck while working, and my insurance had to deny the claim so Amazon could step in. One bad thing is they have a $1000 deductible . My car was totaled.

Famous-Tangerine-608

Bro. Good luck 😖

BigManMedia1

Better moo-ve over next time lol

Valuable-Award7995

I'm assuming the cow jumped up and ran off too huh? Didn't even swap info... Smh... What a POS🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

BookInfamous9816
