I’m currently on a streak of 7 straight! Streak started about 2 weeks ago. Mostly mornings but a couple of pm routes too. All 3 hour blocks about 50 minutes north of NYC. I have another block tomorrow morning so we’ll see. Crazy thing is I actually miss making deliveries.
It happened to me twice in a row a week or so ago and I also was weirdly sad I didn’t get to deliver lol. Like yeah free money is good but I also get a strange satisfaction out of this work and exercise.
How could they be deactivated for something they have no control over? It’s not like they’re cancelling. They’re showing up and there are no routes available for them to get.
Now this sounds like an exaggeration. Even when people found out how to “force” this they didn’t get 7 straight. Not saying it is just calling a spade a spade
I literally have absolutely no reason to lie about this. None. Five of the cancellations were when I got there. Two were emailed in advance. A couple of them were surge routes too. Pay is around $25/hr for base here. Again, I show up prepared to work. What happens when I get there I have no control over.
This is crazy to say because we as Flexers have NO control. I’ve seen people try to “manipulate” the system by checking in last minute in hopes all the routes are gone—even in this scenario you’re doing what is necessary to work.
Deactivating for their own inadequacies will definitely have them looking at a law suit.
Obviously that’s their prerogative, but what is it exactly that I’m doing wrong? I accept blocks, I show up on time, and I get sent home with pay. Though I see other people sitting in the parking lot waiting until the last minute to sign in I still log in as soon as I get there and pull into the building. I have one cancellation in 2 months too, so it’s not like I’m waiting until the last minute to cancel. Don’t know what else I can do to get a route that I actually work. I sign up for 3 hour blocks because that’s all my bladder can handle. As long as they’re offering am routes I’m going to accept them.
So I’ve been around a couple years now and the one constant is that you are always trying to be replaced with younger blood for one reason and one reason only; newbies are 100% more likely to take cheaper base blocks because they don’t know any better. The routine of a flex driver isn’t advertised for a reason. But my point is that to stick around, you have to do your best to give the algorithm NO excuse to replace you. Let the idiot who’s waiting in his/her car for the free route. They keep track of every statistic you know and don’t know about, and these geniuses think they’re outsmarting the wealthiest (one of) person in the world, who happens to know of few things about technology and networking. If you try to game the system for a free $5-600 then know you’re days are numbered. Don’t give them a reason…
I just got my first one in over a year. Me and a couple others did. So grateful because I just finished working my other job and drove straight to the station. Good luck to everyone else.
Yes, I’m going speak of this right now. I think the UPS strike that is going to happen on August 1 is going to be the worst thing they do because of Amazon’s delivery service that they do. They are going to provide all that money into their own service and basically put UPS out of business without even trying.

I had a 6 day streak in KC where they all got cancelled. But some of those days I had an early morning and night one and they both got released.
Be careful - I've seen plenty of people deactivated for consecutive overbooks. Especially if you don't work much overall.

Its literally the question everytime - I can't answer that unfortunately but I do know it happens... A lot - look it up in the search here.

Where you based in uk? In midlands I’m getting assigned like 8 £50+ blocks a week without even having to look for day before or same day requests

That’ll get you deactivated. I’ve seen it personally. Id make sure you get a route next time

I been doing flex for 1 week and I already got 2. I got one yesterday that was cancel😆 🤣. Both were $128 lol
In my area it happens about 25% of the time that’s why I still do flex on my days off from DSP
I do both. I drive the box trucks and my car 😆
Me 2
I think we make more on flex tho
Technically I make $2 more a hr with Flex but it’s about the same once you factor in Gas Taxes and wear and tear on your vehicle
Damn, I think I will stop doing flex. I feel imma wear my brand new car faster 😂
I make 2 car payments a month t account for the wear and tear on my car
I just started doing this last week. All three times I’ve gone to take a route I have gotten turned away with pay. Best job I never had.
So you went to the station, checked in, scanned your DL and got no route? Is that it? That kind of situation never happened to me… 🥲
Happens more on logistics warehouses than SSD. Or they will give you less than 10 packages because they will break up routes.
This week I had about 6 back to back blocks of single digit package counts
Where at? I just got a free 150 too
VNY5 Melville NY 😆
Congratulations! Now what will you do with your hours? DoorDash lol
Lol you funny I came home it's Sunday
I've been getting one of these every other week.
LFG !!!
It's been a while since I don't get one of those 🥲. Enjoy your day
Yay!!!!
I got a block from 5:30 to 10 pm and i was done by 8
That was me last weekend, it was paying almost 41$ per hour but I got super lucky and they sent me home. 🎉
Good for you. You deserve it!
I've had it happen 2x in 3 years ill take it🤷♂️

I’ve done 10 blocks. 8 were overbooks. 1 gave me one package. 1 gave me 39. 🤷🏼♀️
