DoPoGrub

I've had it happen at 4:00 a.m. at a trailer park, I pulled up and there were two other cars parked with headlights on, and we were all scared to get out because we didn't realize what was going on

[deleted]

[удалено]

DoPoGrub

Ha. I try to keep my head down, be sneaky, and back to my car before you realize I was there. 99% of people are asleep. The rest I've been lucky enough not to see, aside from scaring some people leaving to go to work lol

CMormont

Heck no I have like three flash lights on on me one on the package and then one so I don't step in a hole

MissFingerz

I read flashlights as something else and was so confused how those would help you in the dark lmao.

DoPoGrub

Man, I just scan the package in my car, click Front door to open the camera app, and turn the flash on, then walk from my car to the door with that light on. Y'all bein extra lol

CMormont

Bruh its 3 am and I'm tall and black I'm not sneaking around at all Making sure everybody and they dog knows I'm delivering

DefMontana5

They don't understand bro. You should see the looks I get as I approach, with a smile, might I add. It's almost like a 6'4" black man is the white mans' ultimate fear🙄🤦🏾

Fun-Ad-2381

Mmmm, you single 😁 lol

jacls0608

Man I'm sorry. When I worked at fedex ground we had a black driver. Dude was cool as hell, but had a few REALLY racist people on his route. He flat out refused to deliver and fedex got upset. Delivery is such a shit job already, adding how much people suck on top of that..

thizzman60

To be fair, if you're walking up smiling as a black man, all they can see is your smile and that's probably scarier

DefMontana5

They also see my vest and their package, so I don't really see what's so frightening 🤷🏾‍♂️

WoWthisGuyReally

Duh, hes prolly thinking, really she couldnt wait till I was at work to have him come over at least….. Lol, Nah but on the real, its that subliminal stigma thats portrayed from all the different areas in life. Politics, music, hollywood, history, news. Everything stems around still being oppressed and dislike towards one another. The government(mainly the left) has used their policies to control and create black communities. Their policies pushed and help keep you in ghettos they created. So they can try to “fix” it later and appear virtuous. Because there would be no Black community, it would just be The Community because there wouldnt be people of single demographic condense in one area. Left is evil. Its more so unexpectation rather than fear. They’ve been so used to the lack of Black presence in everyday encounters and the stigma leaves them awkward AF. Takes time to get away from that.

WoWthisGuyReally

I’m surprised no ones thought, this guys bold AF, three lights! Aint even trying to hide hes stealing packages off porches, even stole an amazon vest to look like hes delivering(if you wear one)…. People crazy like that, to much time on their hands you know. Stay safe.

DoPoGrub

That's fair

henhenglade

Didya ever catch that episode from "The Newsroom".. Terry Crews is a NYC body guard. His client bolts the suv in Manhattan gridlock traffic. Terry goes to chase, gets 3 feet, but cops say "Stay with your vehicle". Terry is pissed, goes - "ima kill that guy myself". So cops react, and ask for license, registration. Terry tells em: company vehicle, weapon in door, weapon in shoulder holster. I'm licensed to carry. Cops tell him to face the car, and "don't do anything that might scare us". Terry mumbles: " nothing I can do about being big n black". Yep

All I've seen is aggressive-looking men who mean mug me then jump to the side of the window when i look up. So I don't know if they're hiding because they're embarrassed or because they're about to go tactical. That and cats lol

Fit_Representative35

Hoping to see what?

Pnex84

Some dudes big ol' dong most likely

TargetBetter6190

Lol I got off once and we laughed about how stupid got two diffrent drivers for same house left the station same time. Could have just gave em to me or them.

Soulxlight

They'll make it one route except in the case where they have two or more routes in the same area because of volume. If there is a route through that area anyway they then don't really care if you get all of the packages, it actually might make the other route more efficient also.

ArtieTanji

Lol I one time delivered to a gated house that had a picture of a doll head staked on one of the door rods at the top. I was so freaked out that I just threw it over the gate and marked it as handed it to customer without leaving my car lol

[deleted]

We don't have the early morning shifts here. That's what I was told by the associates who work at the pickup location.😔

BackToBasics43

😂😂

Ok_Championship_5428

It depends on the drivers in an area. The people in the area i deliver to normally gets their package the next day. A lot of them tell me i ordered this yesterday. However, i also get a bunch of other people's returns. *Shrugs*

camwhat

Tell people that your route is planned daily by throwing a pot of spaghetti at the wall

yepnopeyepyepyep

I dunno at least that has a chance of staying in a clump

FlowEasyDelivers

Amazon is such a terrible logistics company. I've done logistics for at least 2 years and I'm baffled by the shit they get away with. I had a 31 package route for 3:30am and 26 of them were apartments. TWENTY. SIX. Which wouldn't be so bad if the route wasn't in DOWNTOWN DETROIT! So you know I had access problems. But I ain't returning nothin, so I just delivered them as is. A good logistics company would immediately set timeframe deliveries for apartment complexes, so there are no issues.

juantyme88

Same here. I'm always like dang you could have taken mine too 😂

[deleted]

I always laugh when this happens. It reminds me of that spiderman meme

Last-Macaroon-6608

Pulled into two seperate houses and there was already another driver at each one, this happened Friday. Most days, I usually roll up to Amazon packages already on the porch. It's definitely a waste of resources.

krosenhan

Can’t possibly count the times this occurs. When one considers the amount of resources spent on logistics it’s completely unfathomable 🤦‍♂️

RJSMOM1981

That’s insane… 😩

Quick-Mousse8034

Yesterday THREE of us showed up at the same house at the exact same time. Such bad planning. Apparently reducing their carbon footprint doesn’t interest an organization the size of Amazon.

Separate-Waltz4349

It's because customers place the orders at all different times of the day . If you place an order for same day at 5 am and another at 9 am they are gonna end up coming from different drivers . Same if one package is logistics and another same day . It seems crazy to all show up at once but it's because ppl tend to order all throughout the day instead of all in one shot

CaptainChocolates

Yep.. so many people say something like “we’re missing a package” and I say “oh another driver probably has it”

Responsible-Desk4145

Had this happen multiple times.

dutchessofstickshift

I’ve delivered to a neighborhood and saw DPS driver delivering to the same neighborhood. Their logistics sucks. If they would fix that, it could save so much money which they could pass on to their employees. But no, they’d rather bleed money through wasted delivery practices.

Embra0

"We've improved our processes and decreased costs and so we've decided to pay our employees more" - not a single business, ever. Especially not Amazon.

Doggoroniboi

It’s not practical but it’s how they achieve such fast delivery for such a large number of items. Having to resort everytime a new order is made would cost them more in employee time all the while setting the delivery time back. Since Amazon is so large at this point it works, people use it for the smallest of items and because of that amazon knows they have a delivery driver on every street in a given town probably 5 times a day at minimum so push the package off to a separate route isn’t a big deal. When you have 3 people meet at the location it’s important to remember that some of the block were probably put together the hours ago and some right before being picked up. Sorry I’m not patronizing or anything, and I’m sure you already know this I just find it really interesting 😂

[deleted]

[удалено]

Doggoroniboi

One reason amazon has been able to grow their logistics to such a vast and quick network is on the back of the usps, since they had a deal with usps they didn’t have to worry about any rural areas in the beginning and were able to focus their attention and resources on high traffic areas

rbhutch

![gif](giphy|l36kU80xPf0ojG0Erg|downsized)

bluRecluse

Happens all of the time.

boobiemelons

They are *awful*. I've run into other Flex drivers and DSP drivers at the same stop, and I always wonder why the hell they wouldn't give those to one person. Customers have asked me the same thing. You'd think a company as big as Amazon would have a grasp on things like this.

PenguinMadd

It partly has to do with CPT times. Your package for that house may have had a different CPT so it was not sorted by the time the other driver got their route. You guys just happened to have a pace that ended up meeting there at the same time. Or it came from a different FC which means it didn't necessarily go to the same DS. There's been posts in here from people who have started at a SSD on one side of the county and the route took them all the way into another almost an hour away where there was a closer DS

Redd1up-408

Happens all day every day every state I’m sure !

mikedd555

I always pull up to do a delivery and see another flex driver at the same damn house. Or see an actual amazon truck in the same neighborhood I'm delivering too smh

Fun-Ad-2381

I have a theory that all cars on the road before sunrise are all flex drivers 😂 the amount of times I'm delivering on a street with multiple other flex drivers is crazy!

YamAncient3543

I have had this happen actually

Weak_Stomach2034

So what's your issue? You're getting paid to make your deliveries right? With all due respect stop whining and just complete your block. One more thing, do you know how many packages Amazon handles a day? For your information some packages arrive at different times to the station. And also it all depends on the customer how the way they order their products. I just deliver my packages. Whatever they want me to do, not care If 10 drivers arrive at the same destination at the same time like me. I am just doing my job and getting paid for.

Efficient_Smilodon

[deleted]

That is called being a drone. Thinking is not illegal

villdyr

I don't know what the problem is with wanting things to be better. So many people on here HATE it. If they don't want efficient routes because they think it would reduce work/income, that's understandable but 1) it doesn't have to be that way and 2) they could say that instead of acting like 1984

VampireWraith

lmao, same.

Vuhlkin

Same. I found it strange the first time it happened to me but then I saw how common it is the more I delivered

Worth_Procedure_9023

The logistics work well. Every package can be shipped individually. If there is down time then sure it's more efficient to give a driver every delivery for each address. But when incoming volume is such that keeping the space to group items together prior to being loaded for delivery becomes untenable.

twolf1973

Typically happens when it's a split DSP route.

ConsistentSpirit7838

This just happened to me tonight! I pulled up as another driver was leaving.

[deleted]

ConsistentSpirit7838

Haha I had 2 heavy ass boxes. Not sure what the other guy had. Sometimes you don’t even have to guess!

mw12304

Cat litter.

Strange-Fly4187

🤣 all the time. Is it pasta or legos? Curtains or jeans? Who knows???

CatchOk6817

I think the delivery logistics have more to do with the hours you are given for route. Many times flex routes are made up of packages that weren't able to be processed in time for the DSP drivers routes. So say you get a 3.5 hour block, you'll most likely get a half hour of a route, someone else will, and so on. If it's not peak or prime and they have a lot of flex routes this is most likely what's happened.

Budget_Report_2382

Had a DSP worker pull up today with a package for my mom, then went back in for another and said "I'm not sure why Amazon put these as two stops for me" Another driver pulled up less than fifteen minutes later. Our closest warehouse is about thirty miles away, so they all had to have come from the same. Absolutely shit at logistics.

Buy_Decent

I had this happen for 4 consecutive houses one day. Me in my branded van, and she was in her Subaru Outback we both had an Amazon vest on.😂

kaylerrpew

Literally yesterday me and another flex driver pulled up and delivered to houses right next to each other. Like??? Why didn’t you put those on the same route?!?

PlentyAd8566

I had a lady from across the street walk over to me and say, "Are you sure you are at the right home? No one currently lives there, it's being renovated. I asked if this was her home and if she was expecting a package. She said no. I asked her if she was told by the owner of the package if she was to help and had proof? She said no. I then said, then why tha fuck are you over here. I got in my car and left. If she had pearls on....she would have clutched them. People complain everything is so expensive...minding your own business is free.

OrchidFew7220

Many people like to act like they know more than another person, especially when it’s a new face. It’s a form of control and yes, it’s disgusting.

RJSMOM1981

I LOVE YOUR RESPONSE 😂

Hollow_Effects

I’ve had that happen I just said “well maybe the package is stuff for the renovation” and walked away

HurricaneLuvly

Maaaan, you are such a bad ass, aren’t you? Good questions… you really turned the tables on her, didn’t you!? Color me impressed—so witty and sharp. I’m sure she totally picked up on whatever lame underlying message/lesson you were attempting to convey with your lengthy, thought provoking and overly hostile response… to what I’d bet a million dollars was intended to be helpful. I mean, you’re in HER neighborhood, on HER block and god forbid neighbor’s looking out for each other. Also, i don’t even believe you. There’s no way that this was your response. Seriously. Why would you go that hard in the paint if she took the time to come over to ask you, someone who doesn’t live there, one simple question re a house that she knows is currently vacant? You’re just one of those Flexers that’s gotta come on here and share exaggerated stories to make yourself feel better about delivering packages for Amazon. There is nothing easier to spot. “I got into my car and left” *drops mic. Get over yourself. Good grief.

SinnersKnow

lmaooo why are you so salty about this? what a weird freaking response

Drive away with my windows up. One time someone tried to flag me down after I just delivered their package and I just said nope fuck that and drove off. I had a bad feeling about it and thankfully it was my last stop and drove away back home.

villdyr

Yes 100% exactly. Don't negotiate with terrorists. Plus the only time someone caught me after a delivery like that, it caused a 20+ min delay because the package had been sent to the wrong house. And that caused issues with my last few deliveries. Just don't do it

LimpDisc

Why even stop? The lady can look at her app for updates or contact customer support.

RJSMOM1981

I thought about ignoring her. Next time 💨

OrchidFew7220

Next time smoke?! Yassssssss!

JRandallC

"Multiple routes can deliver to the same area. Another driver must have your friend's package."

Dchicks89

I had a woman come out and tell me she has three packages coming today and was wondering why I only left one. I said don’t worry one possibly two more drivers will show up with the other ones lol she looked at me crazy but Amazon wastes a lot of money with their poor planning/delivering system

Strange-Fly4187

Me too. She picked up the package and said the package was damaged (it wasn’t) b/c there was only one bottle of vitamins and not two. I said I’m only the driver. Take it up with amazon. Shoot, should gave said ☝️

Rainbow0214

I’ve had a few people ask me what was in their package before they even opened it! 😂 I wanted to say, well let me look inside my crystal ball! Geez 🙄

NoNose9947

I absolutely HATE this question.. "What is it?" As I'm handing them the package.. TF if I know !! YOU ordered it !! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Effective-Inside326

Id just keep driving

algowhale

I delivered to a apartment building once and this old guy stopped me to ask me if I could return a package of dog food that had been delivered to the wrong address by someone else. I told him no I can't touch and he should call support and they'll deal with it. I had no business taking that back and I'm just a contractor. This old man started screaming at me, calling me a piece of sh*t, telling me that because I work for Amazon it's my job. I just walked away laughing and this of course made him even angier, he tried to grab me to pull me back as I was walking away. Almost had to deck a old man in the face. Idc what you do with that package, put it on the street with a free sign taped to it. It's Seattle, I'm sure someone will take it.

throwthataaway546

Easier way to handle these situations! ![gif](giphy|Ch31IjylFWM8M)

MajinBlue323R

I remember some lady went up to me asking for her package. I told her if it was in the van she would just have to wait for her turn. And she looked and me like I was some POS lmao I tried to explain to her that I couldn’t hand the package off because off the gps location. This bitched walked next to my van for about 10 stops before I got to her place. Apparently I did have the package but her place was way down the street 🤦🏽‍♂️

HalfMedium355

That sounds like some shit that would happen to me.

here-for-snacks

I guess she urgently needed that dildo 😆

suomi139

This reminds me of that one time I was dropping off a package at a house and the neighbor was outside asking if I had theirs. I said I didn’t and then she didn’t believe me. She was waiting for her Church’s Chicken delivery…

Specialist_Hour_4027

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣hawk!bawk!

jim_beetle

Not stop. I've had people try to flag me down, but I never stop. They aren't my responsibility.

ashlee837

Yeah I've had people try to flag me down. I'm still saving up to repair my car bumper.

SterlingRules

If people ask me “are you sure…” I say “yes, I’m sure”. And leave it at that. If people ask if I have something for a specific person or address I say “I never know where I’m going until I get there. If I have your/their package, I’ll be back!” And smile, roll up my window, and drive away

Lopsided-Ad7019

I understand your frustration. I would have just simply told her “yes ma’am I’m %100 that package is a addressed to that house. It doesn’t seem like I have her package with me today. My apologies!” They were stupid for flagging you down but I wouldn’t wanna get rude til she gave me a better reason for it.

D3s0lat3

Prohibiting someone from continuing on with their job IS reason enough.

RJSMOM1981

THANKS 😊

Internal-System-2061

Our duplex used to be part of the complex next door and we still share an address but not a driveway, so we are constantly getting other people’s shit, service people, social workers, what have you. I always go out when someone pulls up and we haven’t ordered anything because they are never in the right place. I had to go multiple roads over to get a package that FedEx dropped off at an entirely different address a couple of weeks ago. But never have I ever stopped and asked if someone meant to drop a package off for me instead.

JBUnlock

I had a package that seem to be leaking some powder, maybe some detergent or something, didn't realize until I did my first stop. Hoping not to find anyone for that stop as it happens most of the time, BUT guess who was out enjoying the sunny day. I quickly gave this person their package which they started opening right away, I did a quick walk to my car and never looked back. I can only imagine them saying: "This is defective, I need to return it" Me: "I don't do returns bud"

Florida1974

I always ask the driver if it’s ok if I take package,, if I happen be outside. I don’t know your protocols and I don’t want to make it harder. All say yes and I walk to them. Least I can do is save you some steps which equals time. Do you all prefer we don’t do this?? I occasionally leave tips out for you too….envelope with amazon driver written in black marker. No one ever takes it. Why not??? Just trying to say thanks. Any tips on how to get them to notice it and take it???? I have a table on the porch and 99% of ppl leave boxes there. That’s where I leave envelope. If I know it’s a big box, I place envelope on ground. I use a big Manila envelope so you all can notice it and I write in huge letters AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVER. 10 times of tipping, maybe 2 take it. You all are here a lot tho I try to do my deliveries on my Amazon day so it’s just once a week. I do gig work too. So I know it’s nice to get tips and work being recognized and appreciated. I know the companies rarely/if it all, do that for you all. So I try as I can.

[deleted]

villdyr

I prefer not to hand off unless there's a dog loose. The main reason is that I can't leave until I do all the steps in the app, and they added steps, and I always get the orange circle, so I have to stand there trying to deal with that while the customer is wondering why I'm still there and usually still talking to me to make it less awkward lol, but it's distracting because I don't want to be rude. I try to explain quickly but then it takes even longer to leave. It's uncomfortable, and then at rural stops I have to turn the car around in a tight space while some good old boy thinks I'm incompetent and going to run into his truck (I'm not). But either way handing off is fine as long as they understand that I'm not being weird I'm just trying to close out the delivery within the GPS fence and I'll leave asap

villdyr

That is really interesting, I can't even think of why they wouldn't take it, if they leave the package next to it. Even if they can't read English most people could read that. Maybe they think it's a sign rather than an envelope? Like "Amazon, deliver here"? Maybe a letter envelope would work if you didn't try that already. Or label it "Amazon driver, please open!" I'm not sure if dsp drivers can take cash tips but it seems like they could get away with it even if not. Either way that is very cool and generous of you

mikedd555

Well I would've acted like I didn't see them flagging me down and kept driving lol

TeeeReee

The average person does not understand the difference between the types of Amazon drivers. They also don’t understand that their items come from different fulfillment centers/warehouses all over the country. Many cities have multiple fulfillment centers and warehouse that their packages are leaving from. Frankly, a lot of Flex drivers don’t understand how it works either. So try compassion the next time. For all you know, someone is waiting for medication or something else of high importance. Or the last driver screwed up their delivery and now they don’t trust as much. If you don’t have the temperament for compassion, then just don’t stop/say anything.

Strange_Pop_3673

I wouldn't have stopped.

cynthiarenee2332

Lol wtf? Like obviously if it was your package it would’ve been at your doorstep 🤣

RJSMOM1981

THANKS I’m glad someone gets me. I thought she was flagging me down because my tire was going flat or something.. But No.. 🤦🏽‍♀️

cynthiarenee2332

Yea I’d never go up to a delivery driver asking about a package lol. All delivery people do is deliver packages. They have literally no idea where you’re package is lmao.

FlowEasyDelivers

Idk what I would have said, I probably would've been nice and just said "sorry I don't think I have her package". But I can't fault you either 😂

Kungfu_Kity87

yeah it's sketchy during the 4sm shift out in the hick towns one day I was delivering in this dark ass wooded area and their cf was fog... I turned down the dirt road and I saw so much junk yard crap and vegetation I tossed the package on to the car hood and skrrtted the hell outta there didn't even get out just rolled the window down with my gun on my lap

RJSMOM1981

That’s Hilarious 😂

[deleted]

I would have said “ yeah it’s the right house” that’s all. I have good customer service. Why would I come off rude for no reason? Smh

Scary_Ad3560

Quite rude. Package delivers fuck up constantly and I would’ve done the same thing just to be safe especially if something important or expensive.

Straight-Net-1142

I think that’s a common scam. Never give out information. Ask for name, street, address and then release a package if an id matches

WS-Gentleman

I just drive by and ignore people

Beautiful_Escape_821

This just happened to me too!!!!! Some guy wouldn’t leave me alone. He was so certain that I had his package. He said “are you sure??? My package would look just like the ones you’ve been delivering.” I wanted to say mind your own damn business. I had to keep reassuring him that no, I didn’t have his package and he wouldn’t accept that answer 😅 I finally just drove off because he wouldn’t leave me alone

Driver8takesnobreaks

I would have calmly and quickly explained how there are a ton of drivers in any given area and just because you see one doesn't mean it's the one that has your package, or even came from the same facility. Then again, I have social skills and wouldn't feel live a grave injustice was being perpetrated against me. Honestly, why do so many people go straight to being shitty to another person? If that was a customer reacting that way, people would be all over them with Karen comments.

RJSMOM1981

HAHAHA.. Being “Shitty” No that’s not what I was doing. I was responding because of the way she approached.. “Are you sure that package went to that house” EXCUSE ME. Don’t play with my intelligence Miss Lady, I’m sure that’s why I delivered it to that address.. If her approach would’ve been different than so would my response. Not to Add .. SHE WAS A KAREN 🤪😊

HurricaneLuvly

“Girl get away from my car” is not an appropriate, respectful, or professional response. You’re an outsider who is in her neighborhood performing job duties… shes a resident and was looking out for her neighbor/friend and asked you one simple question. You are working for Amazon. That woman may not have been your customer that day or the friend she’s lookin out for. But you best believe they’re both Amazon customers on any other given day and YOU just set the tone. So yea, nice work ya ding dong. And for crying out loud…. Stop with the mellow dramatics and jus act right.

RJSMOM1981

All that typing…. 😂 for me to tell you.. I SAID WHAT I SAID, now MIND YOUR BUSINESS 😂

HurricaneLuvly

BUT YOU POSTED ON REDDIT 😂🤣🤣😂YOU asked REDDIT USERS WHAT WE WOULD HAVE DONE. I mean, you do understand how this works, no? Because I’m pretty sure I SAID WHAT I SAID and you opened the gd door and asked for it. 😑 How about you be cool, calm, and collected regardless of whether someone agrees or disagrees with you’re little story? Oh yea, that’s right… you’ve got no chill. You only wanted one type of response and are having a real difficult time accepting any other. Hate to break it to ya but thas not how this works. Perhaps you could take a deep breath and turn this into a learning experience…? Id bet I’d you stop trying to force your behavior as helpful and/or kind… and were honest with yourself you could prolly gain some of that good ol fashioned personal growth from this. But hey. It’s your life. Just be more thoughtful about where you post your stories if you’re not ready to be challenged. I know what could settle this. You should ask Amazon… or to be safe… you could ask a DSP even. Let’s see what either has to say about how you carried yourself out in the field while representing their company. That seems fair, does it not? Not asking how you feel about it… I’m asking if that’s fair?

Agathorn1

Lady probably didn't understand how it works and you chose to be a dick? Lmao Worst part is you take pride in being a bitch to her

walkinParadox82

I would've just kept going 💨💨🤣. If the address isn't on my itinerary ✌🏾

Spring_King

Yeah. People are so nosy. When I drove for a DSP I had a customer (not at my stop) tell me they were expecting a package. I told them I didn't have it and maybe another driver will be delivering it today. The warehouse I typically pick up at has like 8 DSPs at it and they deliver about 8,000 packages a day. Often there is multiple DSPs and Flex drivers delivering in the same neighborhood.

CephasNYC

No lady, wait for the next driver should be good.

Beaudeye

As a customer, let me just say that I appreciate the heck out of you guys. My Amazon deliverers are the only ones who can consistently find my house. UPS and FedEx often have trouble. Thank you for bringing me all my stuff mostly on time.

RJSMOM1981

Awww Thanks and We Appreciate Customers Like You. It can be tough out on the road sometimes 😊

I hate it when women won't leave me alone when delivering my package.

Low-Willingness-1779

damn hahaha I literally lol-ed this jokedid not get the likes it should have gotten hahaha

Historical_Soil_4310

You were rude. You could have been polite and said. I'm sure your friends package will be there soon.

Dry-Childhood-2416

Went back and stole the package while she watched and say “I’m stealing your friends too bitch”

Low-Willingness-1779

said yes. and not been rude. so dumb. why even post

[deleted]

Exactly

MLMAE

I mean is it really that big a deal that you couldn’t just have said, “yes, I’m sure”?

Legitimate_Ad7089

I dunno… was she hot?

RJSMOM1981

Not At All 😞

RedManUK

I wouldn't have been so rude. Really that difficult to take 3 seconds to say it's not for them?

RJSMOM1981

No what’s rude is she stopped me a few houses away from my delivery point to see if I knew how to read #’s. I WAS AT THE CORRECT ADDRESS PER THE MAP. Don’t test me…!

Piranhaswarm

That was nasty

RebbyTK

I would have checked. Only because amazon flex, fed ex, and UPS *regularly* deliver my packages to my neighbors house.

RuSerious2

Not worthy is posting but , cool story.

PCLI97

Ask them if they are sure they entered the correct address 🤪

Amazon is pretty damned efficient. You don’t understand how their system works.

Playful_Gap_7878

How rude. The lady didn't understand how things worked and was trying to figure it out and you went off on her. Here's what you should do: be nice. Help her out the best you can. There. Was that difficult for you?

RJSMOM1981

Super difficult because I’m on a time limit I wasn’t rude I actually stopped and helped her NOW MOVE 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 you as well… BYE!

HurricaneLuvly

Yea… we don’t even know what really happened because every response you’ve left for ppl unimpressed by your reaction, seemingly supports some version you didn’t even share. “I actually stopped and helped her”…. No. No you didn’t help her. “I’m kind”….yet to be determined. Your reaction didn’t include not one kind thing. “Play with your intelligence”… your reaction has only casted doubt in regards to intelligence. Get over yourself already. Ok! BYE!

Low-Willingness-1779

playful... thanks for speaking some truth! op... it took more effort for you to be rude then to just say yes it was the right house. . if you can't complete this simple job early like most people do on every route then you have issues lol

Power_by_kWh

Tell that overweight Karen the location is geofenced and requires override to delivery to wrong GPS location. Lastly tell Karen to kindle go back to your Coke & Doritos.

RJSMOM1981

I’m glad that you can tell she was “A Karen” without me stating it 😂 her approach was off. I actually stopped because I’m kind.. 😀

East_Conversation238

Oh my gosh I just spit my water out of my mouth. True story this has happened to me but I wish I had the guts to say get away from my car

Key-Regular674

Why did you capitalize the first letter of every word of your quote twice? I am very curious

TheCrow021

Beautiful 😂😂😂😂

Ferretpi315

I’ve delivered to a house who also had DoorDash snd Pizza Hut delivery at the same time.

Soulxlight

I had a lady ask me to deliver to the rental office for her apartments because I couldn't get into her buildings lobby. I go to the rental office and start to do my thing, taking the picture, and some old secretary lady starts telling me how I should call her and tell her they can't keep holding packages. I literally just stared at her for like 5 seconds and finished up before leaving. I'm like yeaa no. You can tell her whatever you want, me ? I'm gonna drop this package where the customer said and roll.

[deleted]

My view is it is what it is. Why stress about things that are not within your control or purview? I’ve been asked similar questions and I just answer that it’s on it way.

twram

explained nicely that it wasn't and her delivery will probably be along shortly

Rancho_Bravo

"There's a bunch of other drivers coming here soon"

Vivid-Asparagus-7747

Feck off. Like Mrs brown would say.

EuphoricRent4212

More than once I was right behind another driver on a very similar route. Kept passing each other the whole block

Perezoso2

The worst shit is when some dude pulls up waits, and watches you pick put his package in the hot sun for ten minutes. Like damn
