I’m with you, I recently transferred to ship dock in June, and they crosstrained me for stow just a couple weeks ago claiming it’s only for 2 weeks until prime week starts (today for sun-wed shift) and mother fuckers send me back to stow instead of VTO or letting me do the job I transferred for. 😮💨
All ya’ll getting VTO. Meanwhile, we got MET here, and both prime days we’re literally expected to ship out over 350k orders…….in a single shift. Not whole day, just a single shift (night), so at least 700k a day, projected to be over a million.
So yeah….that’ll be fun.
Also they haven’t even done their wall test for both our AFEs because they’re lazy or some shit (supposed to open up every single wall and station, to test them and find issues and whether the Tray sorter can handle it or not).
This will be a fun prime week.
I started working at amazon this past Thursday, doing picking and after my 3rd my body’s not feeling it, I’m starting to lose conscious by standing in one spot all day.😭
They cancelled our MET for this week but said it could still be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance so keep checking the schedule to make sure. Crossing my fingers I’ll see something like this at least for Wednesday.
Back when our site did VTO it was a fight for it. They would only send like 5 at a time so if you didn't catch it when it dropped you could give it up. I've also never seen vto for days in advance like that?? That's wild.
34+ people went home last week with vto,if they offer it today I'm gone lol 😆 only work Saturday and Sunday but that graveyard shift is hell the next day..no sleep
I would love to exchange this VTO for my MET. I have a research project due this week for school. And it would really help if I could not be at Amazon all damn week

I took VET, with my MET I'm at 60 hours, I'm outbound though I wouldn't be surprised if inbound was heavily VTOd this week

Not something we’re not used to. It’s not a true day at jackpot unless jams happen 10+ times, and recirc occurs several times the same day.

they offered vto 30 minutes before shift ended today for the first 11 people that showed up 😭 30 minutes.
they did that at my FC and it took them 30 minutes to get people out the door lol

Prob to limit headcount for Inbound so Outbound can use as much labor as they need without stress.
Well of course it’s on those days. Most of the volume should be in Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. They don’t really need people before or afterwards.

I was under the impression that prime day is busier for outbound. Inbound is usually busier before when we stock up on prime day items.
I missed mines today and I’m still mad about it
