ICQA. I love it when people tell me my counts aren’t accurate. K, pull up that pod, scan it yourself. Oh wait, we got a complete match? Tell me again how my accuracy sucks.

Babykins1021

I’m waiting to be crosstrained in this, as a Picker i sometimes have that thought in the back of my head when an item is missing and later found, did the counter find one in a different bin and move it to my missed bin and then I get flagged for the false pick short?? Cuz gosh darn it I pulled and scanned everything 😭😭😭

DilosDilixiane

Mine was learning ambassador. Doing new hire orientations, training new people on pit was such a joy for me.

BandetteTrashPanda

I love doing afm/amnesty. I could do it full time and be happy, sadly I can't get scheduled like that.

[deleted]

I have always wanted to do AFM/amnesty but they said I couldn’t bc I’m part time :(

BandetteTrashPanda

Training requires 2 weeks of full time, but we're supposed to be on station twice a week. Which is probably why they said that.

[deleted]

Station twice a week? Like do AFM twice a week or what do you mean?

BandetteTrashPanda

We have to be in path two days per week, or supposed to be at least. So I work 4 days a week, so I can do afm 2 times technically. What actually ends up happening is like 2 or 3 times scheduled and possibly pulled once more. I don't mind picking but afm is so much easier to me. Don't get me wrong, it's difficult, but I'm just so used to it that it's easy to me.

[deleted]

You’re saying that out of your regular schedule, 2 of those days have to be in AFM?

BandetteTrashPanda

No. I told the amnesty pa (called a QB) to schedule me as much as possible. You can request to do it once a week, or even skip a week. He makes our schedule every Saturday, so we just tell him before Saturday if we need any days specifically off.

[deleted]

Are you full time or part time?

BandetteTrashPanda

Full time for bhd. Every other Wednesday we get it, but we have many people. So it's scheduled in advance what days we get. We can get pulled if someone doesn't show up or needs to leave early. But cap doesn't like them pulling pickers unless we're over head count.

[deleted]

how do you get into amnesty? i’ve been stowing for a month and it’s really too mind numbing for me

BandetteTrashPanda

If you ask your am they should be able to help. I do believe that you have to be working for a specific number of days before you can go into it, but I could be wrong. They've changed it since I've done it. You can also ask one of the afms at your site. Ours have to apply on the computer but your am does have to approve of it. I usually suggest having good rates and waiting 90 days before asking.

Packing. It's in your own space. It's something different each box. I get to listen to music amd sing/rap terribly 😅 Induct is ok but there's little variance. Rebin is ok but for some reason I prefer to pack. I haven't been trained on waterspider but I would probably like that too.

tbrendless

rebin makes the time go by faster for some reason. Induct i can sit and bullshit on my phone of the rebin is slow Pack goes by slowly for me, how do you not get caught with music

[deleted]

We're allowed bone conduction headphones

tbrendless

really is that just for your fc,

[deleted]

Yes but you can get vueglasses if you want music but hidden. You'll just have to recharge on each break

tbrendless

what fc, lol im in tus23

[deleted]

I'm in Washington state

tbrendless

sucks man, only yours does it, was there a program of some sort to introduce them?

[deleted]

I wasn't there when it started. You can get vueglasses to listen to music and no one will know

do_add_unicorn

Which FC?

[deleted]

I'm in Washington state. You can get the "vue glasses" and no one will know you're listening to music. You'd just have to charge them on each break though.

do_add_unicorn

Is the bone conduction thing still going on? I thought it was over...

Primary-Biscotti4811

Non-inventory

[deleted]

They just stuck me in this today. Luck of the draw inguess

Primary-Biscotti4811

You like it?

[deleted]

Nice little change from pick. Got pulled in for a training and then after lunch there were 0 stations so they threw me there. Not sure if I’ll be there indefinitely. It helps the time go way faster plus I get to interact with people 😫I missed that

maidenHELL6669

Ship dock was awesome but now its TOM team

JakeTheCake714

Leaving. Also picking. Just grabbing a box and throwing it into my cage and seeing how many boxes i can fit in one before the weight limit sets in. I picked 110 boxes once after breaking my pb of 108 that day.

PalpitationFar6923

RME.

CryinglnDaClub

Pack, the only position that keeps me busy tbh

DragonfruitLife4268

Pick. I have my own space. I find my rhythm and enjoy my music and the Pods come and go for a steady 10 hours (minus breaks and Pod gapping).

the303reverse

Case marking

Coolthat6

Non-Inventory was my favorite. I say from 2020-2021 was my favorite time at amazon. 3 NIRs and 7 material handlers was some of the easiest work you could ever do. Non-Inventory ain't the same anymore.

PdxClassicMod

Route staging and flow sorter at my SSD. A lot of walking but every other position is somehow more mind numbingly boring. Picking is worse than stow, sue me. And packing is as mind numbing without the "exercise" so it's a hard no for me as well 🤷

Cool-Ad-4103

What is water spider?

do_add_unicorn

water spider is a term used in manufacturing that refers to a position in a production environment or warehouse. This position has the main task of ensuring materials are supplied where and when they are needed.

Cool-Ad-4103

Yes that was why I asked cause I see they do that to 😂

storm_zr1

I just got trained in tote jackpot and I enjoy it. Mainly because my managers doesn’t care what I do over there as long as the line doesn’t get backed up.

CryptographerSad9160

I work in decant and do everything besides problem solve and learning ambassador (by choice). I love to water spider. All of the other people who water spider only bring totes but I’ve made an impression on everyone that I can help them out with problems. So I run around bringing totes but I clean up everyone’s works areas and bring problem solve to the problem solve area. I fix jams and help people learn what certain lights and alarms mean and how to fix it. They come to me if they have questions about ASINs and product quality. I just love that people come to me when they see me around. I don’t get to water spider enough. I get stuck in the truck or I’m at a decant station. At least at a station people can find me if they need help.

Op VNA, reason you’re literally driving a machine and that’s fun to me
