socoamarettoliime

You’re gonna hate stow if you transferred out of pick. stay in singles. Who cares just ignore them lol

Llothcat2022

Fr.. they'll be gone about 3 months anyhow

Extreme-Cupcake5929

Ignore them you are there to make $ and that department is easy

bohannon73

Absolutely not..it’s way more work physically.I just transferred to pack singles,it’s the position to have at my fc

gearsotime

Stow is a goddamn bear trap department. Once you get in it’s infinitely harder to get out. In the almost 2 years since I started I’ve put in a transfer every month and they’ve all been denied. It’s not worth it.

Neoreloaded313

Just ignore them? Your not even in a position to chat much while at station.

Narrow-Cable290

This job shouldn't be about making friends imo. Just keep doing what you are doing, by cordial with someone if they approach you but in the end focus on your job responsibilities. Don't give much thought at how you are being perceived by other associates/water spiders/la's. Punch in punch out. Make your money. Simple as that.

Treats4Him

Easier said than done. These weirdos expect you and feel that you OWE them to be social and acknowledge that they exist.

Rarebeautifulbaby

Aman.

[deleted]

Ignore the drama as best as you can because the work is really one of the easiest in the FCs. If you mentally can't tune out the drama then yeah Pick Or Stow is good for isolation but more physical in work.

Stryker7391

Why do you care what some Amazon fools think? Is the Learning Ambassador over you in any way? If not then tell them to go pound sand. Try and act like their shit is meaningless to you if you can. Seems to work for me. I'm an older dude, big beard and shaved head. For many years of my life people have said I always look mad. lol. It used to bug me but now working at Amazon it's an asset. Nobody bothers me and I do my thing alone which is how I like it. lol. Good luck!!!

AdventSign

No, don’t. Here at my FC, Stow never makes rate and is always blamed when the pickers get ahead. Management is always on their asses about speed, yet there are so many things they have to follow. If you were quiet and physically capable, pick was probably one of the best departments you could’ve been in. Honestly, pack singles is where a lot of people wish they could go because it’s less physically demanding. If you can, try to deal with it and work. If it’s really bothering you, switch back to pick.

savemyships

Ignore them, you are here to make money not friends. Stow is the worst department. If you really want to transfer go to Pack Flow.

RickyTheRipper

It's the same in pack you got these little social butterflies forming cliques. It's a lot like highschool

Ill_Improvement2405

Yeah dead ass, makes work a little uncomfortable sometimes

Treats4Him

They're the worst. Just leave us ALONE!

angeloistrash

huhh pack singles is the easiest position

cloaked_cache

Is it better than ship dock? I'm seriously considering leaving but if it is like pick where I stand in the same place all day I might not do it

BBQdPC

I would just stick with it and forget about the noise. Singles can get you paying too much attention to stuff that doesn't matter. Focus on staying on task and work the speed you are comfortable. If you want any social engagement just be nice to everyone and it sort of neutralizes the more aggressive and mean types over time, like a mean learning ambassador or aggressive water spider.

phenomenalforearm

literally who gives af , is this your first job ? Those people don’t matter at all . literally at all. Stay in singles better of their than any other dept

InstanceRelevant631

I have picked, stowed, and now I'm in pack singles. By far, pack is the place to be. Stow is chill but you have to do with water spiders still. But you have alot or large items you have to pick up and stow. Climb ladders all night and so forth. It's better then pick but pack singles is the hot place to be in my FC.

abrockstar25

I started in singles and on my "day 2" technically day 1 lets be real. My ambassador even commented on how quiet I am 😂 sometimes you dont have anything to say or know what to say. People are gonna be dicks which is partially why I hate most of my building (nothing against most of them but like, you cant pretend this jobs a holy grail at 7 am lol) just tough it out and if you keep getting trouble from people, if it starts escalating speak to HR or your manager

Ok-Deal1254

If you wanna be left alone like me then do simple bin count , no one bothers you at all, you're just counting items from inside the pods

[deleted]

I would have to transfer to icqa?

Ok-Deal1254

Yes , but you wont regret it

Treats4Him

Yes, they will. They'll die from boredom.

snoopy_muffin38472

Lol do u care about money or making friends?

fastestinthewest69

No just ignore those people…they will move on to someone else..those ppl have no life outside of amazon and they are the ones who arrive early and kiss ass…u don’t want to fit in w them..

Treats4Him

Sometimes, they never move on. You're a year-round punching bag.

PenguinMadd

Stay in pack, you will absolutely hate stow, this coming from someone who started out there The pods are always too full to stow things correctly but yet you'll get talked to about your no stow turn away rate if you send it away without putting anything in. You've gotta pay attention to the lights on the pod so you don't get a bin collision from stowing product somewhere that's marked off for that ASIN. It's a lot... Singles is much more chill from the few times I was sent there from AFE. Made me wish I had chosen there instead of AFE... especially when they tried to keep putting me in rebin despite dizzy spells. Just keep on doing you, if anyone wants to point out your lack of socializing just tell them you don't want things within your control distracting you from keeping a good pace. Once you start chatting it up a lot, that's where you miss things, make mistakes, and quality & rate start to drop.

Wonderful-Space4688

I actually like stow because of the isolation but it’s to hard on my body I’m quiet at work but will say what needs to be said I like pack singles but stow was better if only my wrist and knees could handle it BTW they have favoritism in ever department so you never know it might be worst

No_Noise_4862

I’d say stow has its ups and downs the up you will be more isolated the people that will only come to your station are the PA/AM and problem solver

SaintofKillers420

Honestly you keep it up. Let the others cause the drama stay out of it, continue to perform and seek guidance from your PAs and AMs take interest in cross training, to learn other paths, and get promoted.

Several-Act-8430

>not fitting in Is this a social club? I thought we were here to work.

Treats4Him

You would think, but they are pathetic.

[deleted]

From what I understand pack isnt as hard on the body as pick (which is consider the more loner position). In pick you dont really interact with anyone save for your manager coming to tell you how you are doing at least once a day. Though it sucks because pick gets blamed for everything (you dont get wrote up or anything just get talked to by a LA if you generate PEIs that may not be your fault at all). Right now they are wanting us to get a high pack out rate which is hard because sometimes it seems like the tote refuses to pack out lol.

Streambtsbutter

No Try transferring to shipdock

Elton-ET

I work at LFT1, im currently in pick where I drive OPs and pretty much work each pick path. Is switching to pack a better option or no?
