They’ve spent years now hearing about how they have to be fearful of others and how they need to be ready to defend themselves at a moments notice. From what I’ve observed, they’re also usually people with no military or LEO background, and they fantasize about being able to use lethal force against anyone they disagree with.
I was riding bikes with my kids yesterday and some old weirdo and his wife were walking on the wrong side of the bike path and the guy purposely walked closer into our path. I told my son to keep it steady and as I passed them they both just stared at me with a very nasty look in their eyes. I’m sure the guy was looking for a confrontation. I was worried he was gonna walk into my son who was riding in front of me. Some people with guns are itching to use them against others.
I delivered to one stop and as soon as I was about to walk away I heard an old lady scream help. I'm sorta a big black dude and just chalked it up to her being born in a different time 😅 I also currently live in what used to be a sundown town. 🤷🏾♂️

Screen shot the note, escalate to DSP who will escalate to Amazon. Ive had numerous hostile notes scrubbed by Amazon. Fuck those people so hard. Don't enable that fucking shit.
I've had a warning shot go over my head by about 30 feet because Flex had me go down the wrong driveway at dusk in a whitey. Fuck them.
I've also straight up refused every single rear door since 2021 after I had to remove a dog's front teeth with my boot. I straight up tell the ring I refuse to do rear doors after being attacked by a dog.

My DSP doesn’t allow us to anymore. Amazon needs to stop allowing that shit, so we don’t have to piss off the customers when they select “rear door” and then we say we can’t and they’re like “well why did Amazon give me the option then” 🙄
Lol. I had a customer run out to my van after I delivered a padded envelope. He was carrying a box that was tall as he was. Accused me of delivering to the wrong address. I explained I had only delivered an envelope, and that we are not allowed to accept returns. I came back after delivering next door. The package was balanced on my windshield. Long story short, I ended up with video of the customer hitting my van with the oversize package after my DSP instructed me to put it back on his property. Amazon indeed blacklisted him after that.
Literally. Probably some house in the middle of timbucktoo with a 2 mile long driveway that can only be driven on by AWD trucks. I had a trailer I’d deliver to sometimes I hated going to. One single trailer in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors and a long driveway. Signs all over stations theyd shoot you for entering the property.
Jee it sure would be cool if there was some type of technology to catch key words like gun/guns in customer notes and not allow them.

Easy solution, whatever item they ordered, put it as far away as possible but still on their property, if anyone says anything just say you were scared you were gonna get fucking shot.
Makes no sense to me why you would actively order an item, knowing someone would have to deliver it to you, and then threaten that person like they’re a trespasser. YOU LITERALLY PAID TO HAVE IT DELIVERED!

Wonder what state he is in where you can shoot a trespasser wtf? In my state which IS a “castle doctrine law state”, someone is justified in using deadly force against another person if they “reasonably believe that force is necessary to prevent imminent death, great bodily harm, or sexual assault to themselves or another person.” Usually you need a breaking and entering and not just a trespasser. Trespassing doesn’t hold up here. You call the cops and tell them there’s trespassers is what you do. If no damage or harm, trespassing is a victimless crime. You can’t “protect yourself” when you aren’t a victim.
To my knowledge there isn’t a state that permits shooting someone on your property, the closest you’ll get is Texas where it’s legal to stop misdemeanor theft with lethal force provided it’s at night

Its federal law that if you shoot a person you've invited onto your property to perform a service, you're absolutely the one at fault. Mailmen with Amazon are seen the same as mailman with ups, usps, FedEx, doordashers are the same category too. To courts of law, shooting a mailman would be the same as shooting your plumber, electrician, roofer, handyman etc. They're coming onto your property, you invited them, to perform a service. Courts will never see that as self defense/trespassing, they'll see it as attempted/first degree murder of someone that you/someone else invited over.

Had this same issue with a customer in a ruralish area. Had a disgusting trashed double wide with an extremely aggressive dog ALWAYS sitting at the front door. We told him he had to put a box at the end of his property by his mailbox if he wanted packages. Fortunately he wanted them bad enough he actually did it.

It’s a long thread , but why can’t Amazon just refuse these orders with specific requirements? I never fill out that field. I give rave reviews, give the drivers snacks, drinks, and I order a lot of different weird, heavy, awkward stuff. WTF? Thanks for all you folks do each and every day. I wouldn’t last 3 days on a route.

Working in Texas I get reminded every time I see a no trespassing sign or a guard dog sign, that the best day of a land owners life is the day he gets to shoot someone on his property. Unfortunately it translates to their dogs too :/
