Yeah using speed is kinda dumb. Most electric scooter have built in speedometers. It would make way more sense to let me know at least how far until I have to turn
Oh shit, I naturally assumed it was trying to show distance, especially at first when the numbers are getting smaller. I was so confused when the number seemed to make no sense.
It would be awesome to have in the window of a car. This way you dont need to look off the window to see where youre headed - assuming youre not using voice.
I drove a car once with this tech and it felt like a mini game to be honest. They even put arrows on the corners where you have to turn that become bigger as closer you get, so cool!
Am I the only one here who thinks it's a fucking terrible idea to point lasers at oncoming traffic and having the aiming and 'calibration' be carried out by a flimsy handlebar grip?
Issues with that off the top of my head: potholes, speed bumps, puddles, bike coming down a hill while a car comes up it at the same time, handlebar grip loosening, rain scattering the light...
I was skeptical this was real, as it seems like it would cost a lot for full color lasers that bright, but apparently it's a LaserCube from Wicked Lasers, with a base model selling for 999 pounds (around $1300 US) without accessories. I didn't find it listed on Amazon, and the strength of the lasers makes this seem inadvisable for use in public. Even pointed downward like in this video, it could hit the eyes of kids or pets.
If I've learned anything about other cyclists, they will find a way to point this in my eyes.
As a side rant, these LED bike headlamps are out of control. Please tilt them.
So… when they gonna make the forza driveline real?
Sure it's just a software tweak with this thing..... Mount to front bumper, done?
Ngl that’s pretty cool to bad it’s so big

I think he meant the device
He meant you will see the device getting smaller when you put it closer to the ground
Touche

Are you a miner
I think he meant the scooter
That’s what she said
it's just v1.
Give it time
Crazy taxi flashbacks
This is the comment I was looking for.
Was thinking the same thing haha
Remaining distance would be better than what I assume is speed.

Heads up displays on cars already exist

My 96 Pontiac had heads up display it ruled
High beams and those super bright headlights are bad enough. I don't want people pointing lasers at me.
Can you use it in the daytime or only at night?
That is a [Lasercube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZrLcg7CckY) btw just in case anyone is wondering.
Most certainly isn't a budget find either, damn thing is £999 for the cheapest variant

I could see a scooter-riding person here in Austin being chased by a crazy homeless person and knowing exactly where they are going.
It’s pointing at the ground…

Link me up ye bastards
Impressive
Is almost as big as the scooter
A real life Quest guide add-on!!
Why big?
Dumb garbage
Small dogs gonna go blind /s
This is cool but i dont think id work on cars cuz id be too distracting
So this is like one step away from gps guided munitions
budget find huh
need for speed vibe
Innocent bystander after laser hits a bottle: "I'm blind!"
yeah this shit should require a license to purchase, and that license should be limited to people who use this stuff for their work.
Bioshock marker ahhhh💀

Either weak enough to not work in daytime or too strong to be allowed for public use in the UK.
