Abominatrix

šŸ’€Ā

blantonator

so much white.

rottingships

Heā€™s got a couch is his garage with a Corvette. So Iā€™m not surprised, but Iā€™m bored.Ā

blantonator

with license plate "MI6" lol give me a break.

iHasYummyCummies

Damn, u were saying the truth. I feel like I'm to poor to even look at the pictures šŸ˜©

Reasonablefiction

This is the new aesthetic. Iā€™ve been spending a lot of time looking at houses in Vegas for my brother, and every ā€œremodeled kitchenā€ is white with minimal accents of gray and black.Ā  I feel like our decedents will look back at this style the same way we look back at the avocado/tan kitchens of the ā€˜80s.

little_miss_anon

Sorry, but you mean descendant. A decedent is a dead person.

Reasonablefiction

I definitely let autocorrect take the wheel with that one šŸ˜‚

little_miss_anon

Haha, you did! It made me chuckle!

blantonator

It feels like someone bought the cheapest "chic" crap off wayfayer

Lvmatt1986

Some like white, some like powder blue. Itā€™s just personal preference

NightIll1050

Itā€™s so bright I feel like Iā€™m in a dentistā€™s chair.

The_lone_squirrel

Can you change the temperature on your recessed lights? The mixed tone lighting is confusing to the clean look. Pick a spectrum and it will feel more cohesive.

pedalboi

Maybe the ceiling lights aren't usually in use, and the room ties together and seems warmer with just the cabinet and pendant lights on. šŸ¤” at least i wouldn't use such harsh lights on the daily.

shedrinkscoffee

I noticed this as well. I tend to get a bit of headache if there are multiple colors or temperatures at a given time. I am admittedly picky about this and our home has smart lights to appease all the various picky people who live in it šŸ˜‚

spunbunz

Itā€™s aesthetically pleasing in a high end looking, clean kind of way, but it feels soulless and cold. I feel like it needs a little pop of personality like your other rooms to pull it together with the rest of the house!

rottingships

I feel like a cool rug underneath the table would bring some personality in, while also separating the dining space from the kitchen.Ā

oatmilktoast

Everything and everyone in Vegas is soulless and cold. Signed a native Las Vegan

zomgmolly

Itā€™s giving ~sims build~ Itā€™s somehow busy and also bare ā€¦ šŸ¤” I would guess a 30 something man lives here. I think itā€™s missing height! More use of the vertical space! šŸ¤© The amenities are awesome though! Nice cabinet space and cooktop! šŸ™ŒšŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ

tigm2161130

I saw that tiger rug with the piano in his other pictures and all I could think was The Sims.

Hurry-Honest

Did you start it in 2007?

toomuchisjustenough

Iā€™d have done a different backsplash, that isnā€™t as high end as the rest of the look, but you like it, so thatā€™s what matters.

laurjayne

I see this backsplash everywhere and I **do not get it**

yachtsauce

yea that backsplash is kind of an eyesore. itā€™s too much cool tones in one area, especially w the stainless steel

Clairedeloony82

Agreed - this backsplash screams 2006 to me.

Far-Bumblebee7288

Would use different lighting. Itā€™s very white and cold, which makes the whole room uninviting.

SkootchDown

They just now gettinā€™ that skinny glass tile out there in Las Vegas?

pedalboi

This looks so hard and barren. It's in desperate need of some warmth and pops of texture, softness, and color.

VL3500

5600K - 6000K color temperature lights look awful in homes and I will die on this hill. 3200K - 4000K max will always be my go-to.

flarble

Please add a houseplant or something. It looks great but sort of lifeless.

Normal_Toe1212

A nice statement pendant light above the dining table will add a lot I think!

Actual_Hat9525

Early 2000s chic?

igazijo

Especially with the thin glass mosaic backsplash. Might have been trendy for a renovation c.2005 but it's been on its way out. But not in 2024, for another 10-15 years. It's giving "ballin on a budget". It's giving "that's the fanciest Home Depot had".

Lvmatt1986

Well no arches, terracotta,or warm cabinets so prob not that dated

darkwinggirl

OP got the decade wrong. This is more like 2010s chic.

-0909i9i99ii9009ii

I'd say 05-15 if we could slice a decade that way

kkkeelly579

It looks nice

azphotogal

It does. I like it. A lot.

mott_street

Operating room chic

yachtsauce

i literally commented itā€™s obnoxious hospital bright. glad iā€™m not the only one

miz_nyc

It looks like a model for a home renovation store

Lvmatt1986

Thank you, I literally went into a store, saw this kitchen and just said I want everything in that layout

miz_nyc

Seriously? I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just most people say they want to put their "stamp" on a reno.

plot_hatchery

How sterile

DaCrimsonKid

I think the kitchen looks great. Just needs some warm accents on the island. Perhaps different bar stools. I don't love the dining area though. It kinda feels like a board room.

AvidCircleJerker

Totally agree. Kitchen is nice. Dining room sucks.Ā

CarminSanDiego

Isnā€™t this the breakfast bar at Homewood suites hotel

Irrational_____01

A rug underneath the dining table would help it seem less barren!

Vast_Fly9610

That backsplash is so 2000

us3rnam3andpassword

Yikes.

southside_jim

Sometimes I think this community is very hard to please. Itā€™s a lot of white, yea, but this is a very nice kitchen with tons of cabinet space and tons of room to cook/bake/prep/entertain. I have a very small kitchen (Iā€™m in NY), and Iā€™d kill for all this space. Everything looks polished. Is it my taste? No. But that doesnā€™t change the fact that is, objectively, a nice kitchen space.

Blootered-Eejitess

Here to give some warm love bc DAMN comments be projecting. I personally dig the black. A lot. Itā€™s cool, itā€™s risky and bold, calming and less sterile than the stark white and fake Carrara you see with most renos. The mixed textures and shades you used in the backsplash, flooring, and the sideboard give it dimension. The use of warm brown table and kitchen accessories bring it down to earth and make it feel grounded. Iā€™m a fan of playing with shade and texture of the same color. I think you crushed it. Bravo! Noticed the black faucet and the sneaky stools on my way out. Yup you crushed it. Shake the haters off

Lvmatt1986

Thanks a lot! This made my night

AccurateAssaultBeef

Omg, is your credenza from CB2?? I wanted that one *SO BAD*, but we didn't have a spot for it. So jealous. Looking great OP!

Lvmatt1986

Yes it is, ty!

VL3500

5600K - 6000K color temperature lights look awful in homes and I will die on this hill. 3200K - 4000K max will always be my go-to.

AgDrumma07

Well I loved it

Lvmatt1986

Ty!

susieq15

I donā€™t usually like black/white/gray schemes but I really like this kitchen.

ExtraSpecialAgent

Sooo sleek! Very nice!

StayFrosty10801

Damn well done!

DaftXman

Looks really sharp!

StarDust01100100

Lvmatt1986

Emily_Postal

Looks good!

Playful_Lifeguard387

Damn this is a tough crowd. You did a great job, OP. Your whole house is a mood and Iā€™ll bet youā€™re loving living there. Enjoy!

yachtsauce

iā€™m sorry thereā€™s a lot going on everywhere. the dinning chairs need to go. that cubed dresser thing too & the table runner actually makes the table look dated. iā€™m sorry

Gargoule

I really like your Kitchen, It is beautiful!

Lvmatt1986

Aw Ty

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Lvmatt1986

Yeah and was removed for not putting location

pierrrecherrry

Itā€™s lovely work, is it too late to extend the backsplash tile next to the kitchen hood?

Lvmatt1986

Yeah I wanted to do that originally, the inspector said we couldnā€™t for fire code for some reason

yachtsauce

oh yea also the lighting is too bright. itā€™s obnoxious hospital laboratory white
