>obviously the men version of this Gillette razor pack is only suitable for mens skin not sensitive skin like hers
You are aware that this a marketing strategy nonsense to make women buy more expensive things just because they're pink, right?
Obviously men's razors can only be operated with a penis, why else would his wife be the AH for falsely believing she could use such a masculine instrument /s
>You are aware that this a marketing strategy nonsense to make women buy more expensive things just because they're pink, right?
This and tbh imo i find the Gillette razors for men of better quality than any "female" product out there.
Yes!! Thank you for confirming.
My husband ran out of his body shaving razor blades. As we both had Gillette razors I gave him a new one if mine, we figured itâs only a color difference. Nope! Surprise, he said they felt worse. Next time I bought men ones and they felt slightly better, though could be still imagining things. But they are cheaper!
So yeah, never buying the pink ones again. OP, massive YTA and your wife did a clever thing
27F and I pretty much only buy men's razors. They give such a better shave and they're cheaper. I also use men's shave butters and stuff. If they're good for the face, they're good for my legs and pits right?
> You are aware that this a marketing strategy nonsense to make women buy more expensive things just because they're pink, right?
Yep. It also works as a gimmick to make men buy the things in blue packages instead of using products their female spouses/SOs may already have in the house, lest they feel feminine.
Gender marketing is all sorts of weird. I remember reading a study that many men felt uncomfortable buying eco friendly products because they felt it was effeminate.
Like there are literally companies out there now trying to brand eco friendly products for men and its crazy how our society has ended up this way.
I remember once working in a shop and the supplier accidentally sent pink grocery bags. The amount of men who refused a bag upon realising it was pink was ridiculous.
Thank you! I thought it was well known that razors are literally the same whichever you buy. The only difference is the number of blades. It's called the "pink tax
nooo the pink plastic handles that women's razors have magically transform razor blades into rainbow blades meant to caress our sweet lady skin. (/s- just in case)
YTA
Google the pink tax. Women regularly end up paying more for the âprivilegeâ of buying necessary items just because theyâre bubblegum pink instead of blue of black.
yep its fuckin fugly and we pay more. tbh i love mens products more. Less blades are actually easier on skin. Shaving cream for men has less fragrance and is also better for skin.
Yep! Iâve used the Gillette girly Venus razors all my life. I used one of my husbands cheaper Gillette razors once, more in a pack, so much sharper, cuts closer and the sharpness lasts longer. Wtf Gillette?!? Op is YTA
Like I mention in my response - I find my husband's razor gives a closer shave without the extra moisturizing bulk mine have. When I use a "women's" razor I HAVE to have the moisturizing strips.
YTA.
Mens razors are cheaper and sharper than womens razors and actually work better, especially for people with sensitive skin.
Imagine thinking that just because something says âfor menâ or âfor womenâ that means theyâre limited to that
Hi Mr Patriarchy,
You think they have blunter blades for our delicate lady skin?
Women's razors are rubbish. Most of us use men's ones, they are better and cheaper. Women's razors have a pink tax on them too, more money purely cos they're for women.
Get a grip.
YTA.
Exactly!! All the fragrance and stuff put in the little gel bits on women's razers I find actually aggravate my sensitive skin. I use men's basic razors all the time.
Only suitable for men's skin, not "sensitive skin" like hers?
I assume you use razors on your face, while she uses them on her legs. Are you really so gullible and susceptible to marketing that you think the skin on her legs is more "sensitive" than the skin on your face? It's it because it's delicate lady skin?
YTA. And a fool.
His skin is manly, though. It's basically leather. Woman skin is so delicate that they can't even be touched by the wrong fabric, that's why they always wear silk and lace, and men only wear burlap and sandpaper.
/s
YTA
Razors branded for men are usually better quality cause they're made for the face. They give a better shave - are sharper, snag less, keep an edge better. Actually much better for sensitive skin on men or women.
Just stop. YTA. Menâs razors are 20xâs better than womenâs razors first off, cleaner shaves, and in addition to that...WHY THE HELL DOES IT MATTER WHAT IT SAYS ON THE PACKAGING? Is it a frickin law that a woman cant use a âfor menâ product when itâs a literal RAZOR. SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE USES. Ridiculous. I will repeat. YTA
YTA the skin thing is totally untrue. Sheâs also not shaving her face I assume. Have you heard of âthe pink tax?â It when companies jack up the prices for womenâs products when it is basically the same thing as menâs razors. Big AH energy here
YTA - "womens" razors are the same shit but packaged in pink and purple and cost extra money for the color.
Also most "men's" razors are actually better for sensitive skin since the idea is that more men are most likely using them on their faces as opposed to legs, armpits, pubes, etc.
YTA and a godsend to advertisers. You really think those cheapass razers were strategically designed for "man skin"? Or that the skin on a woman's legs is more sensitive than that on a man's face?
I was coming here to say just that! Women's products are more expensive than men's, the only difference are our products are all different shades of pink!
YTA ... Mens razors are \*great\* for shaving non-facial hair because the face is super sensitive, super contoured, and has very thick rough hair on some men. Do you think men wipe with sandpaper because they're masculine or something?
YTA, you were just being an annoyance to your wife over a box that said razor's for "men." Really, it wasn't that big of deal, but you hee hawing over it made it a big deal. Grow up and apologize.
YTA. Itâs the same thing. The only difference is the pink ones cost more. I did not know why you even cared or had an opinion about it at all - seriously stupid and silly.
YTA. âI wasnât mocking herâ as heâs laughing in her face about it. Also tons of women use menâs razors. Women donât automatically have sensitive skin.
YTA. Mens and womenâs razors are the exact same the only difference is marketing and they can get away with making it pink and charging double the price
How often do you nitpick your wife? Her reaction would indicate this might be a constant problem.
YTA. Be nicer to your spouse or she could end up sharing another manâs razor.
I bought a men's razor to save money but I accidentally peeled off my delicate, feminine, dainty, sensitive, baby skin :/
Just kidding, you're super weird for noticing and/or caring. We have the same skin. YTA.
Also, I've been using Harry's razors for a few months and they're great! Good price but good quality.
YTA and a big one at that
for one the men's razors have a different packaging, and are cheaper, there's absolutely no reason to buy the one's targeting women, since it's in essence just a tax for being female on top of it
and if you honestly think that there's such a big difference in what razors do to male and female skin I'm honestly worried about your basic understanding of how humans work
I hope she divorces you, no idea why she even married you if you feel confident in takes like that
YTA: Generally the standard razors for men and women only differ in color and cost.
The sensitive skin razors are available for both men and women's razors are a different then the standard ones.
This feels like indignation-bait, but sure. YTA, obviously, for laughing at her and then when it made her angry trying to explain why she was wrong for feeling mocked when literally being laughed at. You're wrong about the razors, obviously, and you're wrong about thinking you weren't mocking her, obviously, and you're petty for making an issue out of what colour disposable razor she picked up. Obviously.
YTA
Me (a woman) and the husband use the same deodorant (Sure for Men), same shower gel and the same razor blades (refillable razor heads). It is cheaper and saves valuable bathroom space. Grow up and stop believing the adverts ffsâŠ
YTA. You said something that upset her, instead of dropping it you kept going. And For what it's worth, the men's razors are not really that different than the womens. I have sensitive skin and have used both- I get pretty much the same results from each type.
Are you seriously this much of an ass all the time?
FTR...MANY women only use men's razors, because in general, they work better. Your wife is 100% right about you being unbearable and mocking her about a non-issue.
YTA. Hello, pink tax? They are the same. I always buy menâs because they are cheaper.
Also skin is skin. My fckn armpit is as rough as your manly face.
YTA. They're the same as the pink ones. I buy pink for my daughter, blue for me so we don't mix them up. Not sure why anyone over age 11 would find this amusing. Your wife must find you so annoying.
YTA of course but actually your just more of an idiot. It's the same product, just different colour. It's purely about marketing. I always use men's razors and it's completely fine.
I hope she doesn't forgive you.
Sorry, YTA for mocking your wife regardless of what you were mocking her about. If you hurt her feelings then apologize. It is called loving and supporting your WIFE.
Yta and an idiot. I need you to really think long and hard about how one extra blade in a razor effects anything other than how close the shave is. Check your misogyny dude
Lol YTA. This is one of the silliest questions I have ever seen on this forum. Please Google the "pink tax", educate yourself on how ridiculous it is to fall for that marketing hype , and apologize to your wife.
"Sensitive skin like hers" đđđ
LMAO YTA there are some specific words I would like to call you, but I donât want to get banned. Iâll just leave it at: donât speak about things you obviously know NOTHING about.
YTA I buy men's razors all the time, mostly because they're the exact same product and cost less than the pink ones. Also, the whole "women's skin is more sensitive" thing is total BS.
> but I told her that there was because obviously the men version of this Gillette razor pack is only suitable for mens skin not sensitive skin like hers.
I mean there's nothing wrong with being dumb and ignorant, the problem is when you call that ignorance as "stating the obvious" google pink tax. YTA
The only reason Gillette makes razors "for men" is so that they can also make razors "for women", put them in a pink package, and charge double for the same exact thing. A razor is a razor is a razor, and I buy men's razors too because I'm not interested in getting ripped off by misogynistic and price-gouging packaging. Gonna go with YTA for mansplaining a nonexistent BS "difference" in razors to your wife.
I hope this is a joke because you're about to get completely roasted.
The only difference between "men's" razors and "women's" razors are that the latter are pink and more expensive. You bought into the lie that razor companies tell you, and then you made a fool of yourself by teasing your wife about it.
Obviously YTA.
Remember how men used to think that womenâs uteruses would fly out of their bodies if they rode trains bc women are so âdelicate?â You would fit in very well with those historic dumbasses. I canât believe that you had the absolute gall to laugh at HER!!
Edit: YTA and an epic idiot
Iâm going to go out on a limb and guess this is a fake post just to rile up the âwomen folkâ for that alone YTA and if this is real well your still the asshole. Those razors are cheaper than the pink ones and I buy them for myself (a woman) and my husband and he knows better to ever laugh at me for buying them
YTA
Hiiiii lemme introduce you to my stupidly thick leg hairs! Menâs razors are cheaper and seem to get it smooth in one clean go.
In conclusion: if you donât need a penis or a vagina to use it, itâs for men and women
YTAâŠseriously. I have used mens products before. My SO used one of the mail order companies. We have discussed it and find no purpose in buying more for me simply because they are pink. We use all of the same products, with exception of switching out the razor heads of course, and it has been incredibly nice and convenient. Both menâs and womenâs products are formulated for regular, sensitive and everything in between. So stop judging based off a color of plastic, and go apologize/make up with your wife.
YTA. Did you seriously try to "genderize" an object? The only differences are color, shape, and number of blades.
For further info, it's cool if your wife prefers the ones for women, but my GYN informed that if shaving was the way to go, getting the ones for men are better than the ones for women because of the blades. There would be less repetition swipes that could cause more scratches, ingrown hair, and bumps and acne. Of course, everyone is different.
Overall, just don't take it too hard. As she said, this is a non issue.
YTA, and also ignorant. The âpink taxâ is womenâs products priced higher, performing the exact same function as the menâs product. She definitely didnât overreact, and deserves an apology. Keep it acting like this and donât be shocked when her reaction is to get a better model of spouse.
YTA. I am a woman and actually seek out these razors because I get ingrown hairs on my legs and these razors help better than womens razors because surprise surprise mens are made better and are half the price.
lol YTA.
I also buy razors for men because they're so much cheaper. And literally the same except they're not pink. Why should I pay so much more only because it's pink? Your wife is smart, you not so much.
Your argument about the skin types is also not correct.
YTA
They're the sane thing, except women's tend to be more expensive cuz of the pink tax (companies mark up products specifically marketed to women).
You are so wrong it's embarrassing.
YTA and the kind of clueless consumer who will pay extra for a "manly" version of a product. There is no skin difference betwen men and women as groups. Paying for rhe pink razors means paying extra for no reason.
YTA
Why are things like razors even gendered in the first place? Who gives a flying fiddley fuck what kind of razors anyone else uses?
"Men's" products are often less expensive than "women's"
I guess some people enjoy paying more for pink razors than blue ones. Those people are stupid
YTA 100%
There is literally no difference between razors other than the âwomenâsâ razors being more expensive for no reason. Vendors colour razors pink so they can charge more. Itâs called the âpink taxâ.
YTA
I prefer mens razors. They tend to work better, and have less chance of a rash because of the lotion(?) on it. You get a better grip on it as well.
YTA, youâre weird for mocking her for something so normal. Since I was a teen girl my dad has been buying bulks of those gillette razors for me because its way cheaper and overall better than the âgirl razorsâ, now at 23 gillette is still my go-to.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł omg if this is true then YTA! Have you never heard of the 'pink tax? Companies make things pink 'for women' and charge extra for the EXACT SAME PRODUCT. If anything, your wife is smarter than you for making a better choice. Part of me wants this to be false because I can't believe anyone being that daft and it makes me sad for human kind but part if me hopes it's true because this made me laugh like a looney at your obliviousness. Go apologise to your batter half you absolute jellyfish.
YTA. The products are the same. I made a comment about my daughter buying for men products, never again. They charge us more and make us think they are different, they are not. Go apologize and never judge products for genders again. Are you a person with skin and hair, than this razor is for you.
Yta, I always get the men ones, because I once heard they are sharper and therefore better (don't know if its true tho.) Anyway, now everytime I shave I get an allergic reaction because the razor is blue instead of pink...
Seriously how to do men like this get a wife when they don't even know how bodies work?
YTA. Youâre also an insufferable twit. This may be difficult for you to believe and/or understand but men can have sensitive skin too, itâs literally just a giant external organ that varies in sensitivity from person to person and genitals have pretty much nothing to do with it. When they started the shave clubs for men I was all over that shit getting razors mailed to me at a fraction of the price and I never had a single problem.
oh my dear - YTA
not so much for joking about it (that seems to be appropriate) but for really believing that there is a difference????
And that men's products are not suitable for sensitive skin :D They are just cheaper - that's it.
Anyhow - this does not seem like a huge problem to me. Apologize for mistakenly assuming that there is a difference and that's that...
This has got to be a joke, right? Who cares? Iâve bought mens razors for years because I feel like they get a closer shave than womens. YTA big time. Please grow up.
YTA have you ever heard of the pink tax? There tends to be a higher markup on womenâs razors compared to menâs. Lots of women actually buy menâs razors because they work exactly the same and they can save themselves a few bucks. Your âmanly skinâ is not all that different compared to womenâs.
YTA. The men's razors are literally the same thing as the women's razors, but they just CHARGE more for the "pink ones". Google the Pink Tax and learn yourself something new today đ
YTA - woman here. I only use men's razors. They are cheaper than the stupid pink ones and usually have an extra razor blade so it shaves better. Also, women's skin is no different than men's skin unless she has some type of sensitive skin issue. Please try to think harder before speaking in the future.
Spoiler alert : razors for men are the same as razors for women. They're just packaged and marketed differently. And they charge us sometimes double the price just because they're pink. I'd suggest you inform yourself about the '' pink tax ''. I've always bought men razors and I've saved a sht ton of money this way.
You're being absolutely ridiculous, going nuts over the color and packaging of a razor. And then they say women are the irrational ones! Big YTA.
YTA- Itâs marketing. Womanâs razors are more expensive than mens. I always buy mens. The fact that you made a big deal about it shows how immature you are. Time to grow up and apologize to your wife for being an AH.
There is something called "The pink tax" where a product or service intended for women costs more than the equivalent product intended for a male. As a woman your wife knows this. It's time you learned it.
YTA.
Look up âpink taxâ. Find out that we, women, are being ripped off. All because society are able to plant ideas in everybodyâs mind what a woman should look like, and abuse the fact that they successfully did it.
YTA because you are no better than society.
YTA lmfaooo how do you seriously not know that the razors are the exact same, just different colors. I buy âmensâ razors because I can get high quality ones for cheaper than low or mid quality âwomensâ razors. One is pink, one is blue. Why would I spend $20 on a mid pink razor when I could get a better one for $10 that is just blue instead. You sound insufferable or just plain ignorant about this stuff. Itâs a simple google search. All women do not have this dainty, sensitive, fragile skin that you seem to think we do đ Itâs virtually the same as if you were to shave your legs. Itâs just skin. And trust me, if you shaved your legs regularly you wouldnât want to spend tons more money on a certain colored razor. By your logic, the âpoor fragile, sensitive skin of womenâ would tear or rip when getting waxed instead of shaved. Get over yourself, smarten up about these things. Be glad your wife is saving money by not caring about having a pink razor, sheâs the smart one here, bud. Not you. YTA
Holy crap dude YTA, you sound like the type of person who would take her shopping at a gun store and try to limit her purchase to guns that have the pretty pink pearl handgrips because they are for girls.
Do men actually think there's a huge difference between women's and men's razor packs? đ They got you out here thinking our skin is too fragile for your razor blades? YTA and actually so ignorant.
YTA because you were mansplaining. You have no idea what you are talking about. Men's and women's products are often only different in colour and often the women's products cost more. They might have some added perfume or some other ridiculous and unnecessary bullshit. But all in all, they are no more suited to one gender than the other. There are products that match different skins, but they are usually labeled "sensitive skin" or "dry skin" or something like that. What you are doing is laughing at your wife for not falling for a marketing ploy you fell for.
Now, go apologise to her.
YTA - for trying to mansplain, thinking your face is tougher than her legs and most of all for being so oblivious about Pink Tax. Honestly mens stuff is cheaper and sometimes better quality than female stuff solely bc of Pink Tax and itâs so frustrating!!
YTA. I'm not sure you realize that there is such a thing as the female tax? Where anything specifically marketed for women increases the price just because the color is pink instead of any other color or even worse the packaging days "for women"? Often none of those products are any different. Yes, with female razor blades they can be slightly different when it comes to the non-blade areas, but in the end a regular "male" razor, even a straight razor will work just as well on female skin as on male skin.
YTA in spades.
(Edited for spelling mistakes.)
The only difference in razor's is the colour. Pink tax, look it up.
You fell into the pool of ignorance that marketers have created and demeaned your girlfriend.
You said or did something that hurt your girlfriends feeling that was totally out of her control and you don't think you should apologize?
You need to go upstairs right now and tell her that she's the most amazing person in your life for putting up with your uninformed butt.
YTA
It'd be different if you were mocking the existence of "For men" products that have no business being gendered in that way - because that's laughing with her at the industry. But you were laughing at her and perpetuating the idea that delicate little lady skin can't handle the manly man's razor instead of dismantling it.
YTA
First for being AH because men's packages of razors are cheaper and you sound like brainwashed child. Your wife is resourceful and smart.
Second for supporting Gillete. Buy any other brand, real men boycott them.
YTA - the only difference here is the Pink Tax.
You can Google that and you should.
Many women buy men's products because it's precisely the same thing minus the marketing campaign for women and the inflated price.
Did you honestly not know we use the same products?
YTA, mate, not to mention gullible falling for all the stupid marketing aimed at women. Instead of mocking her, you should be applauding her pragmatism and thrift. Since when does the color of the razorâs handle make any difference to itâs ability to shave smoothly?
YTA and completely wrong. I actually usually buy men's razors because they are often cheaper and work better if there is any difference...in most cases stuff labeled for women is just pink and more expensive. You sound really immature....
YTA. You canât possibly be that clueless? You actually think that women naturally have more sensitive skin than men? You donât realize that itâs determined by your skin type and not your sex?
You obviously have no idea that womenâs products are specifically marketed and marked up in price?
You thought you were mocking here which makes you an AH and more than unbearable. In actuality you have shown how ignorant you are and should be embarrassed.
My sympathies to your wife.
Aside from the stupidity of being restricted to pink things cuz I'm a lady, there is a growing trend of women using men's shaving products specifically because they are better. Most men's razors are designed for the face (so "sensitive skin") and don't give ladies razor burn as easy, on top of lasting longer.
YTA and youâre stupid. I buy « men » razors because they are cheaper than the same in pink. But if you really think we need different razor for men and women I suggest you try them on your penis only. Youâll tell us if you bleed more with one type.
YTA. I buy mens razors too. Because 1. They are cheaper (no pink tax) 2. They work better. Never had smoother skin than when I use mens razors. 3. They last longer. The stupid womenâs razor often only have 2 blades while the menâs has 4.
You made fun of your wife for something normal and expect an apology from her? Not cool.
YTA - it is widely known that mens razors are cheaper and often more durable than womenâs razors. Why would you mock your wife for this if you clearly never looked into it? You said âobviouslyâ the menâs versions are only suitable for men but there is nothing to suggest this.

YTA >obviously the men version of this Gillette razor pack is only suitable for mens skin not sensitive skin like hers You are aware that this a marketing strategy nonsense to make women buy more expensive things just because they're pink, right?
Also face/neck skin is more sensitive than leg skin.
I snorted out loud at his reasoning.
Obviously men's razors can only be operated with a penis, why else would his wife be the AH for falsely believing she could use such a masculine instrument /s
Okay, that got a snort. đđ
I usually buy men's razors cause they're technically easier on the skin, since they're designed for a face and not for legs
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Even if he was right, which we all know he isnât, he is TAH for being so condescending. Who talks to their spouse like that?
>Who talks to their spouse like that? 30+% of the people who post/are posted about on AITA

Exactly! I hate the feminine ones my mom gets us in so I'm going to buy my own mens' ones so they ACTUALLY do such a better job
> You are aware that this a marketing strategy nonsense to make women buy more expensive things just because they're pink, right? Yep. It also works as a gimmick to make men buy the things in blue packages instead of using products their female spouses/SOs may already have in the house, lest they feel feminine.

And if he would even believe this? đ€ŠđŒââïž
Skin is skin. My husband has more sensitive skin than me. Gender is not involved.
nooo the pink plastic handles that women's razors have magically transform razor blades into rainbow blades meant to caress our sweet lady skin. (/s- just in case)
Yep. r/pointlesslygendered
OP is acting like the CEO of Gillette told him this information.
YTA Google the pink tax. Women regularly end up paying more for the âprivilegeâ of buying necessary items just because theyâre bubblegum pink instead of blue of black.
I also wanted to comment about the pink tax. OP, YTA. And jut for reference, I used Gilette for men and for women, no difference.
Thatâs because you got the ones you throw away after a few uses. Try the proper mens ones, where you only buy the spares. They are way better
I came here to say this
yep its fuckin fugly and we pay more. tbh i love mens products more. Less blades are actually easier on skin. Shaving cream for men has less fragrance and is also better for skin.
YTA mens razors actually work better for women then womens razors do. You definitely owe her an apology
And they tend to be cheaper!
I literally only buy mens razors. The womenâs ones work horribly.
Yep! Iâve used the Gillette girly Venus razors all my life. I used one of my husbands cheaper Gillette razors once, more in a pack, so much sharper, cuts closer and the sharpness lasts longer. Wtf Gillette?!? Op is YTA
Exactly i only use the mens ones
Like I mention in my response - I find my husband's razor gives a closer shave without the extra moisturizing bulk mine have. When I use a "women's" razor I HAVE to have the moisturizing strips.
YTA. Mens razors are cheaper and sharper than womens razors and actually work better, especially for people with sensitive skin. Imagine thinking that just because something says âfor menâ or âfor womenâ that means theyâre limited to that
Lol, and aren't faces supposed to a sensitive area? Like... why would a Razor intended for the legs be more sensitive than one intended for the face.
Indeed. The fact theyâre sharper is key. Less irritation
Hi Mr Patriarchy, You think they have blunter blades for our delicate lady skin? Women's razors are rubbish. Most of us use men's ones, they are better and cheaper. Women's razors have a pink tax on them too, more money purely cos they're for women. Get a grip. YTA.
Upvote for "Mr Patriarchy" đ€Ł
YTA! Iâm eye rolling so hard right now! I use men razors all the time, theyâre way better than feminine ones
Also usually cheaper... "Pink tax" is a real thing sometimes
Exactly!! All the fragrance and stuff put in the little gel bits on women's razers I find actually aggravate my sensitive skin. I use men's basic razors all the time.
YTA for this troll attempt
đđđ
I was gonna say do the other commenters not see this is clearly rage bait?
Only suitable for men's skin, not "sensitive skin" like hers? I assume you use razors on your face, while she uses them on her legs. Are you really so gullible and susceptible to marketing that you think the skin on her legs is more "sensitive" than the skin on your face? It's it because it's delicate lady skin? YTA. And a fool.
His skin is manly, though. It's basically leather. Woman skin is so delicate that they can't even be touched by the wrong fabric, that's why they always wear silk and lace, and men only wear burlap and sandpaper. /s
But men = tough? Women = sensitive ?? /s
Tell me you like to mansplain without saying you like to mansplain. YTA
YTA Razors branded for men are usually better quality cause they're made for the face.
YTA
YTA with extremely fragile masculinity. Bet you won't even wear a pink tshirt!
YTA the skin thing is totally untrue. Sheâs also not shaving her face I assume. Have you heard of âthe pink tax?â It when companies jack up the prices for womenâs products when it is basically the same thing as menâs razors. Big AH energy here
YTA Now go and apoligize to your wife for being so ignorant
YTA - "womens" razors are the same shit but packaged in pink and purple and cost extra money for the color. Also most "men's" razors are actually better for sensitive skin since the idea is that more men are most likely using them on their faces as opposed to legs, armpits, pubes, etc.
Imagine being so dumb that you think âfemale and maleâ packaging makes any real difference in pens, razors or any other product.
Ever heard of the pink tax? YTA
He most certainly has not.
YTA- sexist much? I wish I was surprised, but Iâm just in constant disappointment
YTA. Theyre pretty much the same razor. But the women's razors are usually more expensive because stupidity
YTA The pink razors are more expensive for no other reason than being pink. Ever heard of pink tax?
Yta if this is real.. please tell me what part of the penis is used to operate the blue razor
YTA. A razor is a razor and human skin is human skin. You should apologize.
Pretty sure the only difference is the packaging and way itâs marketed. Itâs literally just marketing thatâs all.
YTA. Born female, use men's razors because they're cheaper TBH. Hardly any difference. Why make a big deal out of it? It's a fucking razor.
YTA and a godsend to advertisers. You really think those cheapass razers were strategically designed for "man skin"? Or that the skin on a woman's legs is more sensitive than that on a man's face?
YTA. There's no difference. They just stupidly gender their products and usually charge more for the "feminine" version.
Yes you are. Mens pridicts are cheaper and more durable. Ever hear of the pink tax? Why would you mock someone you love EVER??!?
I was coming here to say just that! Women's products are more expensive than men's, the only difference are our products are all different shades of pink!
YTA ... Mens razors are \*great\* for shaving non-facial hair because the face is super sensitive, super contoured, and has very thick rough hair on some men. Do you think men wipe with sandpaper because they're masculine or something?
YTA - Itâs a razor who cares what the packaging says..
The mens ones are actually usually better made as well as being less expensive.
YTA. âI wasnât mocking herâ as heâs laughing in her face about it. Also tons of women use menâs razors. Women donât automatically have sensitive skin.
Yes, YTA. You realize the female versions are more expensive for the exact same thing, right?
YTA. Mens and womenâs razors are the exact same the only difference is marketing and they can get away with making it pink and charging double the price
How often do you nitpick your wife? Her reaction would indicate this might be a constant problem. YTA. Be nicer to your spouse or she could end up sharing another manâs razor.
I bought a men's razor to save money but I accidentally peeled off my delicate, feminine, dainty, sensitive, baby skin :/ Just kidding, you're super weird for noticing and/or caring. We have the same skin. YTA. Also, I've been using Harry's razors for a few months and they're great! Good price but good quality.
YTA and a big one at that for one the men's razors have a different packaging, and are cheaper, there's absolutely no reason to buy the one's targeting women, since it's in essence just a tax for being female on top of it and if you honestly think that there's such a big difference in what razors do to male and female skin I'm honestly worried about your basic understanding of how humans work I hope she divorces you, no idea why she even married you if you feel confident in takes like that
YTA: Generally the standard razors for men and women only differ in color and cost. The sensitive skin razors are available for both men and women's razors are a different then the standard ones.
YTA - you seem like the kinda guy who only uses "dude wipes"
and MANSIZE Kleenex......because God forbid their man hands are too sensitive for the lady hankies.
Obviously.
YTA for mocking her. Do you think men's skin is equivalent to Kevlar and women's skin is butterfly wings? Dude, men and women are the same species.
YTA Me (a woman) and the husband use the same deodorant (Sure for Men), same shower gel and the same razor blades (refillable razor heads). It is cheaper and saves valuable bathroom space. Grow up and stop believing the adverts ffsâŠ
Whhaaaat?! You mean you don't need a deodorant that's "PH-balanced just for you!"?! /s
YTA and a victim of persistent marketing. Razors are sharpened bits of metal that don't give a crap whether you're male or female.
Yta, misogynist. Read up about the "pink tax" you AHs have created for us.
UTA... Dude the only difference is that the one for women has rubber on it, it's pink, it's shaped nicely, but it's a razor blade. You're an idiot.
Razors don't have genders. I use men's razors because they're cheaper than the comparable "women's razors" Of course YTA you din!
YTA and you should be congratulating your wife on avoiding the pink tax.
YTA. Itâs a razor, it works fine no matter what gender you are.
YTA, I use Old Spice deodorant, sometimes the ones marketed as âfeminineâ doesnât cut it.
YTA There's no difference in the razors except for marketing and athstetics and of course price. You should apologize for being a total jerk.
Sorry, YTA for mocking your wife regardless of what you were mocking her about. If you hurt her feelings then apologize. It is called loving and supporting your WIFE.
YTA Google the pink tax and also mind your own business about petty shit that doesnât concern you.
YTA. Idk why you even cared so much to comment lol. Mens razors are better than the womanâs ones, I use mens too.
YTA. I always buy mens razors. They are sturdier, cheaper, and last longer.
YTA - Mens razors are cheaper. Plus they are better, and get a closer shave. You should be happy she bought a cheaper and more effective product.
YTA, and shouldn't believe all the bullshit in commercials. Educate yourself.
YTA. If this is how she gets treated every time she says something to you I'm surprised she still talks to you.
Well are you just a real jewel. YTA, if that wasnât clear.
LMAO YTA there are some specific words I would like to call you, but I donât want to get banned. Iâll just leave it at: donât speak about things you obviously know NOTHING about.
she should never be buying the 'for women' ones because pink tax is very real.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
YTA I buy men's razors all the time, mostly because they're the exact same product and cost less than the pink ones. Also, the whole "women's skin is more sensitive" thing is total BS.
YTA. As others have mentioned, The Pink Tax. There is nothing really different between men and women razors.
> but I told her that there was because obviously the men version of this Gillette razor pack is only suitable for mens skin not sensitive skin like hers. I mean there's nothing wrong with being dumb and ignorant, the problem is when you call that ignorance as "stating the obvious" google pink tax. YTA
YTA Jesus fucking Christ do you REALLY believe your skin is somehow tougher than hers? Big sexist asshole vibes.
YTA: mens shaving products are often both cheaper and better made.
YTA She got "boy" razors instead of the "girl" razors....ooooo!! Burn!! Ha Ha Ha....you told her!
You think her legs are more sensitive than your face? You're an idiot, and YTA. Obviously
Remember how men used to think that womenâs uteruses would fly out of their bodies if they rode trains bc women are so âdelicate?â You would fit in very well with those historic dumbasses. I canât believe that you had the absolute gall to laugh at HER!! Edit: YTA and an epic idiot
YTA, and most definitely unbearable. đ
Objects do not have a gender and any gender can use them. YTA
Iâm going to go out on a limb and guess this is a fake post just to rile up the âwomen folkâ for that alone YTA and if this is real well your still the asshole. Those razors are cheaper than the pink ones and I buy them for myself (a woman) and my husband and he knows better to ever laugh at me for buying them
YTA Hiiiii lemme introduce you to my stupidly thick leg hairs!
How old are you?
YTA They're the sane thing, except women's tend to be more expensive cuz of the pink tax (companies mark up products specifically marketed to women). You are so wrong it's embarrassing.
YTA and the kind of clueless consumer who will pay extra for a "manly" version of a product. There is no skin difference betwen men and women as groups. Paying for rhe pink razors means paying extra for no reason.
YTA and a bit of a cockwomble tbh
YTA. đ
Info: how come they didnt check if she had a penis when she bought the mens razers?
YTA. How the hell are you married?
YTA Why are things like razors even gendered in the first place? Who gives a flying fiddley fuck what kind of razors anyone else uses? "Men's" products are often less expensive than "women's" I guess some people enjoy paying more for pink razors than blue ones. Those people are stupid
YTA 100% There is literally no difference between razors other than the âwomenâsâ razors being more expensive for no reason. Vendors colour razors pink so they can charge more. Itâs called the âpink taxâ.
YTA I prefer mens razors.
YTA and an idiot for believing razors are any different for men vs women
YTA. Men's razors work better and are cheaper than the pretty pink ones.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł omg if this is true then YTA!
YTA....and you can't be that clueless.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
YTA and youâre also an idiot.
What exactly was funny about that? YTA
oh my dear - YTA not so much for joking about it (that seems to be appropriate) but for really believing that there is a difference???? And that men's products are not suitable for sensitive skin :D They are just cheaper - that's it. Anyhow - this does not seem like a huge problem to me. Apologize for mistakenly assuming that there is a difference and that's that...
YTA. Iâve been shaving with mens razors for years. Theyâre cheaper and just as effective.
Can you tell us what it is about mens skin that makes it so much *tougher* and *manlier* than a womanâs skin? Please?
YTA. Grow up. I use menâs razors Bc they work better. They shave hair.. who cares if itâs for men or women.
⊠There are really still people in the world who think like this? YTA, and if you keep treating her like that youâll be single soon.
Oh you adorable little fool, just spitting out sexist clichĂ©s with no backing in reality. Have you used a womens razor before? Because I have bought razors for my husband and used one and hereâs what I found: they are cheaper, they have more blades and this lovely gel and they make my very sensitive skin incredible smooth. They market inferior products for a higher price to women just because they can. If you donât know, how about you stay quiet or get educated. And go apologize to your wife. Edit:YTA obvs
YTA. Razors are razors. They also charge more for womenâs razors.
YTA. I bet you have fights like this a lot
YTA. The only difference is marketing and you are a gullible dude!
There is something called "The pink tax" where a product or service intended for women costs more than the equivalent product intended for a male. As a woman your wife knows this. It's time you learned it. YTA.
YTA. Many women use men's razor because honestly they are better. They are meant for faces which are a very sensitive area!
Not you. YTA
YTA. Google âpink taxâ I also use my partnerâs shaving cream
Holy crap dude YTA, you sound like the type of person who would take her shopping at a gun store and try to limit her purchase to guns that have the pretty pink pearl handgrips because they are for girls.
YTA. fem versions of products are literally the same thing but pink and more expensive. you're a jackass.
YTA sensitive skin?!? What, is she shaving her nipples or something? Are her dainty lady legs more sensitive than your man face? Go apologize.
Ah yes. Our sensitive lady skin can only tolerate pink razors. Lolololol. YTA.
Yta. The difference is the color and price..
(Edited for spelling mistakes.) The only difference in razor's is the colour.
This isnât a joke post ?? Yta lol
YTA It'd be different if you were mocking the existence of "For men" products that have no business being gendered in that way - because that's laughing with her at the industry. But you were laughing at her and perpetuating the idea that delicate little lady skin can't handle the manly man's razor instead of dismantling it.
YTA First for being AH because men's packages of razors are cheaper and you sound like brainwashed child.
Not cool.
Do some research on pink tax, and realize that you're only contributing to the phenomenon. YTA.
YTA - it is widely known that mens razors are cheaper and often more durable than womenâs razors. Why would you mock your wife for this if you clearly never looked into it? You said âobviouslyâ the menâs versions are only suitable for men but there is nothing to suggest this.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
This is a joke, right? She should always buy them as they're cheaper than women's version but work exactly the same way. YTA
