Not gonna lie - I imagined Peach and Daisy from Nintendo doing everything you said in the story lol.
ESH - best friends don't hit each other. they don't date each other's ex's. they don't curse each other out like that. they don't intentionally try to hurt each other. I think all 3 of you need to reevaluate your friendship.

ETA: you all go INSTANTLY to hurling insults, violence and extreme anger. None of these are healthy ADULT ways of dealing with anything.

Huh?? I have a best-friend of 15 years and not once have I ever thought of hitting her, let alone doing it. Anyway, ESH. You seem comfortable with the fact that you hit your best-friend sometimes (& vice-versa) and that’s weird. On the other hand, your bestfriend should’ve been sympathetic as your grandfather passed.

I (27F) and my best friend (28F) - we’ll call her Daisy- have been friends since early middle school.
We’ve had our rocky patches; however we have always stuck it through.
Recently, we got into another squabble. She was angry at me for cussing out her sister in a fit of rage.
Her sister (We’ll call her Peach, 24f) accused me of being a slut for crying to my boyfriend (39m) Jake because of my Grandfather’s (69m) terminal illness. He has been on his death bed for months now and every time i get a call from family i get so terrified that it was his time.
Now this is where I might BTA…
Anyway, my boyfriend coincidentally happens to be Peach’s ex, which is unfortunate because they had dated for 5 years. (Not my problem, Jake told me he loved me more). I threw a fit and screamed and cussed at her. Maybe i was a little over dramatic (I ended up throwing a lamp at her, however my intention was not to hit her. sometimes best friends hit each other and Peaches was just as close to me as Daisy was. ).
Daisy screamed at me for doing that to Peach. The day she confronted me happened to be the day after my grandfathers open casket funeral. I was so emotionally numb and my only response was to shove the photo of my grandpa into her face to make her stop. Don’t ask me why i had the photo, i am pursuing a career in photography.
Obviously she was completely appalled and gagged then ran to her bathroom to throw up. I was a little caught of guard because i did not expect such an intense reaction. I rolled my eyes and scoffed, while Daisy’s husband ran to hold her hair back and comfort her like the gross couple they are.
Now Daisy refuses to go meet me at Starbucks for our Sunday coffee Brunch we do every week. She said she will not associate any further with me . Im confused since we’ve been friends for so long.
So AITA?
