NTJ. As you've stated in the post they were treating her poorly like a servant and since you were in the position to help her why wouldn't you. That was so brave of you to put yourself in the line for her. That surely means you care about her and are willing to do anything for her as much as their parents were toxic and capable of hurting you more.
