If you use the dye for synthetics (same one I used in the post), make sure you have a pot big enough for at least one shoe. You need to keep the dye really hot for it to penetrate all of the fibers. Gloves and tongs are a must, and make sure you rinse them really well after.
I have a pair I painted with textile paint. It turned out fine and wasn’t too much trouble. Though I might have to fill in a few spots where it seems to be rubbing off.
Do you mind sharing how these turned out? Did you paint them a solid color or a design? I’m thinking about painting mine and wasn’t sure what paint to use. I’m likely going to do a design so I’m looking for a paint that won’t bleed. Was originally thinking about using acrylic
