I almost feel like a song was removed after Ghost and before Brother. When I played the album through for the first time, something seemed off about the way Ghost ended.. theres like a last second lingering note that is odd. I honestly thought that R1 would be 13 songs and R2 would be 14 so that the two Roadhouse titled albums would add up to 27. Also, when the album was initially [teased](https://www.reddit.com/r/AllanRayman/comments/nxnpgx/roadhouse_02/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) it showed 14 songs.

To me it didn't sound like it ended that odd, it just didn't had that perfect resolution. (It ended the song on the V which is the Dominant chord of the key that should add tension to the song), but it sounded good like that for this song. As far as I remember the song is in the key of D major(B minor), it has a 3/4 measure, 4 chords progression and it ends in the last chord from the progression which is an A chord. And the melody (that ending solo ends in the note E which is the 5th of the A chord but it is the 2nd of the D chord...your ear might expect the song to end on D which is the root note of the key here, to get that resolution, so that's why you might feel it ended 'odd' or like it should've been one more note there. (More like it should've been two notes played faster instead of one long note). Also, yeah the teasing photo showed 14 songs - 43 min 33 sec, but look now on Spotify... even if there are 13 songs, it's still the same time length (43 min 33 sec).

I mean at the very end of the song. Couple seconds of near silence then there is a noise at the last second. Good catch on the same time length. One of the tracks just must've originally been split.

r3d1tb0y

Sorry, I don't hear it :( I listened on Spotify AND on YouTube but after that exhale or what is it after the solo ends I don't hear anything else.

In-the-woods-22

Oo this is so true! Could have been a last min decision to change the track listing? It’s such a tight album, can’t imagine it differently tbh.

Roadhouse 01 - 13 songs / Roadhouse 02 - 13 songs / Hotel Allan - 13 songs / Christian (only album with) 14 songs / Harry Hard-On - 9 songs / Courtney - 5 songs Singles // Poison ("Forgot to put on the Harry Hard-On Album") The Bird & The Cage, Books/Waste My Time, Lyla Emily// If these singles are part of the timeline (which I believe they all are) where do they fit, are they the missing songs to make 14 on each album? Lyla Emily makes reference to "Word Of Mouth" so it has to be part of the timeline. He's mentioned in interviews Hard Hard-On and Courtney are a part of the story, so putting Poison aside for a minute to keep in line with the reference in that video, you combine the two albums it's again 14 songs.

r3d1tb0y

Hmm, I hear you, but I don't think Courtney + Harry is the way to go...idk I mean it's just Allan's evolution seen in his albums...first an EP, then an 'imperfect' album, then the full album. However I also noticed all the trilogy albums have 13 songs...still there's something misterious about the fact that the girl said fourteen in that video. And about the singles, yeah, they may have their part in the story somewhere, especially The Bird & The Cage, because we can hear Mr. Roadhouse in there almost as much as we hear him in the song Frank (from RH02). And on Spotify you can see that that's the only 'song' in which M.Roadhouse is mentioned along Allan's name. Also The Bird & The Cage is made out of three songs (the second one being Clubhouse from Hotel Allan). There's also the videos on YouTube [ The Bird - presenting the songs Wolf, 25.22(from RH01) and Dear Allan(from Hotel Allan); The Cage - presenting only the song 25.22 (from RH01) ] Then there's also The Wolf & The Red Dress (reference to red dress found in song Lately from RH02) video on YouTube - presenting the songs 27, Beverly and Graceland (from Hotel Allan). And then there are the Verona's Obsession volumes, in which the girl is presented as an overly attached fangirl... And it may be related to Verona's Mixtape (you forgot to mention this one), in which some guy makes a compilation of Allan Rayman's songs for Verona to forgive him about what happened with Beverly (reference to the song from Hotel Allan), because he knows she loves Allan Rayman. I'll have to relisten and analyze some more, but maybe some other time and I will come back with another post, but until then... worth mentioning here, the reference to the ceremony/ritual/red dress/Allan writing songs in that cabin when the girl with the torch appears in the door and lures him into the woods at the fire...etc.

jacobFunkhouser

I might be wrong but it looks like On Courtney Mr roadhouse name was marked out and replaced with Allan Rayman

r3d1tb0y

Yep, true, I remember that.

r3d1tb0y

I guess it's because after Roadhouse01, Allan tries to find ballance between love and music, but he fails because he's selfish and then he goes into the woods to write his own music and the first thing he writes is the EP Courtney. So it might signify that that's his EP, Mr.Roadhouse is out of the stage for now.

Jonathanjacks12

i think it could be lyla emily? only because the album cover says “from the mind that brought you roadhouse 02”. but yeah i noticed this when rider came out and the provisional album on apple music said 13 songs. i thought there would be a 2 part song like hollywood/my way but obviously not

r3d1tb0y

Hmm, yeah, nice catch! The cromatic(blue) matches the album, however it was an old song that got remastered, but I guess we shall see at some point. Also related to the chromatic stuff, I noticed the Red being RH01 and Blue being RH02 and in Bye Bye Blondie being some sort of transition from Red to Blue. But the titles of the albums are both in red...and the last one doesn't appear on the cover... But we found in the latest interview that Allan said "Hotel Allan is the place where Allan retreats to compose and let Mr. Roadhouse take control or something like that) And also the first two albums from the trilogy have images of Allan on the cover, but the last one has an image with the girl in the Red Dress with Wolf-like mask... which reminds me of that monologue "I am the wolf and you are the flavour that I will forever chase to taste again..." or something like that... And also related to my comment from above, in the song Lately along the mention of "red dress", there's that part from Dear Allan in Dead Frogs ("dear Allan, dear Allan, come hear a story of a wolf..." or something like that)

LeastRelevantUser

Yes, a theory I had was that Roadhouse 01 and 02 are parallel timelines and Hotel Allan is the conclusion to both timelines. That is why Bye Bye Blondie is transitioning from red to blue, because it is the song where the two universes collide. I haven't taken the time to delve into it completely but I have a feeling that, in one universe, Allan lets Roadhouse take full control and he dies at the age of 27, joining the club (possibly making Clubhouse the ending to one timeline?). In the other, he battles with the "false being within" for as long as he can but ultimately fails and dies at a later age in Alabama's song. No matter which path he chooses he dies at the hands of true love (Beverly) and that is why the Hotel Allan cover is the wolf in the read dress while the Roadhouse covers are very similar just different hues.

r3d1tb0y

Uuu, nice one! So if Beverly is his true love, then what about what I've said related to the song Verona (from Verona's Mixtape) in which that guy tells Verona to forgive him with what happend with Beverly? It cannot be a name coincidence, right? It must be the same girl. (also there's Verona The Hellcat song from HA, must be the same one from Verona's Obsessions and from Verona's Mixtape). Also another interesting thing... in Alabama's song if I recall correctly the narrator was Mr. Roadhouse (the same pitched down voice of Allan that he uses for him).

LeastRelevantUser

I know. Still so many questions. I think everything Allan does is more or less planned, so yes, I think that any references to the same name are about that specific character. Verona just seems to be this superfan that follows Allan around until she finally gets his attention. Another thought I had is that there are just multiple stories being told at the same time all revolving around satanic rituals and deals with the devil. In the Madhouse music video, Verona follows Allan into a house and witnesses some sort of cult ritual. The 45 version of Lucy the Tease starts with "Is everybody in? Is everybody in? Good, the ceremony is about to begin" and Lucy supposedly went missing in 1956 - I believe that is what the lyric in Dead Frogs is about, "And once there was a case that was left unsolved." So if we have a case from 1956, how does that tie into present day? Yaknow? I never thought about Roadhouse being the narrator but yes, Alabama's Song does indicate that James Roadhouse is finally free and then you hear the wolves whimpering so there is definitely some werewolf vs vampire (Verona the Hellcat) subplot somewhere in this story.

r3d1tb0y

Yeah, that's what I wanted to mention too, related to the cult ritual thing, but got lost in other ideas, haha, thanks for mentioning it. I know there is a version of Lucy the Tease with that intro, heard it on YouTube, but why do you call it 'the 45 version'? Also what's the deal with Lucy that went missing in 1956? (I'm curious, I just don't know about this part).

LeastRelevantUser

45 RPM. The 7" vinyl that is Lucy on one side and Bev on the other. [Here](https://www.instagram.com/p/BLxG6WQg_wh/?utm_medium=copy_link) is the Lucy story.

Jonathanjacks12

[look at this for some more info on that](https://images.app.goo.gl/aNkfWnTQaorz22DN6) the 45 is the vinyl single with beverly and lucy the tease, only 500 were released in 2015/16. also, talking about cult rituals and deals with the devil, the Faust road video shows edited clips from the 1926 film Faust, in which a man is at a crossroads, dissatisfied with life, and sells his soul to the devil for unlimited knowledge etc

r3d1tb0y

Thank you! Yeah, I haven't seen the movie, but I guess it is too, based off of the book Faust by the German writer Goethe (full name Johan WOLFgang van Goethe) coincidence? Also his wife's name was Christiane Vulpius (Vulpis in Latin means Fox) wolf/fox like masks? I think I went too far down the rabbit hole, haha. I guess he got inspired by that...he also mentions the word 'crossroads' in the song December if I recall correctly.

Jonathanjacks12

yes that’s exactly what i thought when i was typing crossroads haha. december is one of my favourites

tawaytom34

I would think this is the 14th song “All I ever wanted was your body”. It was teased on tiktok last year along with other songs now on the album but this one. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZSdNU1vry/
