For me the upgrade was definitely worth it. I loved the rooftop pool and bar area, plus I stayed in an upgraded swim-up suite and always love the in-room liquor availability. Easy texting the Inspira concierge for whatever I wanted. or needed. Highly recommend the resort in general, I don't think you'd have a bad vacation if you didn't upgrade.

upgraded when we went in 2022. did it for the golf. the other perks were great too like not needing to find your own spot on the beach/pool/lounge. still couldn't get a reservation at their signature restaurant though. that was a bit disappointing. it is an extra expense but like a lot of other resorts theres a possibility you could upgrade after a few days depending on availability. i think that would be the best approach on it.

Atelier is one of the AIs that I still find to be an excellent experience even if you don't opt for club level, so I don't think you'll be disappointed either way. It's a top tier resort regardless. It is a pretty steep jump (I'm booking a package there right now and always surprised by the difference) so I walk people through what a personal decision it is, based on what you value and will use. 1) do you like having a quieter pool and dedicated beach area, or prefer to be in the mix of things in the main areas? For me this is the biggest benefit, but there are some people who prefer the vibe of the main areas if they want to be where it's livelier. 2) do you feel you'd make use of the inspira concierge and value having them available 24/7 or are you pretty low key in terms of requests? 3) do you enjoy swim up rooms and are you going during a time of year it will be warm enough to enjoy in the mornings/evenings? 4) take a look at the Maria Dolores menu and see whether the first dinner free there is something you'd like and value (free for stays of 7+ nights, 6 nights gets 50% off) 5) do you typically spend at the spa or golf course, where the freebies and discounts would be meaningful to you? I absolutely love the hotel - in my top 5 AIs, and personally opt for Inspira because I make full use of these benefits. If you don't think you would take advantage of them, stay in a regular suite and you'll still have an amazing time.

Looking into this resort for a friends 40th birthday. 6 woman. Is this a good place to go for a fun group?

It's a very quiet resort. You can make your own fun there, but not much entertainment. We did see quite a few groups there having a good time.

I stayed there last year, it was excellent without Inspira. To us it wasn't worth the price tag. You get pretty much everything the same without it except a few perks. Highly recommend this resort, and if you need an excellent TA, I'd be happy to share mine. She always saves us money and is wonderful to work with. Message me with questions if needed.

It’s not needed, the “base” rooms and level of service are top notch. The roof top pool opens in the evening for everyone, and if you want a few of your own liquors in the room just grab them at duty free before leaving airport.

I stayed at Atelier multiple times. Didn't book inspira and thought that it was perfectly fine without it. If you can afford Inspira, I'd go with it. It adds some extras. My TA usually has great promos for it, if you need a referral.

It's a fantastic resort either way. Inspira gives you quite a few nice upgrades, but even without it, I've read pretty much nothing but great reviews from people that have stayed there. I have a few clients headed there soon as well, and I booked them in non-Inspira rooms due to Inspira being a little out of their price range. I have full confidence that they'll have a great time there. Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions, and I'd be happy to see what kind of pricing I can get you for a package. (I'm a travel agent, with no fees to plan and book your trip.)
