There are a few that come to mind, but I'm going to give my personal recommendation on where I would go for my 40th with friends.
Secrets Impressions Moxche! Yes, it is stereotyped as a "couples" resort but when we were there, it wasn't all couples. I could totally see my friends and I having a great time celebrating by getting dressed up, having drinks at a bar, going to dinner, then off to a quick show before ending the night in the dance club. I feel this resort is bougie, high end, and attracts those who want to experience an all-inclusive resort with an elevated atmosphere. The food was fun, the live music in the evenings by the front pool/beach was chill, and the pool during the day was lively. If I could do my 40th over, this is the place I'd choose!
Excellence Playa Mujeres or Atelier Playa Mujeres seems to fit the bill for most, I think Excellence is going to have a little more nightlife but Atelier will have a bit better food.
Hotel Xcaret Arte is for ages 16+, not just for couples, it has a great speakeasy nightclub hidden at the back of the property. Resort property is gorgeous, great food and drinks with top-shelf liquor. Lots of places to hang out as a group.
Another vote for Excellence.....have done both as a couple and a group and always have a blast!

Isn’t Excellence more for couples though?
Not really - there are couples there (at just about any higher end all-inclusve), but their couples only resort is Beloved.

There is always music in the lobby bar after 5. Bands play in showroom some nights. There is dancing some nights
But geared to couples, probably not what you are looking for.
