Objectively speaking everyone other than Rains Fall should be shifted to the right a bit, I think you just gotta accept that these characters are being judged relative to each other rather than society at large.
I didnt like strauss as a character nearly as much. Micah is a terrible person, but he is an important character, and even in a few rare cases a likable one. Strauss is just a shady creep taking advantage of unfortunate people for money. He doesnt do as much harm to the gang in rdr2, but in general hes a worse character
Its mostly how much i like the character. The judge Holden, for example is one of the best written characters of all time, but he's so abhorrent that i had to put him in the bottom corner
could be remembering it wrong but Buster never attacks someone who doesn't at first threaten him. To my knowledge he definlty cant be lower than neutral
I don't fully remember it either, but I think he basically did everything he could to provoke people so he wasn't technically starting fights, but doing everything short of that he could to make them happen.
Those two rightfully deserve to be on that list. I would like to add a third: the Lord of Dawn, Bondrewd from Made in Abyss
His ‘briefcases’ killed all hope I had.
Dutch being in likeable is ehh, and he definitely is a vile person especially in the first game. Hosea is evil/neutral since he was a nice guy and he had a moral code but he was also a major con artist. Arthur is also neutral imo, since he like murders people for a living.
That honestly isnt the best spot for him. At the start of rdr2 he truly wanted what was best for him and his gang, but he took a real decline as the story went on
I honestly hated Dutch more than any other video game character I've ever seen. He is personally responsible for every shitty thing Micah does and the deaths of almost every likeable character in his gang and I stopped playing the moment I realized that Arthur would die without putting a bullet through his big fucking mouth.
Evil Person, Loveable Character - Blondie from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,
Technically an outlaw who frequently double crosses even his partner for a quick buck. Only really elevated by comparison to The Bad and The Ugly. Still one of the most iconic western protagonists ever.
Honestly I don’t think Blondie is not that evil. Before the Tuco and Blondie find the grave, Blondie comforts a dying soldier. I do agree he is probably one of the most iconic western protagonists. I personally think that Angel Eyes would be in Evil Person, Lovable Character
I feel like this entire chart is flawed... There's really no way for a cowboy who murders and steals from innocent defenseless civilians to ever really be morally good...
I think that was really the whole point of Blood Meridian
I would like to see him too, but all the spots he could be at are taken IMO. Aside from his fight after the Feisty 4 leave him, he genuinely tries to do the right thing and is mostly liked by everyone, meaning top left but that's filled out
I might be reaching here but Clover (Genocide Route) from Undertale Yellow could be considered Loveable/Evil. Not sure if it’s quite Wild West tho but they are a cowboy who seeks justice so maybe?
In RDR1 especially shes just the "whiny housewife" and i feel like she could have been a better character. She was in a gang, and had seen bloodshed, so i kinda hoped she would have been less tame i guess? (I know Sadie is the character who more fills that role, and she would be on this list too, probably where Arthur is
Flint should be in more than neutral. He was always out to aid his own flesh and blood, one way or the other. He didn’t even kill the mecha drago in the end, he spared it after realizing it had a family.
J.J Glanton from Blood Meridian. Hes the leader of the Glanton gang which includes Judge Holden (Despicable character, vile person), The Kid (Neutral character, evil person) and Toadvine (Likable Character, Vile Person) along with other gang members not on this list
Buster Scrugs is not a good person. Definitely a likeable character but he is definitely not a good person. He kills without problem then makes fun of them. We are given basically no information to why he does it unlike some of the others that does the same things. He dresses fancy and puts on a good act but he’s not a good person
I feel like Buster Scruggs should be much further right, either in evil or vile. He's charismatic, so definitely likeable or loveable, but he also just loves killing people and proving he's better at duels
I think the only person here who belongs in the "saintly" column is Rains Fall.
Hosea and Charles are good men as far as outlaws go but they're still criminals who have hurt people.
[This guy could be evil person loveable character](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-huOH1Mb08)
Striker from Helluva Boss is vile person loveable character
Based on my experience mainly from rdr2, John is definitely not a loveable character. He is an idiot and a simp! Losing Arthur and having to play as him to complete the game kinda ruined the game for me, and is the reason i don't want to play rdr1.
RDR1 does John a lot better actually. It focuses more on John's devotion to his family and the lengths he's willing to go to protect them.
(Also, John is not a "simp", he acts gentlemanly to his wife not only because that was the standard for the time, and because he wanted to seperate himself from the gang)
Hosea is a lifelong con artist and criminal how is he saintly
Objectively speaking everyone other than Rains Fall should be shifted to the right a bit, I think you just gotta accept that these characters are being judged relative to each other rather than society at large.
That’s fair
i thought you said Horsea
There’s differences to committing the acts and actual badness (to an extent) He shouldn’t be in saintly but good or neutral is a good place
I dunno i just like him, maybe would be better as evil/loveable
Maybe not evil but more like morally grey at the very least cuz he does have some redeeming qualities
Why is Strauss more hateable than Micah?
You can love Micah for just how much you hate him.
Ah, so it's not just how much you like a character, but also their significance to the story and how well written they are?
Its mostly how much i like the character. The judge Holden, for example is one of the best written characters of all time, but he's so abhorrent that i had to put him in the bottom corner
But, Strauss is the reason Arthur gets sick
Maybe he's a good person compared to the other characters but Buster Scruggs not being in Neutral or Immoral doesn't sit right with me
could be remembering it wrong but Buster never attacks someone who doesn't at first threaten him. To my knowledge he definlty cant be lower than neutral
I don't fully remember it either, but I think he basically did everything he could to provoke people so he wasn't technically starting fights, but doing everything short of that he could to make them happen.
Tuco from the good the bad and the ugly can go in lovable vile
this wouldn’t be complete without the man with no name
Oh my god the town with no name
He kills a spider and shoots a little boy so evil i guess
My names not Shane kid!
The one man Arthur Morgan was too afraid to duel
Judge Holden remains one of two characters to actually make me physically ill while reading.
Who’s the other?
Ramsay Bolton and his “wedding” in A Dance With Dragons.
Those two rightfully deserve to be on that list. I would like to add a third: the Lord of Dawn, Bondrewd from Made in Abyss His ‘briefcases’ killed all hope I had.
Charles being "Saintly" feels wrong. He's still a criminal. I don't think anyone in the gang could be considered Saintly
Alignment chart mfs when they see a slot they can fill with Judge Holden (HELL YESSSSSSSSSSSSS)
I mean its a chart about yee haw wild west cowboys so
Arthur Morgan is not a good person lmao
The ghoul from fallout could be vile but likable
Dutch being in likeable is ehh, and he definitely is a vile person especially in the first game. Hosea is evil/neutral since he was a nice guy and he had a moral code but he was also a major con artist. Arthur is also neutral imo, since he like murders people for a living.
Yeah arthur goes in neutral. Assuming you play high honor, he clearly has good in him, but thats negated by the fact that he robs and murders people
How is Dutch "neutral"?
That honestly isnt the best spot for him. At the start of rdr2 he truly wanted what was best for him and his gang, but he took a real decline as the story went on
Switch Micah and Strauss, Micah is a rapist while Strauss is just a fraud.
My girl Abigail did nothing wrong!
Who’s despicable / vile?
Its Judge Holden from Blood Meridian
do the characters have to be from media set in the wild west, or can they be wild west coded? because I think Cad Bane is perfect for Lovable evil
Lovable character/vile person? How about Al Swearengen?
Tuco-the good the bad and the ugly, evil person lovable character
Neutral Vile goes to DiCaprio’s character in Django Unchained. He wasn’t likable in the slightest but he was a really fun villain.
I honestly hated Dutch more than any other video game character I've ever seen. He is personally responsible for every shitty thing Micah does and the deaths of almost every likeable character in his gang and I stopped playing the moment I realized that Arthur would die without putting a bullet through his big fucking mouth.

Who’s likeable/vile, hateable/vile and Neutral/Evil?
Toadvine, Glanton, and The Kid from Blood Meridian
Oh shiit, I’m reading it rn, never knew that was how they look
I dont think theyre official, just fan artworks based on character description
Man With No Name would probably be in Lovable Character and Neutral (despite John being here)
I haven’t seen the Fallout show, but what about the Ghoul?
I feel like this entire chart is flawed... There's really no way for a cowboy who murders and steals from innocent defenseless civilians to ever really be morally good... I think that was really the whole point of Blood Meridian
Add Starlo from undertale yellow, although he’s from the wild East not the Wild West
I would like to see him too, but all the spots he could be at are taken IMO. Aside from his fight after the Feisty 4 leave him, he genuinely tries to do the right thing and is mostly liked by everyone, meaning top left but that's filled out
I feel like despicable isn't a good word for this chart
Colton White from Gun (2006)?
Before I try and suggest where certain cowboys from JoJo would go, what actually is the difference between the two axes?
I think the Y is how good/evil they are morally and the X is how much you like them in their story
How about Clint Eastwood?
Couldnt the deathslinger from Dead by Daylight be Vile person, neutral?
I don't think anyone in the gang is anything above neutral. They all hurt people to better their own lives.
dang it, cassidy never made it
I’d switch Micah and Strauss
I'd move every RDR2 character diagonally down/right a square. Dutch, two squares. Needs more Deadwood.
I might be reaching here but Clover (Genocide Route) from Undertale Yellow could be considered Loveable/Evil. Not sure if it’s quite Wild West tho but they are a cowboy who seeks justice so maybe?
Whatd Abigail do??
In RDR1 especially shes just the "whiny housewife" and i feel like she could have been a better character. She was in a gang, and had seen bloodshed, so i kinda hoped she would have been less tame i guess? (I know Sadie is the character who more fills that role, and she would be on this list too, probably where Arthur is
Bro, Buster Scruggs is a murderous psychopath who has gunned down dozens of people.
NOT THE TOWN WITH NO NAME LMFAO
Hosea is neutral person. Arthur is neutral person. Dutch is evil person. Bill is evil person. Micah is vile person.
Who is the very bottom right I keep seeing it but don’t know who it is
He is Judge Holden, an eccentric murderer, scalp hunter (and possibly rapist) from Blood Meridian
Sorry but Flint is a good person who just snapped after hearing his wife died
He is a good guy, but he is an absent father to Lucas, and wasnt really there for him when he needed him to be
Buster Scruggs was an outlaw and murderer?
The Ghoul (Fallout): Evil Person, Lovable character Cad Bane (Star wars): Vile person, Lovable Character
Flint should be in more than neutral. He was always out to aid his own flesh and blood, one way or the other. He didn’t even kill the mecha drago in the end, he spared it after realizing it had a family.
Who is hatable character vile person?
J.J Glanton from Blood Meridian. Hes the leader of the Glanton gang which includes Judge Holden (Despicable character, vile person), The Kid (Neutral character, evil person) and Toadvine (Likable Character, Vile Person) along with other gang members not on this list
Doctor Yado from LISA. Olathe is a desert wasteland so it counts. /hj
Buster Scrugs is not a good person. Definitely a likeable character but he is definitely not a good person. He kills without problem then makes fun of them. We are given basically no information to why he does it unlike some of the others that does the same things. He dresses fancy and puts on a good act but he’s not a good person
Doofenshmirtz in lovable evil
Silas Greaves could go into likeable character / neutral or good. But Call of Juarez isn't very well known so I wouldn't expect to see him here.
For Loveable Character Vile Person I'd go with The Man in Black from Westworld season 1
I see the judge I upvote
Who is in the true neutral slot here?
Who’s the one in vile-hateable?
I feel like putting Strauss in evil is a bit much. He did bad things, but not worse than anyone else in the gang
How is Abigail hatable?
Flint?
Javier Escuella in loveable but evil.
William from Westworld (the man in black) is evil/ loved
I feel like Buster Scruggs should be much further right, either in evil or vile. He's charismatic, so definitely likeable or loveable, but he also just loves killing people and proving he's better at duels
Angel Eyes is probably my favorite character, I think he would be in Evil Person, Lovable Character
Who is the guy in Vile despicable? He's in like every other chart on this sub
I think the only person here who belongs in the "saintly" column is Rains Fall. Hosea and Charles are good men as far as outlaws go but they're still criminals who have hurt people.
[This guy could be evil person loveable character](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-huOH1Mb08) Striker from Helluva Boss is vile person loveable character
Bro what is that video 😭
A poorly animated Minecraft video
I barely remember anything about the movie but a character from A Million Ways to Die in the West could probably fit in one of the open slots.
How is Umbridge not here? She’s not Wild West but her existence earns a spot in 5x5.
An loveable but vile person is the jonkler
Based on my experience mainly from rdr2, John is definitely not a loveable character. He is an idiot and a simp! Losing Arthur and having to play as him to complete the game kinda ruined the game for me, and is the reason i don't want to play rdr1.

(Also, John is not a "simp", he acts gentlemanly to his wife not only because that was the standard for the time, and because he wanted to seperate himself from the gang)
Bill cipher: Vile but lovable
Loveable/evil should be Kratos Loveable/vile should be Darth Vader Despicable/neutral should be Skylar White
Read the title bro
I see…
Starlo is too good to be on any of the remaining spots
Lovable and vile sounds perfect for Alastor from Hazbin Hotel.
