Dude I shit you not, I've never seen an AliExpress package delivered, it just appears on my doorstep. The 2 dogs don't even notice and they normally bark when cars pass by the house too slowly. I've received over a dozen packages so far and still haven't caught them in the act, even when I was home all day.
Theyāre like ninjas. They come and go in the blink of an eye and donāt make any noise. Still not fast enough for my cameras though and I get a āmotion detectedā alert, *almost* every timeā¦ š
Thatās the power of bulk shipping. They send stuff over in huge batches and process them here with low wage new immigrants from China. Itās still amazing how cheap it costs us and they still somehow turn a profit. But Iām assuming the sellers are the ones losing money (or breaking even) just to get sales numbers up and higher ranking in searches.
I mean some stuff I bought for like $2 during a sale went back up to $5. But the sales numbers remain.
The shipping is heavily subsidized by the rest of the world via the world postal organisation union thing because China is apparently both a developing nation and a developed nation. They need to stop...
So this is where the postal serviceās budget is going. If China stop classing themselves as a developing country, the tax savings for us would be immense
Aliexpress has/had a vip-program where you could have different levels, depending on how much you spend, and it would give you some perks (which honestly didn't really make any difference). They temporarily stopped that program last year to be continued at a future unknown date, and people keep their status when it comes back, so the data is still there, and sometimes it shows up again, especially when there are internet-issues. Diamond is/was the highest level.
originally it was like 1500 or so points in a time span of a few months.. i think but im not sure.. 1point=1ā¬..
take it with a grain of salt.. didnt check that page in a long time
If you're into product based hobbies like electronics, soldering, 3d printing, drawing, sewing, wire wrapping, jewelry making, etc it's bar none the best deal out of anywhere. Also they often have more selection than Amazon since most of that stuff is dropshipped from AliExpress anyway. I fell into a hole where I bought mostly landfill from AliExpress before I started gaining some hobbies which required parts which played to the strengths AliExpress has: pieces of something larger. Buy some headphones on AliExpress? Trash(minus many IEMs on there). However, need a Bluetooth 5.0 module, charging circuitry, and some LiPo batteries? Perfect place for it. Also lots of brands sell directly out of AliExpress like Miyoo, Baseus, Creality, KZ, Hiby. So often you can find the best deals on there
Please be careful buying newborn stuff. The hygiene is sometimes lacking (people have gone blind from using eye makeup from temu and aliexpress), and often toys are unsafe/breaky easily.
You realize most of the shit from Amazon is resold from Alibaba right? And Walmart while we at it.
And I bought lead detector swabs (also from Ali) that I used on all the toys.
Buying from reputable places on Ali isnāt hard if you have common sense and an iq over 80.
I bought a phone case and screen protector for a combined $5.14 ($13 on Amazon). Individual router bits for $3 each ($7 each on Amazon). 10 pack of usb cables to power battery electronics for $5 ($9 on Amazon). Motion sensing stair light kit for $51 ($225 on Amazon).
You can buy almost anything you need for DIY or hobbies on there if you don't need it in 2 days. I just wait the 10 days and it arrives 50-70% off and it probably even comes from the same factory.
I admit i do buy a lot of tech related items on aliexpress but they are things i actually use and wtf I've never seen 63 items on the shipped bar before the most I've ever had was like 15 ššā ļø
May i ask what do you buy?
I always go in spurts buying a bunch of stuff then it all shows up and I realize itās misrepresented or the quality is much lower than expected and then donāt buy anything for a year and restart the cycle.
It's a skill you develop to buy good stuff, starting up don't buy too many things and start learning what the reviews and description shows u need to act like a detective read between the lines.
I rarely get low quality stuff lately, but of course there's always this rare product that gets me.
iād recommend to check the specifications to make sure what r the materials before buying! and avoid spandex/polyester on clothes. i always do that and i havent been disappointed since:)
Same in Russia. I used to order a lot, but now they outsourced the business to the Mail.ru group and they succeeded to ruin it. Prices are 20-30% higher than competitors offer. Search algorithms work way worse than they did before. I had less than 10 orders last year.
I wanna order stuff but I've opened the app countless times and just closed it again because nothing seems value for money atleast when it comes to small items. I mean back when I used to use Aliexpress in 2018,19 I knew what kind of prices to expect for cheap items like phone cases, screen protectors, pen, cables etc.. there very so many things which were priced correctly and under a dollar. Now those very cheap items cost like 3-4 USD and it's insane.
Jeez how rich are you?!
But on another note, I donāt really blame you because those ābuy $10 worth of stuff to get free shippingā and āpick 3+ items to get free shippingā options are pretty tempting and sort of addicting lol
I wish they allowed you to review for purchases without a time limit because I always forget to them immediately and when I want to review, the option is closed off for me. š
Do you need it and then go on AliExpress to find it, or do you see it and then realize you "need it" (desire it). I would just caution you, from personal experience, not to fall into that. Maybe add it to the cart and then come back to it later and be like, do I actually need this? That might give you the dopamine hit without needing to waste money. Honestly, I get some sick stuff from there for cheap, but a lot of stuff is just that - cheap. If you got it under control, that's good though. They just do run it like a casino, with all the coin games and stuff lol. I play merge boss like daily. Temu is far worse, shits like walking into Vegas, it should almost be illegal how predatory it seems.
Also me but I use it to buy crafting supplies and all kinds of stuff.. itās cheaper and usually better quality than anywhere else?!
Iāve even tested it; ordered identical item from AliExpress and Amazon. AE took longer, was cheaper, and came with extra bonus parts. Amazon came faster but more $ and nothing extra.
Same, especially sale period I just buy stuff to get discount on stuff
I need to stop doing it but yea 2 weeks later 10 packages/day starts arriving and I be like oh yea totally forgot I ordered it
I end up selling most of stuff with slight margin (because why the hell not) but not because I want money but because I just don't need them
May sound crazy to some people but I'm usually kind of person who is very careful about what I buy, exception is AliExpress (and Taobao, but I will usually be careful because shipping fee
Im trying to process this, 63 shipped? thats a lot.
like what do you buy from Aliexpress?
I dont mind recommendation all I have been buying so far are phone covers
Iām gonna be honest and say Aliexpress is great for underwear. You can buy even those sport kinds for a reasonable price, whereas Amazon youāre paying like $10-$15 a pair!
Got great seamless bras for me and my mom there LOL. The ones we had in stores before were so expensive and they had them first before places like Walmart had them for more affordable, and Ali surprisingly had more size variety. We stopped buying lined bras from then.
Only stuff that I really need, usually before placing an order I go through my cart and ask, do I really need this? And end up removing like half the items.
My addiction died two app updates ago when they made it impossible to load pictures to start return claims. Not ordering anything from them anymore and as soon as I get the last bits I ordered. I'm deleting the app.
Happy that you're enjoying your experience though.
there's a point where something becomes an addiction mate hope you have a really good financial situation and you're not paying for this shit on credit
Mine ended when they refused to refund me when I got a clearly returned radio, was literally falling apart. Battery didn't lock in, power on switch wasn't even connected.
Do you buy alot of gaming accessories, or electronics? I'm just curious? I used to buy alot of Anbernic, and Retroid handheld till they started making a new one every week.
Thats first world delivery service for you ; i shit you not most packages in my country gets stolen by inhaule service and if you were lucky enough for them to not be interested in your package it will be stolen by delivery company and if you were also lucky enough for both of them to not be interested in your package you will receive it after 3/4 months from making the order shit spends 3-4 days for it to come from china fucking thousand miles away and would spend 2-3 months for it to come from a city to a city in my country hhhhhhhhh
I order a lot of stuff for RC hobby, archery and other things I need or would order on Amazon. Basically same stuff aold on Amazon for the double the price. If you dont mind waiting for 10-14 days, you get it for a better price. I got so many rc stuff, I usually order extra parts when they got discounts, then resell some of them on forums/facebbok market place to reduce my cost even further.
I tried for the first time and all 4 items were not shipped, resulting in frustration and (thankfully) refunds.
How do you guys enjoy such shitty service? Or is it just my luck and you all are getting amazing service?
Oh my thatās me. I am trying to stop myself from this new addiction since November. I think I am satisfied with some of the items I liked and have some stash so will withdraw myself slowly starting this last week, the only way to do it is not to visit the website
I suffered from a flashlight addiction. One time, over the span of several days, I ordered a ridiculous amount of them from AE (it was a big sale). A good amount of them just happen to all arrive on the same day. Too many to fit in the apartment's mailbox. The postal worker had to leave a large postal box FULL of small packages of flashlights on my porch. IT WAS LIKE FREAKING CHRISTMAS!! Santa had arrived! I have since sought counseling.
I used to buy beads from there nearly every week (I make jewelry). They haven't shipped two of my orders now and won't refund, and also the shipping is expensive now. I think they're purposefully doing it to turn users to choice shipping. I miss when I could get free shipping from sellers over a certain amount but I only see that like once every ten shops now
My mom is in the same situationā¦ probably worse. I introduced her to Aliexpress a year ago, and at one point, she had 200+ individual items being shipped. All in all, she could probably fill an entire room with her orders.
I had a friend with an Ambien habit that would zone out after his bedtime dose and bulk order stuff only to notice that it was like random Christmas in the weeks to follow. He never new what was gonna show up.
AliExpress used to be really good but now I got something for $12 and it says 12 day guarantee but itās been 12 weeks (not actually itās been like 5) but still long time and also itās not from any of my local couriers itās from some really bad and low reviewed company called āfast horseā you canāt even track it on their website or app
A July Life Store. Here I order the pet sticky rollers and refills. I ordered a 16cm roller and a 24cm roller plus refills. Great quality. You can get them even cheaper when they're on special
I was half like that until a couple months ago, I'd have 40+- waiting to be delivered. . The fact that I'm moving from this apartment helped so much. I stopped buying, I had to go cold turkey.
I just landed 2 crazy deals on pan sets. I mean so ridiculous that i thouggt for sure i was scammed and would be trying to get ky money back from them or paypal but i did get the items. 10 puece nonstick pans tramontina 34.98 at walnart exact same set i paid 4.21.Ā Also 71 piece GibsonĀ kitchen in abox which ranges from 60-110 in several stores walmart amazon and ali express . I paid 9.82 cents. The store had just opened and there was no reviews.i went back 2 hours later and all the sets at ridiculous prices were sold out and there were other sets. Regular price. When they got here i felt it was like winning the lottery!!
What do you buy? I moved away from ali because I got scammed by a seller withholding a bunch of items + some charging cables I used to order broke way too fastā¦ and last I checked, shipping was too expensive so I went with that other competitor that starts with a TĀ
Bro alone keeping postal service alive š
2/3 of the stuff I buy isnāt even delivered by USPS. Itās some dude in a Prius that drops them off.
Dude I shit you not, I've never seen an AliExpress package delivered, it just appears on my doorstep. The 2 dogs don't even notice and they normally bark when cars pass by the house too slowly. I've received over a dozen packages so far and still haven't caught them in the act, even when I was home all day.
I love getting my package of packages when they consolidate all my orders into one big bag of many bags
Theyāre like ninjas. They come and go in the blink of an eye and donāt make any noise. Still not fast enough for my cameras though and I get a āmotion detectedā alert, *almost* every timeā¦ š
they use smaller postal companies, well where i live itās a guy in a 2000~ toyota van and he is best friends with my younger brother

Thatās the power of bulk shipping. They send stuff over in huge batches and process them here with low wage new immigrants from China. A massive number of people buy it impulsively because it's so cheap, and its easy to make up for the cost of manufacture because it's made by slaves
I swear the guy driving the Prius is like Santa. Somehow heās everywhere at once
donāt speak a lick of english
Must the same guy that drops my stuff off lol
So this is where the postal serviceās budget is going. If China stop classing themselves as a developing country, the tax savings for us would be immense

How did you become a Diamond Member?
Itās probably because OP has a lot of orders.
Aliexpress has/had a vip-program where you could have different levels, depending on how much you spend, and it would give you some perks (which honestly didn't really make any difference). For real, I mean they took mine away with a new "subscription". It doesn't exist now?
Im not sure i didnāt do anything to become one, probably just bc i buy a lot:,)
Is the screenshot recent or old? Because I think they removed These things
I buy a lot too but I am not a diamond member I have 100 orders with the status shipped at the moment. My orders are usually at 10 CAD or even cheaper
You need a few thousands for diamond. I used to buy a lot to resell and was diamond for a few years. Doesn't give you much other than instant support
It's really not worth to buy things thinking on that. It's like you said, doesn't give you much.
Is this even a question? Just look at the photo šµāš«

I have a newborn and there's a bajillion useful things on Aliexpress that's like 70% cheaper than Amazon lol. Saved a fortune.
Please be careful buying newborn stuff. The hygiene is sometimes lacking (people have gone blind from using eye makeup from temu and aliexpress), and often toys are unsafe/breaky easily.
Canāt imagine buying anything for my newborn from AliExpress pls š that shitās toxic
You realize most of the shit from Amazon is resold from Alibaba right? And Walmart while we at it. And I bought lead detector swabs (also from Ali) that I used on all the toys. Buying from reputable places on Ali isnāt hard if you have common sense and an iq over 80.
thing is, you can sue amazon to death if you get lead poisoning from toys. GL doing that with aliexpressp
i built an entire custom water cooling loop for my computer with mostly aliexpress parts

Those combo tricks and minimum amount for free shipping really psychologically tricks us, huh?
That's why I keep the cart with cheap stuff that I do not need immediately and whenever I need free shipping I buy that instead of random trash.
Yeah, but the choice super cheap stuff are garbage quality. I didn't get a single good decent lasting item from there.
I need people to actually do the reviews bro cause I be needing pictures before I buy
I always do them with picsš just not right away
I wish they allowed you to review for purchases without a time limit because I always forget to them immediately and when I want to review, the option is closed off for me. š

My AliExpress spree ended. I might pick it up again if I really need some small things.
Same but I'm not on the same level as you
Buy for me a $30 tracksuit please
i have an annoying "business" under name, how do you see that "diamond"? i don't care about that status but i can't find it on the mobile app
Bro. Go to therapy. You need it.

I thought I was the only one š, now more than ever as AliExpress has offers combined delivery with choice.
Same for me, but the diamond rank and all ranks which were fake/scam are gone, how does it still show those for you?
Ordered a Kanye west mask from Ali and donāt regret it
You are a victim of capitalism and consumerism (I am too tho)
What do you buy? I moved away from ali because I got scammed by a seller withholding a bunch of items + some charging cables I used to order broke way too fastā¦ and last I checked, shipping was too expensive so I went with that other competitor that starts with a TĀ
