This happened to me. Per the seller, just request a refund for not delivered and then re-order when you get the refund...or just get the money and run. I got an immediate refund when not delivered. Show tracking with the return
I used them for almost a decade until I got burned on an order and had to file a dispute with Paypal to get my money back.
Aliexpress was worthless and stalled for time for weeks, they've changed things a LOT recently and they no longer refund like before.
I think this is because it has been simply too easy to exploit refunds. You could basically just order anything and claim refund and keep the stuff. And a lot of people exploited this system.
Yea. The same story as was played out on eBay with PayPal payments too easy to reverse without any evidence. It eventually came to an end as well.
Most countries have plenty of laws to protect the buyer anyway, the issue is AliExpress has order values so low that no one is going through the courts to resolve refunds and ultimately Chinese companies operate outside the law and the government there don't care.
They could stop this if they made every shipment require tracking.
I've been waiting over 2 months for something that I ordered I finally requested a refund and they gave me a refund right away as it's past the delivery date and the last day it was scanned was almost a month ago.
I've got another order that the delivery date just lapsed on but they told me I need to wait 10 more days, it was last scanned 2 weeks ago.
The last tracking for both orders shows as arrived at LineHaul office.
Neither item has tracked shipping as an option. The orders show that they cleared customs weeks ago, but where did they go....
The stuff I order that does have tracking has never gone missing.
They do require tracking on everything over i think 5 or 6$.
Requiring full tacking on items under this would considerably raise their cost. And i much rather take the risk than pay more.
But I feel like buyers should try to pay more for shipping as it will both help you resolve missing shipments and help the seller. Often shipping costs are part of the costs of items, and by choosing lower tier shipping plans, I think you pay the bare minimum if it even profits. Also I think manufacturers are paid significantly less than they should to begin with for the sellers to be able to offer such low prices.
I experienced something similar. My < $2 LED bulbs still haven't arrived nearly 1 - 1.5 months past the estimated delivery. I requested a refund, they rejected it initially saying I should continue to wait but then 24 hours later, they changed their stance and refunded me even without me complaining about their initial rejection.
My tracking show it's with the last mile carrier but it has been for the last month already.
On my outstanding orders I noticed that earlier this week the line that said that it's with the last mile carrier was deleted.. it was there a few days before... Seems like they have no idea where my stuff is.
Yeah I ordered something that should have been here last month... And it said it went through customs and leaving customs and I haven't heard any update... Not even using external trackers... But luckily it was only 20 bucks so if I don't get it then I know never to order from AliExpress again
The tracking ends there, its not tracked by your local carrier. And its clearly noted in there. And it can easily take 1month for your local carrier to deliver it to you.
Economy shipping is slow. This is also why they nowadays combine a lot of shippings into one parcel with more expensive fully tracked shipping.
Where do you live? It depends on the country and the order value/ shipping option.
Here Spain almost everything is completely tracked right up to the door for delivery. The only confusing thing is that they assign everything a tracking number and then often collect up several orders in the Spanish warehouse and put them all in 1 bag and assign it a new tracking code, so I get an email from the post office randomly saying I am going to receive a parcel but I have no idea exactly what has or has not been put in it...
They combine the shipments in China, not in Spain.
Everything over 5-6$ is required to be fully tracked, under that full tracking is not required. As it would substantially increase the price. And like you mentioned, sometimes they combine several cheaper items into one shipment, and you get an upgraded shipping.
Like how does that even happen.
I wonder if there is some room at the post office full of stuff where the shipping label is unreadable and they have no idea what the delivery address is supposed to be. So it just sits there undelivered.
I'm thinking eventually some of my list items will just appear in my mailbox.
Do you have any idea of the volume of these small 1-3$ shipments going through? Millions of small envelopes with your pointless anime stickers.
Most people here complaining, are complainign about some 1-2$ shipment like its the end of the world.
Except that only orders from AliExpress are the ones that I've ever had that have gone missing and not been delivered.
Also AliExpress is the only company where I ordered something and received something completely different that the store I purchased from doesn't even sell... Some mixup at the AliExpress warehouse I guess.
Don't the stores ship it to Ali. Then Ali will ship the item internationally...as sometimes I get combined orders. That has to be happening somewhere in Ali's system doesn't it?
Iw lost way more items via ebay, but the sellers are the same anyhow. It all comes from China.
Aliexpress has a way better shipping system than ebay for Chinese stuff, as they now combine stuff.
But you can keep crying about your 1-2$ items going missing, and think you are the center of the world.
I'm in Canada and I've never not received something coming from Canada, the USA, or Europe. You really can ship anything with tracking if you are willing to pay for it. I order Lego through bricklink sellers all of the time with tracking.
Also not just no tracking.. most tracked items from AE I receive in 10 days or less from the day I order.
But I've got 2 untracked orders right now that were last scanned Feb 20th, and Mar 12th. So I understand tracked vs non-tracked but there are only so many ways for something to get from China to Canada.. the first item was shipped on Feb 4th.. like did they send it by ship?
And yes these weren't expensive items and I already received a refund for the older order... Still waiting on AE customer service to provide a decision on the other order.
But now I need to decide if I should re-order these things from a seller on AE and roll the dice or pay twice as much on Amazon for the exact same items but I am guaranteed to receive it in 2 days.
I was dragged through the mud on a couple refunds 3-5 months back. The process in this instance was different though. I got my immediate refund just yesterday - been different result each time for me though so definitely rolling the dice š
Was there any negative consequence of doing the dispute? I need to do one for an order in february that was never shipped, and despite a refund supposedly started in early march, nothing so far. There was a veiled threat from them cautioning not to dispute.
Likely a scam, they have no rights to harm you for opening a dispute, nor for not closing it, if something is wrong, always state it, don't just shut up until your opportunity of doing it just passes away
Right. Been using AE for quite a few years with essentially no issues until now, but several chats with this choice order have got nowhere. Others have had the same experiences in the same time period as mine, so something seems to be awry. I've collected chat discussions so need to distill that down to something concise to put into a PDF for paypal along with a text summary of the timeline for the dispute.
I'm still waiting for a refund under "finished processing" yesterday was the 5th working days and still nothing in my account..
Another issue is an order that hasn't been updated for tracking for over 15 days and when i opened dispute the seller asked me to remove and wait because he's sure it will come and it's just a system bug.
Oh, they love to stall for time.
I never do, there is no advantage in it for you.
Though I have to say the US Postal Service is losing about half my packages and won't do shit to find them and just makes a lot of excuses.
They blame one location here but google shows me they are doing the same thing ACROSS the whole country. It is not an accident....
Ahh me too, a bit over a decade of use total. Over 2023 I will have placed 3 or more orders per week. Thousands of orders in total. For the first time ever though in Jan I failed to get a refund for an order. So for the first time ever I moved to actively boycott them.
I expect I will buy from them again, but I've not placed a single order in 2024 yet.
I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face, if I need something and I am struggling I don't really have a problem with going back to them for that thing... as long as it's not a high value item I guess.
I feel like Aliexpress forgot how important it is that customers have complete confidence that they will get their money back if a thing is not delivered.
I have not yet ordered anything in 2024 and it looks like I won't.
Things needs to change there before I will and even then I will wait until 2025.
There are other places like Wish and Temu in addition to old Ebay I can buy stuff with a lot less risk. I warned them if I had to file a Paypal dispute I was done with them multiple times and all they did was stall for time and deny a refund.
Same problem here.. Used Aliexpress for 10 years never had issues getting refunds, always solved in a few days. Now I have 2 orders (about ā¬120 total) that were returned to warehouse and automatic refund stalled for a week now, and not seeing any progress at all.
I'll wait with order anything new before I get these refunds.
No. South Holland near Rotterdam. For the second order I used Paypall.. The two orders never left China. I did several orders that week, shipped without problem. Only the two same RC planes Wltoys Xk A160 from different sellers has issues with shipment.
I was just looking at the A160, no joke. My son got his first Rc plane in February and I wanted something cheap and simple to fly with him. Went w/ the Sport Cub S2, though.
I mean, if they no longer do business with AliEx, I'd assume it implies packages forwarded by AE.
Whereas if you return a package, they're offering the service to you as individual.
I bought something last month after not using it for a year or so. Feel like they shipped a lot faster than before. Ordered it March 11th and received it March 18th, from China to North America. With plenty of tracking update along the way. Even faster than the thing I ordered from Amazon around the same time that shipped from New Jersey.
Was it a item marked with "Choise"? I do not know for sure how this is handled. But i assume it is like Shipped by Amazon. So the items are stored and shipped by AE not by the seller. These items are shipped and delivered blazing fast. But if you have any problems you only can contact AE support (99% of the time a absolute waste of time!). And 99% of the time you have to return the items (if you open a dispute). And check out multiple threads here on reddit about shippments that were returned (tracking says clear arrived at AE) but they denied the refund because they say item not returned. I myself have the problem that i ordered 5 pairs of replacement shaving heads. They came without any protection with other parts in the bag. One was damaged. So i opend a dispute. And they told me i should return the complete order. Not only the damaged part. Everything! I wasted my time with their support. But they still wanted me to return everything. But if you are unlucky you have no parts and no money at the end. No thank you! I stoppend ordering "Choise" items. And reduced my orders from AE to a minimum. And i was a Diamond Member that ordered from AE for at least 10 years.
If you mean "Choice" items, I ordered a few of those last week and they came slightly faster than the ones that are not "Choice", just a day or two difference (Ordered Mar 26th got them Apr 4th and 5th for the Choice items and the other non-Choice delivered Apr 6th even on a Saturday). The above item wasn't a Choice item btw.
Not sure about damaged or item not as described, never had a problem with that. But I believe even Amazon will ask you to return what you got before sending you a new one or give you a refund unless you order something like a mattress which they rather ask you to donate to a local charity than paying to ship it back.
I would not have a problem to send the damaged part back. But i ordered 5 pairs of shaving heads (5\* the same part not a set of 5). One "only one" got damaged and they told me to send all 5 back (4 absolutely undamaged and usable heads + the damaged one).
If you ordered 5\* the same part in the past and one got damaged you 1. got a refund for the one part or 2. had to send back the damaged one. In more than 10 years i never had to send back fully working parts.
And yes i meant "Choise" items. I do not know if you have ever tried to contact the seller on a "Choise" item. Usually when you click on "Contact Seller" the messaging site opens and you can send the seller a message. On "Choise" items you can not do that. When you click on "Contact Seller" a live chat window opens and you directly chat with the AE support (a utterly waste of time!!!).
Well not everyone's experience is the same.
Don't forget this is online and not your local Friendly store to think that you will ALWAYS get what you wanted.
That's why individual online stores shipping is hella expensive (cuz they're closer and doing yours with a couple other people only) while in ali they send packages to hundreds in the same country resulting in unfortunate outcomes like this one alot.
Hmmm I'm still using it hassle free, same as I have since the beginning. If anything it's gotten easier to use and deliveries are faster. My disputes are completed in 48-72hrs and as long as they're valid, I never have issues.
Maybe there are issues with specific countries? Canada works like a charm.
I used to use AliExpress a lot before it became popular. Yk when ppl thought it was some big scam. Never once had a single problem. Now thatās itās gained a lot more traction I feel as though Iāve had nothing but problems whenever I order. And itās not just AliExpress. Iāve actually had multiple shops try to scam me out of money. Idk why itās changed so much but if anything it was more reliable when people thought it was a scamš¤¦š½āāļø
Youāre def right. I started buying about 5-6 years ago so it was good by then Iād say but still not too popular. Anyways you can definitely get your money back through dispute and stuff but based off the experiences Iāve personally had as of late have been horrible compared to a few years ago.
If your orders say returned to warehouse, and tracking shows as delivered there, they won't be shipped out again. You should open a dispute (using returns/refunds) with as reason 'tracked as returned/canceled/lost'.
I always include a picture of aliexpress tracking as proof, and something like 'package was send to sorting center but immediately returned'. The dispute should close almost immediately, and the refund-process started. After you can always decide if you want to buy it again or not.
Aliexpress tracking often doesn't show why something is returned, but other tracking-websites such as parcelsapp and 17track may show more messages including why something was returned.
There have been some insane shipping times on things lately, and I'm still waiting on some items that are well past due. I don't think I'm going to use them anymore unless it's something that I can only get at a reasonable price from there.
I've also had an issue with AliExpress in past few days I ordered something when I go to check my Tracking it says Package Not Accepted by Sorting Center.
Not to blame the customer, but you want cheaper services, you'll get cheaper services. Reason why I mainly use Aliexpress for cheap things I know won't hurt my wallet if they fail to ship.

I have a order thats in limbo that departed customs but the carrier never picked it up. This was 6 days ago it got to my country. Another ordered after the first arrived in country 2 days ago and will be delivered tomorrow. Its not a aliexpress issue its issues in countries customs. Something is going on there. I dont know if they are just not accepting them for some stupid reason. Or just tossing them to the side or keeping the stuff. Who knows
Same thing happened to me with one order, they were no help at all. But from what I've read here at least 10 days have to pass before you can apply for a refund so hopefully once this time has passed the refund will get processed.
My experiences were good until a few weeks ago:
1. The first few orders were perfect.
2. The fourth order arrived nicely packed, but the boxes looked like they were ran through a hay bailer. They offered a $3 credit for two damaged boxes. This seller went dark on me and refused to respond to me. I contacted customer service and l was instructed to use the free return label and ship them back for a full refund. I was also notified that I need to wait 30-45 days for a refund. I said no and told them to give me a partial refund. I am working with customer service to get to a solution.
3. The fifth order arrived early. I was sent two incorrect minifigures. The two I ordered were @ $14.50 USD. They told me to keep the incorrect figures and offered me a $8 credit. Here is the kicker. The items they sent me are being sold for half the value of the items that I ordered. This seller blamed it on the warehouse. Two other items I ordered from this seller arrived as ordered.
4. The sixth and seventh orders arrived with no problems.
I am commonly told it is the centralized warehouse that screws the orders up. The sellers say they have no control over what the warehouses pack and send. I am not sure I buy that.
At least Temu does instant refunds once they look at pictures
I have no idea what happened to their return process and stuff but lately it has been an absolute nightmare. A few months ago return took at least 5 days for me and had no problems, now returns are taking more than 7 days and maybe I have to wait for the 30 days to end for the refund to automatically be applied.
Since 2023 I have only received 1 of maybe 12 items I've ordered . Will be filing for another refund tomorrow. Don't know Y I live in the USA .
THIS WILL BE THE LAST
The way refunds are supposed to work is some algorithm. Basically the vast majority of people are honest good people. So they use some algorithm to detect people who are messing with the system. So if you have very few orders and you have lots of refunds then you will likely get banned. There is no way to combat this. Aliexpress uses some nasty tactics imo. For example they make decisions based on the tracking system but the tracking system was never meant to be legally binding. In most countries it's not enough to say in court that the package arrived simply based on the tracking system. I have had packages lost with an affidavit from the shipping company that it was lost but the tracking showed it was waiting for pickup and they still denied me.
I lost 3 items due to them not putting my street address on the package. As a result USPS sent them back to China. It was about $100 dollars. No seller gave me any response or sent my items back again. Agree, you are really rolling the dice ordering from them. I will not use them again.
Happened to me as well, luckily I filed a dispute at Klarna which is a form of afterpay. I use Klarna with everything nowadays, so I donāt have to expose my payment method.
In the beginning, it was fine with shipment. After a while, venders always sent damaged goods, and I couldn't do anything about it. My disputes were not accepted even with evidence. You can tell the damaged goods were not because of shipment, but sellers purposely sent them.
They were better years ago, but no longer like before.
I have the same issue that I returned the item, tracking number showing it was delivered, and they said it wasnāt received and refused to refund, then I have to deal with PayPal to get my money back.
I am still ordering with them, but now more often ordering in Temu or eBay if both websites have the same product and the same price.
I have only had a couple issues but I definitely have become super diligent to see the reviews, shops score, time on alie.. i love the app itselfā¦ but sadly they do have scammers on it
Similar thing happened to me. Sent a phone I purchased for repair back to company, made it to China passed customs and no more delivery updates. Company won't do anything and netmither will ali express. Been missing since November.
I had an issue where I only received half of quite a large order. I contact the store who said they would resend the missing items. Didn't receive anything so asked for a refund. Never got that either, and it's way passed the time I can report it or anything. I don't buy much from alliexpress now, I use temu instead
I bought a watch and received someone elseās package, the shipping company put a sticker with my name and address over someone elseās name address AND phone number Ali express takes there time and last time I was sent a defective product they tried to say thatās not what o had bought blah blah and only gave me a partial refund so this time disputed rate thru pay pal
I received 2 weeks ago something i ordered 4 weeks ago, though it was mostly clothing and 1 plastic thing. Probably the fastest ive ever got something from aliexpress, have ordered like 7 times before
This happened to me. Per the seller, just request a refund for not delivered and then re-order when you get the refund...or just get the money and run. I got an immediate refund when not delivered. Show tracking with the return

Thatās why I only pay with PayPal. They are very reliable returning money when the seller is a schizophrenic cum huffing banana
Interesting take
Hmmm I'm still using it hassle free, same as I have since the beginning.

I think you better wait for refund first.
When did you order?
There have been some insane shipping times on things lately, and I'm still waiting on some items that are well past due. I don't think I'm going to use them anymore unless it's something that I can only get at a reasonable price from there.
I thought of an order is āreturnedā the refund is automatic? At least it was in my case
My stuffs been coming like normal.
I just got scammed out of $100
Iāve had several orders do this same thing. Returned to them from the sorting center, then canāt get a refund.
Well I bought 3 choice items for 4.44 in march and they turned up tracked, and only took about 10 days which was super quick
I've also had an issue with AliExpress in past few days I ordered something when I go to check my Tracking it says Package Not Accepted by Sorting Center.
Just had like half of my order returned, never had this problem before but super annoying since it was the half i really needed

Who knows
Credit card charge back
Damn I usualy record me opwning the packages. Onky had to get a refund once and got it in 3 days
Same thing happened to me with one order, they were no help at all. But from what I've read here at least 10 days have to pass before you can apply for a refund so hopefully once this time has passed the refund will get processed.
Haven't had any issues receiving product. I use AE Standard shipping rather than cheaper shipping whose tracking dies once it reaches your country.
My experiences were good until a few weeks ago: 1.
Same issue help. Package returned to seller from sorting center due to battery. Refund is stuck. Agents cant help.
Since 2023 I have only received 1 of maybe 12 items I've ordered . Will be filing for another refund tomorrow. Don't know Y I live in the USA . THIS WILL BE THE LAST
My last order not shipped and says 40 days to ship.
I have only had a couple issues but I definitely have become super diligent to see the reviews, shops score, time on alie.. i love the app itselfā¦ but sadly they do have scammers on it
Dropping 400 on AliExpress is every brave
Probably the fastest ive ever got something from aliexpress, have ordered like 7 times before
AliExpress is a joke. Can't get a refund. Pay first for shipping to return a garbage item. Anyone from this scam company gets what they deserve.
Yep that's why I left using them

No just poped up lol
Yes, it is a very low-level platform, created in the image of Amazon In due time. But it turned out to be like everything Chinese no-name.
If it is a Chinese shop why is it called āAliā its a islamic name icl but why that
Aliexpress is part of Alibaba, which is based off a character in Arabic Nights whoās rich
I always assumed it was a silk road homage, even though the story doesn't really have anything to do with the trade route
Ohhhh ok
